DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Travis Wayne Carner, 27, of
Fort Mohave, late Friday (11/27) morning on three counts of possession
of drug paraphernalia along with a warrant for possession of marijuana
and possession of drug paraphernalia issued by Bullhead City Justice
Court, both felonies.  Approximately 10:30 a.m., deputies contacted a
male subject in the area of Camino Colorado and Highway 95.  The male
subject was identified as Carner.  A record check showed Carner to have
an outstanding warrant.  Carner was taken into custody without incident.
 A search of Carner revealed two pipes with residue and a small pill
bottle containing marijuana residue.  He was transported and booked into
the Mohave County District II Substation. 

MARIJUANA/ DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Maurice Renee Thomas, 45,
of Golden Valley, late Friday (11/27) morning for possession of
marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Deputies
observed a vehicle speeding at 73 miles per hour in a posted 55 mph zone
on Highway 68.  Approximately 11:40 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic
stop on Highway 68 at Kofa Road and contacted Thomas, the driver.
Deputies immediately smelled an odor of marijuana coming from inside the
vehicle.  Deputies questioned Thomas and he said that he smoked some
marijuana.  Deputies further questioned Thomas and he said there are a
couple roaches in the ash tray and a pipe in the change tray.  Deputies
located 4 smoked marijuana cigarettes and a pipe with marijuana in the
bowl.  Thomas was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  The vehicle was
towed from the scene.  Thomas was also cited for speeding.

EXTREME DUI – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ronnie Burt Schlecht, 53,
of Kingman, early Friday (11/27) evening for DUI, DUI with a blood
alcohol concentration over .08%, extreme DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .15% and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .20%, misdemeanors.  Deputies observed a vehicle
speeding approximately 65 miles per hour in a posted 35 mph zone on
Stockton Hill Road.  Approximately 6:44 p.m., deputies conducted a
traffic stop northbound on Stockton Hill Road at milepost 10 and
contacted Schlecht, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol
coming from the vehicle.  During conversations with Schlecht, he
admitted to drinking 3 beers.  Following the field sobriety tests
(FST’s), Schlecht was taken into custody and transported to the
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office where an analysis revealed his blood
alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .232%.  He was transported booked into
the Mohave County Jail without incident.  The vehicle was towed from the
scene.

BURGLARY/THEFT – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Nathaniel Adam Carr, 27, of
Golden Valley, Friday (11/27) evening for burglary and theft, felonies.
Approximately 4:52 p.m., deputies responded to a delayed theft report at
a residence in the 5200 block of Earl Drive and contacted the
49-year-old female victim.  The victim said that she is letting Carr, a
friend of her son’s; stay on her property in a motor home.  The victim
further said that Carr is not allowed in her house without her
permission.  The victim reported that when she returned home Thursday
(11/26) the following items were missing; cash, hand tools, cordless
drill and manila envelopes.  The victim further reported that Carr
denied taking the items.  The victim said that she told Carr to leave
her property.  Earlier that afternoon, at about 2:15 p.m., deputies
contacted Carr in his parked motor home on Verde Road, north of Aqua
Fria Drive.  A record check showed Carr to have a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court on 11-13-09.  Carr
was taken into custody, transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail without incident.  The theft investigation continued, as deputies
searched Carr’s motor home.  The search revealed miscellaneous tools,
a cordless drill and manila envelopes.  Deputies contacted Carr at the
jail and charged him with the above additional charges. 

MARIJUANA/ DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ronald Eugene Stinson, 50,
of Kingman, Friday (11/27) evening for possession of marijuana and
possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 10:16 p.m.,
deputies responded to a suspicious male subject walking in yards of
residences in the 3600 block of Lum Avenue.  Upon arrival, deputies
contacted a male subject identified as Stinson inside a fenced yard.
During conversations with Stinson, he said he didn’t know who lived at
the residence.  Deputies questioned Stinson about having any illegal
items on him.  With a consent search of Stinson, deputies located a
prescription pill bottle containing marijuana.  Stinson was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail. 

3 ARRESTS – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three California residents
from Needles early Saturday (11/28) morning.  Timothy Deantwan Harris,
23, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug
paraphernalia, felonies.  Kenneth Andrew Litchfield and Mark Christopher
Mannor, both 19, were arrested for minor consumption, misdemeanor.  At
about 2:18 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Highway 95 at
milepost 227 in regards to intoxicated subjects walking on Highway 95.
Upon arrival, deputies located three male subjects identified as Harris,
Litchfield and Mannor.  During conversations with all three subjects,
they all admitted to drinking beer earlier.  With a consent search of
Harris, deputies located a plastic bag containing marijuana.  Harris was
taken into custody without incident.  Deputies took Litchfield and
Mannor into custody after learning they were underage to consume
alcohol.  Harris, Litchfield and Mannor transported and booked into the
Mohave County District II Substation.
 
DUI – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Barry James Croteau, 27, of
Lake Havasu City, early Sunday (11/29) morning for DUI and DUI with a
blood alcohol concentration over .08%, misdemeanors.  Approximately 2:20
a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Havasupai
Boulevard and contacted Croteau, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor
of alcohol on Croteau.  During conversations with Croteau, he admitted
to consuming beer a couple hours ago.  Following the field sobriety
tests (FST’s), Croteau was taken into custody and transported to the
Mohave County District III Substation where an analysis revealed his
blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .137%.  He was booked into the
jail without incident.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

SUSPENDED LICENSE/WARRANT ARREST – HORIZON SIX
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Mitchell Simon, 49,
of Lake Havasu City, late Sunday (11/29) afternoon for driving with a
suspended license, knowingly display fictitious license plate and a
contempt of court warrant issued by Lake Havasu Justice Court, all
misdemeanors.  Approximately 4:53 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic
stop in the 4000 block of Gold Springs Drive and contacted Simon, the
driver.  A record check showed Simon to have a suspended driver’s
license and an outstanding warrant.  A computer check showed the license
plate on the vehicle belonged to another vehicle.  Simon was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Edmond Bryson Jr.,
21, of Coachella, Calif., early Sunday (11/29) evening for possession of
drug paraphernalia, felony.  Approximately 7:33 p.m., deputies
approached a parked vehicle with its rear passenger door open in the 400
block of Cibola Lane.  As deputies approached the passenger door, they
observed a male subject later identified as Bryson bending over and
making a motion to the area beneath the vehicle.  Deputies shined their
flashlight and observed a glass pipe in path of the vehicle’s tire.
Deputies retrieved the glass pipe with burnt residue.  Bryson was taken
into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the
Mohave County District III Substation. 

2X’S MOLESTATION OF A CHILD – KINGMAN    
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Joshua James Edwards, 18,
of Kingman, Wednesday (11/25) afternoon on two counts of molestation of
a child, felonies.  The investigation began on Tuesday (11/17) when
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office received a fax from family services in
Nevada identifying Edwards as a suspect in a molestation incident.
Detectives contacted Edwards.  Investigations determined the incidents
occurred over the past 3 years.  At about 4:00 p.m., detectives arrested
Edwards at the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.  He was transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident. 

EXTREME DUI – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Stephanie Noel Dennis, 24,
of Fort Mohave, early Thursday (11/26) evening for DUI, DUI with a blood
alcohol concentration over .08%, extreme DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .15% and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .20%, misdemeanors.  Approximately 6:35 p.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5500 block of Mountain View
Road and contacted Dennis, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of
alcohol on Dennis.  During conversations with Dennis, she admitted to
have been drinking throughout the day.  Dennis refused to perform the
field sobriety tests (FST’s) as requested by deputies.  Dennis was
taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District II
Substation where an analysis revealed her blood alcohol concentration
(BAC) to be .256%.  She was booked into the jail without incident.  The
vehicle was towed from the scene.

