MARIJUANA/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Melissa Elizabeth Johnson, 25, of Kingman, Tuesday (3/30) afternoon for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, along with driving with suspended license, misdemeanor, and numerous warrants.  Approximately 1:30 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3800 block of Raymond Avenue and contacted Johnson, the driver.  A record check showed Johnson to have a suspended driver’s license and the following five misdemeanor warrants; shoplifting, failure to appear and two failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice Court and a probation violation issued by Kingman Municipal Court.  Johnson was taken into custody without incident.  Deputies found Johnson to be in possession of marijuana located inside a plastic bag.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

WARRANT ARREST – BEAVER DAM (AZ STRIP)    

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Johnny R Valdovinos, 20, of Beaver Dam, late Monday (3/29) morning on a probation violation felony warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court and a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Moccasin Justice Court.  Deputies learned of the whereabouts of a wanted felon identified as Valdovinos.  At about 11:50 a.m., deputies and two officers from Mohave County GIITEM (Gang & Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission) contacted Valdovinos at a residence in the 3200 block of Kingman Street where he was taken into custody without incident.  Valdovinos was transported and booked into the Mesquite Jail. 

 

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT – DOLAN SPRINGS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Alonzo Ponce Andres, 27, of Dolan Springs, Saturday (3/27) afternoon.  Approximately 3:15 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Pierce Ferry Road at Mesquite.  The driver identified himself as Andres with a Mexico identification card.  With the assistance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Andres was determined to be an illegal immigrant.  Andres was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported to Mohave County Jail where ICE later took him into custody.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS – GOLDEN VALLEY   

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 11 illegal immigrants early Saturday (3/27) evening.  At about 7:00 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at Aztec Road and Highway 68.  Deputies contacted 11 occupants inside the 2002 Dodge Van.  With the assistance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement they were determined to be illegal immigrants.  They were taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Jail where ICE later took them into custody.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

INJURY ACCIDENT – KINGMAN   

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle injury accident that occurred on Hualapai Mountain Road at milepost 5 on Friday (3/26) morning.  Approximately 9:32 a.m. deputies responded to the scene of a single vehicle rollover accident.  The driver identified as Darlene Sexauer, 64, of Kingman, was the only occupant in the vehicle.   She was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center with possible broken ribs.  Investigations determined the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

ANIMAL ABUSE        

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies were contacted by a citizen to do a welfare check at a residence in the 3500 block of Flint Road in Golden Valley Thursday (3/25) morning.  Upon initial contact at that residence it was determined that further investigation was needed in which a search warrant was written to allow deputies and animal control officers onto the property to determine the health and welfare of the many animals.

 

The search warrant was executed Thursday (3/25) afternoon at Vernon Victor Williams, 70, residence.  It was determined that there were 31 dogs on the property with different degrees of diminishing health.  Williams relinquished ownership of 27 of the 31 dogs.  At that time, animal control officers transported the 27 dogs to the Western Arizona Human Society where it was determined that all 27 dogs were unable to be saved.  A decision was made that the dogs were in such poor medical condition and nothing more could be done than to euthanize them. 

 

Williams was arrested on 4 counts of animal cruelty and a zoning violation, misdemeanors.  Williams was taken into custody, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.

 

“The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and Western Arizona Human Society remains committed to stop this type of abuse from occurring,” Chief Deputy Jim McCabe said. 

 

 

2X’S AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Steven John Roske, 54, of Fort Mohave, Monday (3/29) afternoon on two counts of aggravated assault on minor, felonies.  Approximately 2:47 p.m., deputies responded to an attempted child abduction in the area of the 2500 block of East Morgan Road.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting party.  The reporting party said that two little girls came to her house screaming about a guy trying to grab them.  Deputies observed two young girls crying with tears running down their faces.  Deputies learned the girls were not injured and they were sisters, ages 7 and 10.  Deputies contacted the victims.  The victims said that they got off the school bus and they were walking home when an old man was walking towards them.  The victims further said that the man started walking faster with his hands in front of him as if he was going to grab them.  The 10-year-old victim said that he lunged toward them and he tried to grab them while he called them profanities.  The 10-year-old victim further said that she grabbed her sisters’ hand and they ran to a house to get help.  Both victims said that they recognized the man from the neighborhood as he is always walking around.  Deputies were contacted by many citizens in the area and they said the man often yells obscenities as passing cars.  Deputies were advised of where the man lives.  Deputies contacted the male subject identified as Roske at a residence in the 2500 block of East Kimberly Drive.  During conversations with Roske, he admitted to being in the area of Kimberly and Lynda earlier. Roske was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

