Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies apprehended Robert Allen Cota Jr.,
39, of Kingman on Monday (11/24) evening after Cota failed to return to
the Mohave County Jail on Wednesday (11/19) morning from a 24-hour
furlough. Cota was arrested on three felony warrants for failure to
appear. These warrants were issued on Thursday (11/20) by Mohave County
Superior Court. Deputies received a tip of the possible whereabouts of
Cota. At about 10:41 p.m., deputies responded to the area of the 3600
block of John L Avenue. Deputies observed a male subject in a dark
hoodie walking on the side of the road. As deputies approached the male
subject with their patrol vehicle, they observed the male subject to be

running east on John L Avenue. Within the same block, deputies tackled
Cota to the ground where he was taken into custody. Cota was