DRUGS – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Steven Anthony Manda, 51,
of Lake Havasu City, Sunday (11/29) evening for possession of drugs,
felony.  Approximately 9:08 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on
Papago at Llanos and contacted Manda, the driver.  A search of the
vehicle revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance
which field tested positive for methamphetamine.  Manda was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kimberly Robinson Hayes,
47, of Fort Mohave on Wednesday (11/25) night for outstanding felony
warrants.  Approximately 11:00 pm, deputies contacted Hayes at a
residence in the 1500 block of Las Colinas Lane.  A record check showed
Hayes to have warrants for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of
marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, all issued by Bullhead
City Justice Court.  Hayes was taken into custody without incident.
Hayes was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Sub-station.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Isidoros Demetrios Mattes,
36, of Kingman on Wednesday (11/25) afternoon for several outstanding
warrants.  Approximately 1:00 pm, deputies contacted Mattes in the area
of Northern Avenue and Benton.  A record check showed Mattes to have a
misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice
Court and two misdemeanor warrants for probation violation and for
failure to appear issued by Kingman Municipal Court.  Mattes was taken
into custody without incident.  Mattes was transported and booked into
the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Arnold Ariel Mattoni, 58,
of Kingman on Wednesday (11/25) for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
Approximately 4:00 pm, deputies contacted Mattoni in the area of
Thompson Avenue and Melody.  A record check showed Mattoni to have a
warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice Court.
Mattoni was taken into custody without incident.  Mattoni was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
 
 
Wednesday, November 25, 2009     MOHAVE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPT NEWS

INJURY ACCIDENT – CEDAR HILLS (WEST OF KINGMAN)
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle injury
accident that occurred in the area of McCarrel Road and McLaughlin Drive
late Monday (11/23) afternoon.  Approximately 3:33 p.m. deputies
responded to the scene of a roll over accident where the driver, of a
2004 GMC Tahoe, and passenger suffered injuries.  The driver identified
as Rachel Leonard Hambert, 52, of Kingman, was airlifted to Kingman
Regional Medical Center by Guardian Air.  The passenger identified as
Brandon Navarro, 24, of Apache Junction, was transported by River
Medical to Kingman Regional Medical Center.  Hambert was traveling
around a sharp turn in the road when the vehicle hit an embankment and
rolled once.  The driver was wearing a seatbelt while the passenger was
not.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.  This accident remains under
investigation.

WARRANTS ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michelle Rae Traskell, 32,
of Kingman, late Tuesday (11/24) morning on a felony probation violation
warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court and a misdemeanor failure
to pay fines warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Approximately
10:48 a.m., deputies responded to the location of the 2900 block of
Butler Avenue.
Upon arrival, deputies contacted Traskell regarding her outstanding
warrants.  A record check confirmed the warrants.  Traskell was taken
into custody without incident.  She was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail. 

 
Tuesday, November 24, 2009    MOHAVE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPT NEWS

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joseph Thomas Colvin, 26,
of Kingman, Monday (11/23) evening on a failure to pay fines misdemeanor
warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Approximately 9:00 p.m.,
deputies contacted Colvin as he was walking in the area of David Drive
and Diagonal Way.  A record check showed Colvin to have an outstanding
warrant.  Colvin was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christina Marie Griffis,
20, of Kingman, Monday (11/23) evening on a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court.  Approximately
9:30 p.m., deputies contacted Griffis at a residence in the 3600 block
of Diagonal Way in an unrelated matter.  A record check showed Griffis
to have an outstanding warrant.  Griffis was taken into custody without
incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Billy Charles Lawrence, 22,
of Needles, Ca., late Monday (11/23) evening on a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court on original
charge of obstructing a governmental operation.  Approximately 11:58
p.m., deputies contacted Lawrence during a traffic stop in the area of
Harbor and Plantation.  A record check showed Lawrence to have an
outstanding warrant.  Lawrence was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation.

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Allen Vicari, 39, of
Lake Havasu City, early Sunday (11/22) morning on a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu Justice Court.  Approximately
1:17 a.m., deputies contacted Vicari at a residence in the 2400 block of
Little Plaza in an unrelated matter.  A record check showed Vicari to
have an outstanding warrant.  Vicari was taken into custody without
incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District
III Substation.

ARMED ROBBERY

 On November 23, 2009, at 2:57 pm, Victor Malaro, 41, of Mohave County robbed a local store in downtown Kingman. Malaro came into the business and brandished a weapon and demanded money. Malaro left in an unknown direction.  The Kingman Police Department and Silent Witness are offering a reward for his arrest and conviction.  If you have any information please call the Kingman Police Department at (928) 753-2191, or Silent Witness at 1-888-227-8780.

According to the reports that CAT received, Malaro robbed "Healthy Habits" on Beale street in Kingman. Then there were reports that he might have driven to Bullhead and robbed a gun store, later there was another report that said he had come back into town and robbed a gas station around 5 PM.  As of 9 pm he had not been caught.

These last reports have not been verified.

Fraudulent Schemes and Artifices, Forgery x 2, Felony Theft

On November 11, 2009, Kingman Police Detectives, arrested local resident Cathryn Jane Davis, 45, for fraudulent schemes and artifices, two counts of forgery, and one count of felony theft.  Davis was the office manager for a local business and it was advised that money, checks and other accounts hadn’t been getting paid, and accounts were being transferred without the owners’ knowledge or permission.  It was later determined that Davis was responsible and admitted  involvement.  Davis admitted to taking money and checks in the amount of $2,790.00.  Davis was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Weapons Offense and Warrant Arrest Felony

On Sunday, November 22nd, 2009, at 6:00 am, Kingman Police Officer’s arrested John Paul Ramos, 26, of Kingman, for a felony warrant, weapons offense, shoplifting, and assault. Officer’s responded to a local business in the 3300 block of east Andy Devine Avenue, in reference to a shoplifter in custody.  When officer’s arrived they saw three people holding Ramos down on the ground.  Officer’s took Ramos into custody and subsequent to arrest he was patted down for weapons and a small caliber handgun was found in his front pocket of his jacket.  It was advised that Ramos was going through the store with his hood on and was trying to purchase some alcoholic beverages, before legal time on Sunday.  When confronted by the manager he dropped the beer and attempted to run.  The store manager wrestled with Ramos and another store employee and a store patron intervened and helped to subdue Ramos.  The manager advised that while they were wrestling with Ramos he continued to try and gain access to his sweatshirt pockets, the manager was unaware of the weapon.  It was later advised after running Ramos that he was a prohibited possessor.    Ramos was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

BURGLARY/THEFT – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Wesley Edward Herbert, 35,
of Golden Valley, Sunday (11/22) morning for burglary, theft, possession
of stolen property, felonies, and two outstanding warrants.
Approximately 8:28 a.m., deputies responded to a burglary report at a
business located in the 4100 block of Highway 68 and contacted the
manager.  The manager reported that someone broke into the business
sometime after midnight.  The manager further reported that a computer
monitor, a wireless router and credit cards were taken.  Deputies
observed damage to the front entrance door.  The manager advised that
the owner suspects a former employees boyfriend identified as Herbert to
be the suspect.  During the investigation, deputies made contact with
Herbert, at about 9:15 a.m., at a residence in the 3600 block of Highway
68.  A record check showed Herbert to have two contempt of court
misdemeanor warrants issued by Kingman Justice Court and Kingman
Municipal Court.  Herbert was taken into custody without incident.  A
search of the residence revealed the reported stolen computer equipment.
 Herbert was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANTS ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joseph Manuel Angel, 23, of
Bullhead City, early Monday (11/23) morning on two misdemeanor warrants
for failure to pay fines issued by Lake Havasu Municipal Court and La
Paz County.  Approximately 12:10 a.m., deputy’s contacted Angel at a
convenience store located in 4400 block of Highway 95 in an unrelated
matter.  A record check showed Angel to have outstanding warrants.
Angel was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and
booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Randy Deed Payton, 20, of
Golden Valley, Saturday (11/21) evening on a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court.  Deputies
observed a speeding vehicle in the area.  At about 7:25 p.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop in a parking lot at Highway 68 and Adobe Road.
Deputies contacted Payton and a record check showed him to have an
outstanding warrant.  Payton was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.   

WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeremy Kenneth Shorter, 28,
of Kingman, Saturday (11/21) evening on a contempt of court misdemeanor
warrant issued by Lake Havasu Municipal Court.  Approximately 10:35
p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Estrella
Road and contacted Shorter, the driver.  A record check showed Shorter
to have an outstanding warrant.  Shorter was taken into custody without
incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  


WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Samantha Rae Parsons, 33,
of Kingman, early Sunday (11/22) morning on a failure to appear
misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Approximately 1:50
a.m., deputies contacted Parsons as she was walking on the shoulder of
the road in the 2500 block of Northern Avenue.  A record check showed
Parsons to have an outstanding warrant.  Parsons was taken into custody
without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.   

WARRANT ARREST – SCENIC (AZ STRIP)
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Rodney Wayne Hatter, 48, of
Scenic, early Saturday (11/21) afternoon on a misdemeanor warrant for
assault per domestic violence issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court.
Approximately 1:00 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 91
at milepost 4 and contacted Hatter, the driver.  A record check showed
Hatter to have an outstanding warrant.  Hatter was taken into custody
without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mesquite Jail.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at the Mohave
County Jail on Saturday (11/21) regarding an assault on a Detention
Officer by an inmate.  Approximately 9:41 p.m., deputies spoke with the
victim, a Detention Officer, and he reported that Bennie Bernard
Masters, 30, of Kingman, assaulted him.  The Detention Office said that
while Masters was being escorted to his cell, he was uncooperative and
Masters kicked him.  Detention Officer’s further restrained Masters
with pepper spray.  Masters was charged with aggravated assault on
detention officer, felony. 

SUSPENDED LICENSE/WARRANTS ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Callina Craven, 50, of
Kingman, Sunday (11/22) evening on a felony warrant for possession of
drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines both
issued by Kingman Justice Court and driving with a suspended license, a
misdemeanor.  Approximately 10:36 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic
stop in the area of Chino Drive and Horn Road.  Deputies contacted
Craven, the driver.  A record check showed Craven to have a suspended
driver’s license and outstanding warrants.  Craven was taken into
custody without incident.  She was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene. 

MARIJUANA FOR SALE/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Philip Craig Bowman, 27, of
Lake Havasu City, late Sunday (11/22) evening for possession of
marijuana for sale, possession of marijuana and possession of drug
paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 11:00 p.m., deputies conducted a
traffic stop in the 2500 block of San Juan Avenue.  As deputies were
approaching the vehicle, they observed the driver, later identified as
Bowman, make a secretly movement with his right hand.  Deputies
questioned Bowman.  During conversations with Bowman, he said that he
has a digital scale in his pocket.  Deputies located a silver scale in
Bowman’s cargo shorts along with 31 small clear plastic bags.  Bowman
was taken into custody without incident.  A search of the vehicle
revealed a plastic bag containing 84 grams of marijuana.  Bowman was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

WARRANTS ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Jeremy Wickerd, 33,
of Kingman, early Thursday (11/19) afternoon on a fraudulent
schemes/artifices felony warrant and a contempt of court misdemeanor
warrant, both issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Approximately 12:12
p.m., deputies contacted Wickerd in the 2400 block of Northfield Avenue.
 A record check showed Wickerd to have outstanding warrants.  Wickerd
was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked
into the Mohave County Jail. 

SUSPENDED LICENSE/ WARRANTS ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Diana Dawn Posey, 37, of
Kingman, Thursday (11/19) morning for driving with a suspended license,
a contempt of court warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court and three
failure to appear warrants issued by Kingman Justice Court, all
misdemeanors.  Approximately 6:50 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic
stop in the 3100 block of John L Avenue and contacted Posey, the driver.
 A record check showed Posey to have a suspended driver’s license and
outstanding warrants.  Posey was taken into custody without incident.
She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  The vehicle
was towed from the scene.

LITTERING – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mark Dawaine Larsen, 54, of
Kingman, Tuesday (11/17) afternoon for littering and two failure to pay
fines warrants issued by Kingman Justice Court and Kingman Municipal
Court, all misdemeanors.  Approximately 4:10 p.m., deputies responded to
a Good Samaritan reporting that a male subject in a blue and white truck
was dumping in a wash in the area of Potter Avenue and Sierra Road.
Upon arrival, deputies contacted Larsen.  Deputies observed items dumped
in the wash.  A record check showed Larsen to have outstanding warrants.
 Larsen was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail.

HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives and deputies responded to a death
investigation Wednesday (11/18) afternoon.  Approximately 1:43 p.m.,
deputies responded to the 4500 block of Vernetti Lane and contacted the
reporting party.  The reporting party said that he came home and found
his roommate unresponsive and lying on the living room floor.  Medical
responded and declared Robert Egar Buss, 85, of Kingman, deceased at the
scene.  The victim died of apparent stab wounds.  Anyone with any
information is asked to contact Mohave County Sheriff’s Office at
(928) 753-0753 or Silent Witness at (928) 753-1234.  A reward up to
$1,000 has been offered for information leading to the arrest and
conviction of the person(s) responsible for the victim’s death.  This
case remains under investigation and autopsy results are pending. 

PROMOTING PRISON CONTRABAND – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Mohave County
Superior Court at 401 E. Spring Street in reference to a disturbance
with an inmate Wednesday (11/18) afternoon.  At about 2:15 p.m.,
deputies contacted the Detention Officer. The Detention Officer reported
that inmate Joseph Ken Cotten, 29, of Bullhead City, was in a court room
when he picked something up from the floor.  Cotton was searched and
nothing was located.  After Cotton’s court appearance he was escorted
back to the jail where he was put in a cell by himself.  A short time
later, Cotton flushed the toilet and a Detention Officer observed
tobacco in the toilet.  Deputies contacted Cotton and charged him with
promoting prison contraband, felony.

MAGNET EXECUTES SEARCH WARRANT – KINGMAN
Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET) detectives
served a search warrant in the 4600 block of Patsy Drive Tuesday (11/17)
morning.  The search revealed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Billie Lee Owens, 60, of Kingman, was arrested for possession of
dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Larry
Dale Davis, 55, of Kingman, was arrested for possession of drug
paraphernalia and probation violation, felonies.  Owens and Davis were
booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.

WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Nathaniel David Langan, 41,
of Golden Valley, Tuesday (11/17) afternoon on a felony warrant with 7
counts of endangerment per domestic violence and unlawful flight from
law enforcement issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Approximately 2:50
p.m., deputies contacted Langan at a residence in the 3600 block of N
Ajo Road.  Langan was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 



2X’S BURGLARY – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Leon Hutchison, 48,
and Sheena Jean Greathouse Farmer, 20, both of Mohave Valley, Monday
(11/16) evening.  Hutchison and Greathouse Farmer were each arrested for
burglary, a felony.  Approximately 9:00 p.m., deputies responded to a
burglary in progress in the 8000 block of Harquahala Drive.  While
enroute, the reporting party advised that the white Suburban was leaving
the property and traveling westbound on King Street from Harquahala
Drive.  While proceeding to the residence, deputies observed a white
Suburban matching the description.  Deputies immediately made a u-turn
and conducted a traffic stop on King Street at Highway 95.  Deputies
contacted the driver identified as Hutchison and the passenger
identified as Greathouse Farmer.  Deputies observed miscellaneous items
in containers in the rear of the vehicle and on the floor of the
passenger side.  During conversations with Hutchison, he said the items
were for a garage sale.  Another deputy proceeded to the residence in
the 8000 block of Harquahala Drive and determined a burglary had taken
place.  Hutchison and Greathouse Farmer were taken into custody without
incident.  Deputies responded back to the residence where they were met
by the 57-year-old male victim.  The victim identified all of the items,
as belonging to him, which was recovered from the vehicle.  Hutchison
and Greathouse Farmer were transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation.

SUSPENDED LICENSE/WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Eric Joseph Rawlings, 38,
of Lake Havasu City, Monday (11/16) morning for driving with a suspended
license and a contempt of court warrant issued by Lake Havasu Justice
Court, both misdemeanors.  Approximately 7:54 a.m., deputies recognized
Rawlings driving a vehicle and deputies knew Rawlings to have a
suspended driver’s license for a prior DUI and an outstanding warrant.
 Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Lake Havasu Avenue at South Palo
Verde and contacted Rawlings. A record check confirmed Rawlings
suspended license and active warrant.  Rawlings was taken into custody
without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District III Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

THEFT/DRUGS/ DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Todd Brian Osborne, 29, of
Fort Mohave, and Mary Christine Haan, 25, of Bullhead City, Sunday
(11/15) evening.  Osborne was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs
and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Haan was arrested on a
failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City
Municipal Court.  Approximately 9:00 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic
stop in the 4700 block of Calle Del Media.  Deputies contacted Osborne,
the driver, and Haan, the passenger.  A record check showed Haan to have
an outstanding warrant.  Haan was taken into custody without incident.
A search of the vehicle revealed a glass pipe with residue and a plastic
bag containing a crystalline substance which field tested positive for
methamphetamine.  Osborne was taken into custody without incident.
Osborne and Haan were transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation.  Osborne was identified as a possible suspect in
automobile burglaries in the area.  Further investigations led deputies
to execute a search warrant early Monday (11/16) morning at about 2:21
a.m. at his residence in the 4700 block of Calle Del Media.  The search
revealed a laptop computer which was reported stolen from a vehicle in
Fort Mohave Sunday (11/15) morning.  Osborne was also charged with
possession of stolen property, a felony.  Investigation continues as
Osborne may be linked to more automobile burglaries.

MARIJUANA/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Adam Russell Williams, 27,
of Kingman, Sunday (11/15) evening for possession of marijuana and
possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 8:15 p.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop at Thompson Avenue and Rose Street.
Deputies contacted Williams, the driver.  Williams was cited for a stop
sign violation.  As the deputy was concluding the traffic stop, he
smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  A K9 Handler
responded and deployed his K9 named Zelig to conduct a search of the
vehicle.  Within minutes, the K9 alerted his handler to illegal drugs in
the vehicle.  Deputies located a plastic bag containing marijuana inside
the center console of the vehicle.  Williams was taken into custody
without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene. 

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Raymond Banda Felix, 54, of
Kingman, Sunday (11/15) evening on a child support nonpayment felony
warrant issued out of Pima County Superior Court.  Approximately 10:12
p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 1700
block of Jagerson Avenue.  Deputies contacted Felix and a record check
showed him to have an outstanding warrant.  Felix was taken into custody
without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail.
 


MARIJUANA/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Shantel Marie Alanis, 36,
of Kingman, early Friday (11/13) afternoon for possession of marijuana
and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 1:06
p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3800 block of Northfield
Avenue and contacted Alanis, the driver.  A record check showed Alanis
to have a suspended driver’s license. 
Alanis was taken into custody without incident.  A search of Alanis’s
purse revealed a metal pipe with burnt marijuana and a plastic bag
containing marijuana.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.  Alanis was also
cited on a misdemeanor charge of driving on suspended license.

FAILURE TO REGISTER/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ian Patrick Grimes, 22, of
Kingman, late Friday (11/13) evening for failure to register as a sex
offender and registered sex offender with no valid identification, both
felonies.  Approximately 11:08 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop
in the area of Andy Devine Avenue and Detroit Avenue.  Grimes identified
himself with an expired Arizona Identification Card.  The identification
did not reflect his current address.  Dispatch advised that Grimes was
subject to sex offender registration.  Grimes was taken into custody
without incident.  A search of Grimes revealed a pipe with burnt reside.
 Grimes was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a
felony.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

BURGLARY – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Clark Mason, 47, of
Golden Valley, early Saturday (11/14) afternoon for burglary, felony.
Approximately 8:50 a.m., deputies responded to a burglary report in the
3900 block of Abrigo Drive and contacted the 44-year-old male victim.
The victim reported that someone broke into his shed and took fishing
rods, fishing reels, tools and a mountain bike.  Investigations led
deputies to a nearby residence in the same block.  Deputies observed the
reported stolen mountain bike to be in the front yard of the residence
along with a few fishing reels.  At about 1:20 p.m., deputy’s
contacted the suspect identified as Mason.  During conversations with
Mason he admitted to breaking into the place down the street from his
house and taking fishing items, tools, chairs and a bicycle.  The stolen
items were recovered.  Mason was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jillene Marie Dennis, 46,
of Lake Havasu City, late Saturday (11/14) afternoon on a failure to pay
fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu Municipal Court.
Approximately 4:45 p.m., deputies contacted Dennis during a traffic stop
on El Dorado at Bermuda.  A record check showed Dennis to have an
outstanding warrant.  Dennis was taken into custody without incident.
She was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III
Substation.

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joseph John Guerino, 21, of
Lake Havasu City, Saturday (11/14) evening on a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu Justice Court.  Approximately
9:03 p.m., deputies contacted Guerino during a traffic stop on North
Palo Verde at London Bridge Road.  A record check showed Guerino to have
an outstanding warrant.  Guerino was taken into custody without
incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District
III Substation.

ALCOHOL OFFENSE/DUI – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Blake Joseph Bartels, 19,
of Lake Havasu City, Saturday (11/14) evening for DUI, DUI with a blood
alcohol concentration over .08%, and minor under age consumption of
alcohol while operating vehicle, misdemeanors.  Approximately 9:57 p.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop on McCulloch Boulevard at Pueblo and
contacted Bartels, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on
Bartels.  During conversations with Bartels, he said that he had three
beers earlier that evening.  Following the field sobriety tests
(FST’s), Bartels was taken into custody and transported to the
Mohave County District III Substation where an analysis revealed his
blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .089%.  He was booked into the
jail without incident.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

AGGRAVATED DUI – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Patrick Shirden, 51,
of Lake Havasu City, Saturday (11/14) evening for aggravated DUI,
felony, and a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake
Havasu Municipal Court.  Deputies observed a vehicle severely swerving
in the number two lane traveling northbound on Highway 95.
Approximately 10:00 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on
Cottonwood Drive near Highway 95 and contacted Shirden, the driver.
Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle.
During conversations with Shirden, he admitted to having been drinking
earlier.  A record check revealed Shirden to have a suspended driver’s
license and an outstanding warrant.  Following the field sobriety tests
(FST’s), Shirden was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave
County District II Substation where an analysis revealed his blood
alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .202%.  He was booked into the jail
without incident.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

3X’S ALCOHOL OFFENSE/DUI – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three Lake Havasu City
juveniles for minor for consumption of alcohol early Sunday (11/15)
morning.  Jeremy Howard Batson, 18, was arrested for DUI, DUI with a
blood alcohol concentration over .08%, and minor underage consumption of
alcohol while operating vehicle, misdemeanors.  Joshua Christopher
Yeomans, 20, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of minor consumption
of alcohol.  Jesse Bryan Clark, 17, was cited and released on a
misdemeanor charge of minor consumption of alcohol and a curfew
violation.  Approximately 1:50 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop
on Kiowa North at Highway 95 and contacted Batson, the driver.  Deputies
immediately smelled an odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle.
A Lake Havasu City Police Officer responded and assisted.  Deputies had
Batson exit the vehicle.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Batson.
 During conversations with Batson, he said that he had not consumed any
alcoholic beverage.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s),
Batson was taken into custody.  Deputies contacted the front seated
passenger identified as Clark.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on
Clark.  During conversations with Clark, he admitted to having a beer
earlier.  Clark was taken into custody without incident.  Deputies
contacted a second passenger identified as Yeomans.  During
conversations with Yeomans, he admitted to drinking earlier.  Batson,
Clark and Yeomans were transported to the Mohave County District III
Substation.  An analysis revealed Batson’s blood alcohol concentration
(BAC) to be .092%.  Batson and Yeomans were booked into the jail.  Clark
was cited and released to parents.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

MARIJUANA/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Timothy Eugene Videon, 20,
of Kingman, early Sunday (11/15) afternoon for possession of marijuana
and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 4:00
p.m., deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle
continued without stopping.  After a few blocks the vehicle stopped in
the 2600 block of Ames Avenue.  Deputies immediately detained the
driver, later identified as Videon.  Deputies questioned Videon.  Videon
advised that he has two marijuana cigarettes and he wanted to get his
vehicle to a friendly house to avoid having his Chevy Blazer being
towed.  A search of Videon revealed a plastic bag containing marijuana
and a search of the vehicle revealed two marijuana cigarettes.  Videon
was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without further
incident.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

SUSPENDED LICENSE – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ronald Clement Freel, 61,
of Lake Havasu City, Thursday (11/12) morning for driving with a
suspended license, misdemeanor.  Approximately 7:43 a.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop at Park Terrace and North Palo Verde on a 1989
Dodge Van for running a red stop light at North Palo Verde and Highway
95.  Deputies contacted Freel, the driver.  A record check showed Freel
to have a suspended driver’s license due to a DUI.  Freel was taken
into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the
Mohave County District III Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the
scene.


WARRANTS ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested William Rick Wenerstrom,
35, of Kingman, early Thursday (11/12) evening on a failure to appear
warrant and a failure to pay fines warrant both misdemeanor warrants
issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Approximately 7:42 p.m., deputies
responded to a disturbance in the 3000 block of Northfield Avenue.  A
record check showed Wenerstrom to have outstanding warrants.  Wenerstrom
was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked
into the Mohave County Jail.
 

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Jeremy Ray Branson, 24,
of Golden Valley, Wednesday (11/11) afternoon for possession of drug
paraphernalia, felony.  Approximately 2:15 p.m., detectives made contact
with Branson in the 6700 block of West Abrigo Drive.  Detectives found
Branson to be in possession of a glass pipe with residue.  Branson was
taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into
the Mohave County Jail.

ROBBERY – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives and deputies responded to a
robbery at a convenience store located in the 6700 block of Highway 68
early Wednesday (11/11) afternoon at about 1:00 p.m.  Dispatch advised
that a male suspect held a clerk at gunpoint and left with an
undisclosed amount of cash.  The clerk, a 19, year-old male victim
identified as Shahbir Singh, was shot in the foot.  The victim was
transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center and later taken to
Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas.

The suspect is described as a male subject approximately 5’05” to
5’08” with a thin built and weighting between 130 to 160 pounds.
The suspect was wearing a ski mask with dark clothing. 

The male suspect left in a black Ford Ranger pick-up truck. The truck
was later found at Hoover Road and Burro Drive where the truck had been
set on fire.  The truck was reported stolen out of Golden Valley on
Monday (11/9).  Apparently, the male suspect was picked up from that
location by a second vehicle.

WARRANTS ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Terrence John O’Hara,
34, of Golden Valley, Tuesday (11/10) afternoon on a failure to register
as a sex offender felony warrant and a probation violation felony
warrant, both issued by Mohave County Superior Court.  Approximately
4:20 p.m., detectives contacted O’Hara at a residence in the 200 block
of Bouse Road regarding his outstanding warrants.  O’Hara was taken
into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 



WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Bobby Gene Letcher Jr., 33,
of Fort Mohave, Tuesday (11/10) afternoon on a fugitive from justice
felony warrant issued out of California Department of Corrections.
Approximately 3:11 p.m., deputies contacted Letcher at a residence in
the 2600 block of Sunrise Vista Boulevard regarding his outstanding
warrant.  Letcher was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

WARRANTS ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David Leander Hickle, 23,
of Golden Valley, early Tuesday (11/10) evening on two probation
violation felony warrants, both issued by Mohave County Superior Court.
Approximately 6:50 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area
of Melody and Hearne.  Deputies contacted Hickle, the driver.  A record
check showed Hickle to have outstanding warrants.  Hickle was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ray Dean Gaulding, 50, of
Fort Mohave, early Tuesday (11/10) evening on a felony warrant for
possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of
drug paraphernalia issued by Mohave County Superior Court.
Approximately 7:30 p.m., deputies contacted Gaulding at a residence in
the 1600 block of Joy Lane regarding his outstanding warrant.  Gaulding
was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

WARRANTS ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kevin Robert Walsh II, 18,
of Kingman, Wednesday (11/11) morning on a dangerous drug violation
felony warrant and a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant, both
issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Approximately 7:00 a.m., deputies
contacted Walsh during a traffic stop at the intersection of Willow Road
and Northern Avenue.  A record check showed Walsh to have outstanding
warrants.  Walsh was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jennafer Alexis Zatezalo,
38, of Lake Havasu City, Saturday (11/7) evening on a failure to pay
fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu Justice Court.
Approximately 9:00 p.m., deputies contacted Zatezalo in the area of
London Bridge Road and Bryden Street regarding her outstanding warrant.
Zatezalo was taken into custody without incident.  She was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

INJURY ACCIDENT TURNS FATAL – HORIZON SIX (SOUTH OF LAKE HAVASU CITY)
 
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an all terrain injury
accident Wednesday (11/12) afternoon.  At about 3:44 p.m., deputies
responded to a residence in the 4000 block of Little Finger Road
regarding people involved in an all terrain accident.  Upon arrival,
deputies learned that the group of ATV riders called 911 from the
nearest residence as none of them was carrying a cell phone with them.
The ATV riders were riding in the desert about one mile east from houses
in the Little Finger area when the accident occurred.  Leonard Eisenman,
59, of Lake Havasu City, was driving his all terrain vehicle with his
wife as passenger.  The riders were climbing a steep hill when Eisenman
and his wife tumbled over backwards as they approached the top.  
Eisenman was airlifted to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas where he
was later pronounced dead.  Eisenman’s wife Linda Thomas, 58, suffered
cuts and abrasions.  She was transported to Havasu Regional Medical
Center where she was treated and released.  The accident remains under
investigation.

THEFT/FRAUD – TOPOCK
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Jon Sandoval, 44,
of Golden Shores, Wednesday (11/11) morning for theft of means of
transportation and fraudulent schemes, felonies.  November 2, 2009,
deputies responded to a business in the 5000 block of Adobe Place
regarding an auto theft report.  Deputies contacted the manager.  The
manager reported that the businesses trash truck was parked in their
business parking lot when it was picked up by a tow company.  The
manager further said that she located their vehicle at a tow company in
Needles.  Investigations determined that Sandoval instructed the tow
company to remove the vehicle and Sandoval received a check for turning
over the vehicle to a salvage yard.  Upon further investigations, at
about 8:14 a.m., deputies contacted Sandoval at a residence in the 13100
block of Shore Parkway in Golden Shores.  During conversations with
Sandoval, he said that he decided to clean up the community on his own.
Further conversations with Sandoval, he said that a friend of his
suggested that he take that truck in his community cleanup.  Sandoval
advised that he contacted the wrecking yard to pick the truck up and he
did receive payment.  Sandoval was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT/TRESPASSING – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Anita Kay Warren, 49, of
Lake Havasu City, late Wednesday (11/11) morning for disorderly conduct
and trespassing, misdemeanors.  Approximately 11:34 a.m., deputies
responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 1100 block of Riverside
Drive and contacted the 57-year-old female victim.  The victim reported
that Warren entered her residence without permission and was causing a
disturbance.  Deputies contacted Warren in the garage.  Warren was not
cooperating while deputies were speaking with her.  Warren would not
comply with deputies commands to exit the garage.  Warren was escorted
out of the garage and became combative.  After a short struggle, Warren
was taken into custody.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation without further incident.
 
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Taryn Ann Lackey, 24, of
Desert Hills, Wednesday (11/11) evening for assault per domestic
violence, a misdemeanor.  Approximately 8:55 p.m., deputies responded to
an assault report at a residence in the 3100 block of Lake Drive
contacted the 59-year-old male victim.  The victim reported that Lackey,
his daughter, jumped on his back and started hitting him in the head.
Lackey was taken into custody without incident.  She was transported and
booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

Burglary

On Wednesday November 11th, 2009 at 1:15 am, Kingman Police Officers arrested Allen G. Eberth, 30, and William Eisenlord, 49, of Kingman, for Burglary.  Officers were in the 3400 block of North Bank St. when they heard metal clanging.  Officers walked over to the location the sound was coming from and saw a maroon colored passenger vehicle, and a male subject shutting the trunk.  The Officer yelled at the subject to stop and he took off at a high rate of speed.  The Officers advised the Mohave County Sheriff’s dispatch  that the vehicle was headed northbound, and a short time later Sheriff’s Deputies advised that the vehicle had crashed at Northern and Willow.   Eberth was taken into custody at the scene and Eisenlord was located a short distance away.  Evidence was located in the vehicle from the business where the vehicle was seen earlier. Both suspects were booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Tuesday, November 10, 2009    MOHAVE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPT NEWS

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/THEFT – KINGMAN
Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET) detectives
arrested Juan Javier Ortiz, 30, of Kingman, early Monday (11/9)
afternoon for possession of stolen property, possession of dangerous
drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and an unlawful flight from law
enforcement warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court, all felonies.
Approximately 1:30 p.m., detectives observed a vehicle in the 3700 block
of Lum Avenue matching the description of a reported stolen vehicle.  A
computer check of the vehicles license plate showed the plate was
reported stolen.  Shortly thereafter, detectives observed a male subject
approach the vehicle and open the driver’s door.  The male subject
then closed the door and proceeded to the passenger side of the vehicle.
 At that time, detectives attempted to make contact with the male
subject, but he observed the detectives and he started running.
Detectives followed the male subject as he jumped fences and continued
to run.  Eventually, the male subject was apprehended after he climbed
over a six foot fence.  The male subject was identified as Ortiz and
Detectives knew Ortiz to have an outstanding warrant.  Ortiz was taken
into custody without incident.  A search of Ortiz revealed a glass pipe
with residue and two plastic bags containing a crystal substance which
field tested positive for methamphetamine.  A computer check on the
vehicle showed it had been reported stolen.  Ortiz was transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the
scene. 

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Sean Edward Nygard, 34, of
Mohave Valley, early Sunday (11/8) afternoon for possession of drug
paraphernalia, felony, and driving with a suspended license,
misdemeanor.  Approximately 12:50 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic
stop in the 1600 block of Laguna Road and contacted Nygard, the driver.
A record check showed Nygard to have a suspended driver’s license.
Nygard was taken into custody without incident.  A search of Nygard
revealed a syringe.  During conversations with Nygard, he said he was
holding the syringe which contains insulin for a friend.  Nygard was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.  The syringe will be forwarded to
the Department of Public Safety Crime Lab for analysis.

DRUGS FOR SALE/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Teresa Elane Mogensen, 44,
of Lake Havasu City, early Sunday (11/8) evening for possession of drugs
for sale, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug
paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 7:19 p.m., deputies conducted a
traffic stop on S. Palo Verde at Acoma.  While the vehicle was stopping,
deputies observed the driver making movements toward the floorboard.
Deputies contacted Mogensen, the driver, and had her exit the vehicle.
Deputies questioned Mogensen about her movements.  Mogensen advised that
she was putting on her seat belt and she said there is something in her
vehicle that isn’t hers.  Mogensen further advised that there is a
scale under the driver’s seat which she was holding for a friend.
Deputies located a black pouch which contained a digital silver scale
with crystalline residue and several small plastic bags under the seat.
Deputies further questioned Mogensen.  Deputies found Mogensen to be in
possession of three plastic bags containing a white crystal substance
which field tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed
approximately 2.75 grams.  Mogensen was taken into custody without
incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District III Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene. 

AGGRAVATED DUI – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James John Tromba, 43, of
Golden Valley, late Sunday (11/8) evening for aggravated DUI, felony.
Approximately 11:00 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3400
block of Northern Avenue and contacted Tromba, the driver.  During
conversations with Tromba, he said that he has a suspended license.  A
record check revealed Tromba to have a suspended driver’s license out
of Michigan for a prior DUI.  Deputies observed open containers of beer
inside the vehicle.  During conversations with Tromba, he admitted to
drinking two beers earlier.  Tromba was taken into custody and
transported to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office where the field
sobriety tests (FST’s) were conducted.  An analysis revealed
Tromba’s blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .182%.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.

MARIJUANA/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Andrew Gerrad Vega, 18, a
transient, early Monday (11/9) morning for possession of marijuana and
possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 1:35 a.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop on Aztec near Highway 95.  Deputies
contacted Vega, the sole occupant and driver, as identified by his
California identification card.  During conversations with Vega, he said
that he has a California driver’s permit which requires him to be
accompanied by a licensed California driver.  A search of the vehicle
revealed a plastic bag containing marijuana and rolling papers.  Vega
was taken into custody without incident.  Vega was transported and
booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.  The vehicle was
towed from the scene.  Vega was also cited for no valid license, no
mandatory insurance and failure to transfer title of vehicle ownership
within 15 days.



AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Thomas Joseph Mongeon, 51,
of Desert Hills, early Saturday (11/7) morning for aggravated assault on
law enforcement, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug
paraphernalia, felonies.  Late Friday (11/6) evening, at about 11:36
p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Huntington at Hurricane.
Deputies observed the front seated passenger appear to be putting items
in his mouth.  Deputies questioned the passenger identified as Mongeon.
Mongeon advised, in a muffled tone, that they were looking for a
friend’s house.  Deputies further observed a small plastic bag
inside Mongeon’s mouth.  Deputies requested Mongeon to exit the
vehicle and remove the items from his mouth.  Mongeon exited the vehicle
and refused to open his mouth.  Mongeon pulled away from deputies.
Mongeon struggled as deputies were taking him into custody.  A taser was
eventually used to place Mongeon into custody.  During the altercation,
Mongeon received minor scrapes and the deputy received minor injuries to
his knee.  Deputies located two small plastic bags with saliva and dirt
sticking to the bags on the ground where the altercation occurred.  The
plastic bags contained a white crystal substance which later field
tested positive for methamphetamine.  Lake Havasu Fire Department
personnel responded and treated Mongeon.  LHFD personnel advised Mongeon
had no reason medically to be transported to the hospital as he had
minor scrapes.  Because Mongeon requested to be taken to the hospital,
LHFD personnel transported him to Havasu Regional Medical Center.
Approximately 3:30 a.m., deputies took Mongeon into custody as he exited
the hospital.  During conversations with Mongeon, he said that he put
meth in his mouth so the deputy would not find it.  He was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation without
incident.

EXTREME DUI – DOLAN SPRINGS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gary Largo, 43, of Crown
Point, NM., Saturday (11/7) afternoon for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .08%, extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration
over .15% and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .20%,
misdemeanors.  At about 2:28 p.m., deputies responded to a convenience
store parking lot on Highway 93 at milepost 27 in reference to a single
vehicle accident.  Upon arrival, deputes observed a white 2002 GMC truck
facing a chain link fence located on the south side of the store.
Deputies further observed a male subject, later identified as Largo,
leaning on the truck.  Deputies contacted the reporting party, an
employee of the store.  The reporting party said the male subject was
driving the truck when the truck ran into the fence next to the store.
Deputies contacted Largo and observed Largo having difficulty standing
up and keeping his balance.  During conversations with Largo, he
admitted to driving the truck into the fence.  Deputies smelled an odor
of alcohol on Largo.  Further conversations with Largo, he admitted to
having been drinking. 
Largo declined to perform the field sobriety tests (FST’s) as he said
that he could not do them.  Lake Mohave Rancho Fire Department personnel
arrived and evaluated Largo.    LMRFD personnel determined Largo to be
medically okay.  Largo was taken into custody.  A search of Largo’s
vehicle revealed a bottle of whisky approximately 1/3 empty.  Largo was
transported to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office where an analysis
revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .213%.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.

EXTREME DUI – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Martin Ortiz, 50, of Lake
Havasu City, early Saturday (11/7) evening for DUI, DUI with a blood
alcohol concentration over .08%, extreme DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .15% and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .20%, misdemeanors.  Approximately 6:13 p.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop on Lake Havasu Avenue near Papago and
contacted Ortiz, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on
Ortiz.  During conversations with Ortiz, he admitted to drinking about a
12 pack.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Ortiz was taken
into custody and transported to the Mohave County District III
Substation where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration
(BAC) to be .210%.  He was booked into the jail without incident.  The
vehicle was towed from the scene.

ASSAULT – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Shawn Patrick Gillmore, 28,
of Lake Havasu City, late Saturday (11/7) evening for assault, a
misdemeanor. Approximately 12:13 p.m., deputies responded to an assault
call at a residence in the 2100 block of Tourmaline Drive and contacted
the 26-year-old female victim.  The victim reported that Gillmore, her
boyfriend, hit her three times in the face.  The victim further reported
that Gillmore left the scene.  Deputies observed the victims forehead to
be swollen and to have a large abrasion.  Medical responded and treated
the victim.  A short time later, deputies located Gillmore on Tourmaline
Drive at London Bridge Road.  During conversations with Gillmore, he
said his girlfriend attacked him.  Deputies observed Gillmore’s right
hand to be swollen and broken skin around a knuckle.  Deputies
questioned Gillmore about his swollen hand and he further said that he
punched her in the face.  Gillmore was taken into custody without
incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District
III Substation. 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Patricia Lee Lindsay, 29,
of Lake Havasu City, early Sunday (11/8) morning on an outstanding
warrant.  Approximately 2:35 a.m., deputies contacted Lindsay during a
traffic stop on Oro Grande at Marshall.  Deputies knew Lindsay to have
an active warrant.  A record check showed Lindsay to have a failure to
pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu Justice Court.
Lindsay was taken into custody without incident.  She was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

DRUGS/WARRANTS ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Alvin Ross Shook, 55, of
Kingman, early Sunday (11/8) morning for possession of narcotic drugs,
felony, and two felony warrants.  Approximately 3:56 a.m., deputies
contacted Shook as he was walking in the 3600 block of Martin Lane.  A
record check showed Shook to have a warrant for possession of dangerous
drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and a second warrant for
possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia, both
issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Shook was taken into custody without
incident.  A search of Shook revealed a small glass container containing
7 narcotic pills.   He was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail.

 Felony Warrant Arrest

On Saturday, November 7th, 2009, at 11:30 pm, Kingman Police Officers arrested local resident Nolan Gene Martin, 32, for a felony warrant from CaliforniaMartin was the passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic violation in the 2200 block of Hualapai Mountain Road.  After Martin was contacted a records check showed that the Department of Corrections in California, had a felony warrant for his arrest.  Martin was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

 
 
Monday, November 9, 2009    MOHAVE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPT NEWS
 
SEARCH AND RESCUE – WEST OF KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Units were deployed
Saturday (11/7) afternoon due to a woman getting disoriented and
stranded in the desert.  Dorothy McLaughlin, 80, of Topock, was self
reporting via a cellular telephone that she was traveling from Kingman
to Topock and her vehicle, a red Buick Riviera, had become stuck in a
ditch in the desert.  McLaughlin further reported that she left her
vehicle and was walking toward a highway.  Approximately 1:18 p.m., SAR
volunteers responded along with Kingman Air Rescue Ranger, Department of
Public Safety.  At about 2:30 p.m., Kingman Ranger spotted the vehicle
in a ditch off of the Griffith Road exit from the Interstate 40.
Shortly thereafter, Kingman Ranger landed as they located McLaughlin as
she was walking.  The onboard paramedic determined McLaughlin to be
okay.  McLaughlin was escorted in her vehicle back to the roadway where
she was followed home. 


7X’S BURGLARY – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Earl Vincent Edmondson and
Larry Earl Edmondson, both 13 and of Golden Valley, early Saturday
(11/7) afternoon.  Earl Edmondson and Larry Edmondson have each been
arrested on 7 counts of burglary 1st degree, possession of stolen
property, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, all felonies.
Approximately 8:54 a.m., deputies responded to a burglary report at a
residence in the 3300 block of Klagetoh Road and contacted the
60-year-old male victim.  The victim reported that his residence had
been broken into and a .22 caliber handgun along with a .22 caliber
rifle was taken.  Investigations lead deputies to contact Earl and Larry
Edmondson as possible suspects.  At about 1:40 p.m., deputies responded
to a residence in the 3500 block of Bibo Road which happened to be an
unreported burglary in progress.  As deputies approached the residence,
they observed two juveniles running east out of the house.  The
juveniles jumped a fence and ran north in an alley way where they were
both detained.  The juveniles ditched a 9mm handgun while they were
running which was later confiscated.  The juveniles were identified as
Earl and Larry Edmondson.  Both juveniles admitted to numerous
burglaries including the residence in the 3300 block of Klagetoh Road
and taking a .22 caliber handgun and a .22 caliber rifle.  Earl and
Larry Edmondson were taken into custody without incident.  Deputies
found them to be in possession of marijuana.  Further investigations led
deputies to a trailer in the 3000 block of Mazatzal Drive where Earl and
Larry Edmondson had broken into and had been staying for 2 days.
Numerous reported stolen items were located inside the trailer which
included Zippo style lighters, binoculars, coins, 4 knives, numerous
rifles, 1 pellet gun and 2 BB guns.  Earl and Larry Edmondson have been
connected to 9 burglaries in the northeast section of Golden Valley.
The first burglary was reported on Friday (10/30) and the latest
burglary was reported on Saturday (11/7).  Earl and Larry Edmondson were
transported and booked into the Mohave County Juvenile Detention Center.
 Investigation continues and further charges may be pending.

ACCIDENT – NORTHEAST OF KINGMAN  
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle injury
accident that occurred in the area of Antares Road and California Street
late Wednesday (11/4) morning.  Approximately 10:46 a.m. deputies
responded to the scene of a roll over accident where the driver, of a
2009 Kia Spectra, and passenger suffered injuries.  They were both
transported to Hualapai Mountain Hospital. The driver may have suffered
from a broken hand while the female passenger may have suffered a broken
toe.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.  The driver, identified as
Mylex Ong Nova, 37, of Pharr, Texas, was cited for speeding.

IDENTITY THEFT – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Everado Lugo Beltran, 36,
of Kingman, late Thursday (11/5) morning for taking identity of another,
felony, and failure to show identification, misdemeanor.  Approximately
11:32 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at N Bank Street at Devlin
Avenue and contacted the male driver.  Deputies asked for identification
and vehicle registration.  The male subject advised that he did not have
a driver’s license, but he provided a social security card identifying
himself as Juan Rodriguez.  A computer check showed the SSN was not
valid.  The male subject, later identified as Beltran, was taken into
custody without incident.  A search of the male subject’s wallet
revealed a Mexico driver’s license identifying himself as Beltran.  He
was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  The vehicle was
towed from the scene.  An Immigration investigation is pending with
Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – DOLAN SPRINGS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Bill J Hilderbrand, 42, and
Billy Jay Hilderbrand, 20, both of Dolan Springs, Thursday (11/5)
afternoon on aggravated assault per domestic violence, a felony.
Approximately 2:07 p.m., deputies responded to an assault report in the
14400 block of Mineral Road and contacted the 44-year-old male victim.
The victim reported that he and his mother went to the Hilderbrand’s
residence, west of their residence on the same property, to confront
Billy about stealing things.  The victim further reported that when they
arrived that Billy walked up to their vehicle and they began arguing.
The victim said the argument escalated when Billy picked up a large
metal bolt, about 16 inches in length and 3 inches in diameter, and
Billy started hitting him with it.  The victim further said that he got
out of the vehicle and was fighting with Billy when Billy’s father,
Bill, jumped on him and began hitting him.  The victim advised that he
was able to get back into the vehicle and his mother drove them back to
their residence.  Deputies observed the victim to have numerous
abrasions and lumps on the right side of his head.  The victim refused
medical attention.  Deputies contacted the victims’ mother and she
said that Billy grabbed a metal bolt and started hitting the victim.
Deputies responded to the Hilderbrand’s residence and contacted a
witness.  The witness said that the victim had Billy pinned down and
Bill began hitting the victim.  Deputies contacted Billy Hilderbrand.
During conversations with Billy, he said his uncle, the victim, has been
picking on him for years and he got fed-up and he hit him several times
with a metal bolt.  Deputies contacted Bill Hilderbrand.  During
conversations with Bill, he admitted to hitting the victim because the
victim had Billy pinned down and he was attempting to break the fight
up.  Bill Hilderbrand and Billy Hilderbrand were taken into custody
without incident.  A record check showed Billy Hilderbrand to have two
failure to appear misdemeanor warrants both issued by Kingman Justice
Court.  They were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Brian Ray Hester, 47, of
Kingman, late Thursday (11/5) afternoon on a felony warrant for
possession of drug paraphernalia issued by Kingman Justice Court.
Approximately 4:00 p.m., deputies contacted Hester in the 3100 block of
Northfield Avenue.  A record check showed Hester to have an outstanding
warrant.  Hester was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

WARRANTS ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gary Douglas Wood, 46, of
Bullhead City, early Friday (11/6) morning on an outstanding warrant.
Approximately 12:19 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area
of Highway 95 at Camp Mohave and contacted Wood, the driver.  A record
check showed Wood to have a failure to appear warrant issued by Bullhead
City Municipal Court and a failure to pay fines warrant issued by
Bullhead City Justice Court, both misdemeanors.  Wood was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District II Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

MARIJUANA/DUI – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Linda Sue Paregien, 59, of
Kingman, late Wednesday (11/4) afternoon for possession of marijuana,
felony, along with DUI and DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over
.08%, misdemeanors.  Approximately 4:00 p.m., deputies conducted a
traffic stop at milepost 26 on Highway 68 and contacted Paregien, the
driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Paregien.  During
conversations with Paregien, she admitted to have been drinking.
Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Paregien was taken into
custody and transported to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office where an
analysis revealed her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .132%.
She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without
incident.  A search of the vehicle revealed burnt marijuana cigarettes
located inside a metal cigarette tin container.  The vehicle was towed
from the scene.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Douglas Duane Petersen, 45,
of Fort Mohave, early Tuesday (11/3) morning for aggravated assault with
a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct with a weapon, felonies.
Approximately 1:04 a.m., deputies contacted a male subject during a
traffic stop in the area of La Entrada and Highway 95.  During
conversations with the male subject, deputies determined that he was a
victim of an incident that occurred earlier in the evening.  The
18-year-old male victim reported that he stopped by Petersen’s
residence earlier in the 4200 block of Palm Lane.  The victim further
reported that Petersen started screaming at him and pointed a gun at his
face.  At about 5:12 a.m., deputies made contact with Petersen in the
3700 block of Highway 95.  During conversations with Petersen, he
confirmed the victim was at his house earlier.  Further conversations
with Petersen, he said that he retrieved his gun from his vehicle, but
he never pointed the gun at the victim.
Petersen was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.  Deputies
confiscated the 9mm handgun.

THEFT – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Phillip John Rebai II, 27,
of Golden Valley, early Sunday (11/1) afternoon for possession of stolen
property, felony.  Approximately 12:17 p.m., deputies contacted Rebai at
a residence in the 500 block of Heber Road in regards to a stolen
motorcycle.  Deputies had prior contacts with Rebai regarding a
motorcycle.  At that time, Rebai was advised to provide the bill of sale
and title on the motorcycle in which he never produced.  Rebai was taken
into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail. 

FRAUD/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tim Arthur Riley, 47, of
Fort Mohave, Sunday (11/1) evening for possession of drug paraphernalia,
felony, and failure to show identification, misdemeanor.  Approximately
9:21 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Camp
Mohave and contacted the male subject.  The subject verbally identified
himself as a James Edward Riley.  During conversations with Riley, he
said that he left his driver’s license at home.  A computer check
showed the vehicle to have a suspended license plate for no mandatory
insurance.  A search of the vehicle revealed 6 syringes, a metal spoon
and a plastic bag containing 2 pieces of surgical tubing.  Deputies also
located a brown wallet in the trunk of the vehicle which had an Arizona
driver’s license for a Tim Riley.  Riley was taken into custody
without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.  Further
investigation determined the male subject purposely identified himself
as another person.  The male subject’s fingerprints identified him as
Tim Arthur Riley.  He was also charged with taking identity of another,
a felony.

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Elton J Tefft Jr., 37, of
Kingman, late Monday (11/2) morning for possession of dangerous drugs
and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 11:00
a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Thompson
Avenue and contacted Tefft.  A record check showed Tefft to have a
suspended driver’s license.  Tefft was taken into custody without
incident.  A search of the vehicle revealed a metal tin container that
contained a white crystal substance which field tested positive for
methamphetamine.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Keith Richard Wodarski, 23,
of Fort Mohave, early Monday (11/2) afternoon on a felony warrant issued
out of Detroit Michigan for armed robbery.  Deputies were contacted by
the U.S. Marshals Office in reference to attempting to locate a wanted
felon identified as Wodarski.  At about 2:00 p.m., Deputies and U.S.
Marshal Agents contacted Wodarski at a residence in the 1600 block of E.
Dunlap Road where he was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeffrey Thomas Rachunok,
36, of Lake Havasu City, early Tuesday (11/3) morning for possession of
drug paraphernalia, felony.  Approximately 2:03 a.m., deputies contacted
Rachunok during a traffic stop on McCulloch at Trotwood.  As deputies
approached the vehicle, they observed Rachunok attempting to hide
something as he was making a shoving motion with his hands.  Deputies
had Rachunok exit the vehicle.  Deputies observed a small black zipper
pouch located on the seat.  A search of the pouch revealed three
syringes, a metal spoon and a glass vile of water.  Rachunok was taken
into custody without incident.  During conversations with Rachunok, he
said the items were his.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation.

 Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Paraphernalia, Driving in violations of restrictions

On Sunday, November 1st, 2009, Kingman Police Officers arrested James Robert Payne, 24, of Kingman, for possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving in violations of restrictions.  On this date at 8:00 pm, a Kingman patrol Officer was in the 2100 block of Fort Beale Road, when he observed a vehicle traveling at a speed faster than the posted speed limit.  The officer attempted to stop the vehicle which had turned onto Red Ghost Canyon Road in an attempt to avoid the officer.  The vehicle finally pulled over and the driver identified himself as James Payne of Kingman.  It was advised that Payne was supposed to have a inter-lock device on his vehicle.  No device was observed in the vehicle and when Payne was taken into custody for the violation he was found to be in possession of a narcotic, and drug paraphernalia.  Payne was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON – DOLAN SPRINGS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Melinda Gail Cicero, 49, of
Dolan Springs, Friday (10/30) evening for aggravated assault with a
deadly weapon and three counts of disorderly conduct with a weapon,
felonies.  Approximately 9:55 p.m., deputies responded to a weapons
offense call in the 16400 block of Pierce Ferry Road.  Upon arrival,
deputies observed a female subject, later identified as Cicero,
staggering toward them and screaming here’s the gun.  Cicero dropped
the gun as deputies were giving her orders.  Deputies contacted Cicero
and observed her to be extremely intoxicated as she advised that she
shot at an acquaintance.  Deputies immediately recovered the .357 Magnum
revolver and detained Cicero.  Deputies contacted a victim, a
33-year-old male.  The victim said that he was inside a residence with
two other people when someone knocked on the door and the door flew open
real fast with Cicero yelling at him while she was waving a gun.  The
victim said that he knocked the gun away from Cicero as she was pointing
the gun at him and at that time the gun went off.  The victim reported
that he took Cicero to the ground and took the gun away from her.  The
victim advised that his girlfriend unloaded the gun and he eventually
gave Cicero the gun back unloaded.  Lake Mohave Rancho Fire Department
personnel responded as Cicero was complaining about injuries she
sustained during the altercation with the victim.  Cicero was
transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center as she requested.  Cicero
was checked and medically released from the hospital.  Cicero was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

WANTED SUSPECT ARRESTED IN CALIFORNIA
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives were notified on Tuesday, October
27th, by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office that a wanted
felon out of Mohave County was taken into custody.  Bennie Bernard
Masters, 30, of Kingman, was wanted on an attempted murder incident that
occurred on May 15, 2009, where he stabbed a 51-year-old male victim as
the victim was riding a bicycle in area of Quail Lane and Eagle Drive in
Kingman.  Masters was extradited from California on Friday (10/30) where
he was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without
incident.  Masters was arrested on a felony warrant issued by Kingman
Justice Court for attempted murder and aggravated assault with a deadly
weapon. 

DUI – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeffery Allan Thomas, 23,
of Lake Havasu City, early Saturday (10/31) morning for DUI and DUI with
a blood alcohol concentration over .08%, misdemeanors.  Approximately
1:55 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Daytona at Eastwind and
contacted Thomas, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on
Thomas.  During conversations with Thomas, he admitted to have been
drinking.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Thomas was
taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District III
Substation where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration
(BAC) to be .081%.  He was booked into the jail without incident. 



SEARCH AND RESCUE – ARIZONA STRIP
Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Units responded Sunday
(11/1) morning to two missing hunters.  The reporting party said that
her husband and a friend were overdue from a hunting trip.  Gayle Moots,
72, and Carl Cleveland, 68, both of Las Vegas, Nevada, had gone to the
Arizona Strip to go quail hunting with no known location.  Approximately
6:00 a.m., a Search and Rescue Air Unit searched the Arizona Strip while
SAR personnel continued their investigation in an attempt to narrow the
search area.  Information was developed that the subjects may be in the
Gold Butte area of Nevada or the Pakoon Basin of the Arizona Strip.
While SAR Volunteer ground units were enroute to Pakoon Basin, a Bureau
of Land Management Employee located the missing subjects walking on a
road in the area of North Pakoon Basin.  Both subjects were in good
condition and they were transported to Mesquite, Nevada. 

Search and Rescue personnel would like to stress the importance of
clear communication between family and friends regarding travel plans
including location and return date. 


DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joseph Wesley Smith, 26, of
Golden Valley, Friday (10/30) morning for disrupting educational
institution, felony, along with reckless driving per domestic violence
and threatening and intimidating per domestic violence, misdemeanors.
Approximately 8:45 a.m., deputies responded to an assault report at a
school located in the 3400 block of Santa Maria Road.  Upon arrival,
deputies contacted a 35-year-old female victim.  The victim advised that
while she was driving her child to school that Smith, her former
boyfriend, was chasing her in her vehicle and driving erratically.  The
victim reported that she avoided a collision when Smith tried to run
into her vehicle.  The victim further reported that Smith chased her
through the school’s parking lot while his vehicle’s tires were
spinning and skidding.  Deputies contacted a witness.  The witness
reported that a blue passenger vehicle was being chased by a Chevy truck
in the school’s parking lot.  Deputies contacted Smith at a residence
in the 7200 block of Highway 68.  During conversations with Smith, he
admitted to chasing a vehicle as he wanted them to stop and at one point
he tried to stop their vehicle by going head on with it.  Further
conversations with Smith, he admitted to speeding and spinning his tires
in the school’s parking lot while he chased the vehicle.  Smith was
taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into
the Mohave County Jail. 

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT/WARRANT ARREST – DOLAN SPRINGS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies Eddie Medrano, 34, of Las Vegas,
Nevada, early Friday (10/30) evening.  Approximately 6:06 p.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop on Pierce Ferry Road at milepost 6.  Deputies
contacted the driver identified as Agustin Enrique Quinones, 42, of Las
Vegas, and a passenger identified as Medrano.  Deputies determined both
subjects to be illegal immigrants with the assistance of Immigration and
Customs Enforcement.  A record check showed Medrano to have a fugitive
from justice felony warrant issued out of California on a sex offense
charge.  Medrano and Quinones were taken into custody without incident.
Both subjects were transported to the Mohave County Jail.  Medrano was
booked into the jail.  Quinones was later taken into custody by ICE.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ellen Kraus, 50, of Lake
Havasu City, late Friday (10/30) evening on a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu Justice Court.  Approximately
11:53 p.m., deputies contacted Kraus as she was riding a bicycle in the
area of Sweetgrass Drive and McCulloch Boulevard.  A record check showed
Kraus to have an outstanding warrant.  Kraus was taken into custody
without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District III Substation.