 

BURGLARY/FRAUD  MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Sidney Paul Iley, 20, of Lake Havasu City, early Saturday (3/27) morning for burglary, taking identity of another and two probation violation warrants issued by Mohave County Superior Court, all felonies.  Approximately 3:35 a.m., deputies responded to the 2000 block of Regents Road regarding a male subject attempting to gain entry into a residence.  Dispatch advised that a male subject wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt was on the victims’ property and he was trying to gain entry into the house by turning the doorknobs.  Upon arrival, deputies observed a male subject wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes walking on the driveway from the residence.  Deputies immediately ordered the male subject to the ground where he was detained.  The male subject refused to identify himself.  Deputies questioned the male subject and he said that he was going home.  Deputies contacted two female victims inside the residence.  One of the victims said that the male subject rang the door bell and he began turning the door knob on her security door.  The male subject, later identified as Iley, was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation without incident.   During the booking process the male subject identified himself as another person.  Eventually deputies learned the male subject’s identity.  A record check showed Iley to have outstanding warrants.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/THREATENING  FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tyrone Wes Hollister, 42, of Fort Mohave, Saturday (3/27) afternoon for aggravated assault on minor and threatening-intimidating, felonies.  Approximately 2:10 p.m., deputies responded to a report of harassment at a residence in the 4400 block of Calle Del Media.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting party.  The reporting party said that a man at his next door neighbor’s house continually sprayed them with a water hose and he refused to quit.  The reporting party further said that he asked the man several times to quit, but he continued to do so and smiled.  The reporting party reported that the man sprayed his two year old son and his son started crying.  The reporting party advised that the man kept spraying water at them while he laughed.  Deputies contacted the man, later identified as Hollister, at the neighbor’s residence.  During conversations with Hollister, he admitted to spraying the neighbors with a water hose and recalls the neighbors wanting him to stop.  Deputies informed Hollister that was assault.  Hollister responded by raising his left hand and making a fist.  Deputies took Hollister into custody.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation without incident. 

 

AGGRAVATED DUI – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gustavo Sanchez, 19, of Peach Springs, Saturday (3/27) evening for aggravated DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 10:15 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 66 at milepost 72 and contacted Sanchez, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Sanchez.  During conversations with Sanchez, he said that he did not consume any alcohol.  A record check revealed Sanchez to have a suspended driver’s license.  Sanchez advised that there is a crack pipe inside the vehicle and it does not belong to him.  Deputies confiscated the glass pipe with burnt white residue from inside the vehicle.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Sanchez was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .017%.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

MARIJUANA – NORTH OF LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James S Mendoza, 18, of Kingman, early Monday (3/29) morning for possession of marijuana, felony.  Approximately 3:19 a.m., deputies responded to a convenience store/truck stop in the 14700 block of Highway 95 in reference to a male subject loitering and offering an employee to smoke marijuana.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted employees and the employees pointed to the male subject sitting inside the business.  Deputies contacted the male subject identified as Mendoza.  During conversations with Mendoza, he said that he was waiting for friends to pick him up.  Deputies found Mendoza to be in possession of marijuana.  Mendoza was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

EXTREME DUI – BULLHEAD CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeremy Lawrence Hughes, 33, of Fort Mohave, early Sunday (3/28) morning for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08% and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15% and less than 20%, misdemeanors.  Approximately 12:15 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Adobe Road and Desert Sky Boulevard regarding a male subject passed out in a vehicle.  As deputies approached the area, they heard screeching tires behind them and observed a vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the roadway on Bullhead Parkway.  Deputies further observed the vehicle almost collide head-on with another vehicle.  Deputies pulled their vehicle behind the offending vehicle.  The vehicle continued to travel approximately 150 feet at 15 miles per hour and came to a stop near Adobe Road.   Deputies observed the driver exit the vehicle and almost fall to the ground.  Deputies contacted the driver identified as Hughes.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol from inside the vehicle.  During conversations with Hughes, he admitted to have been drinking.  Hughes was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District II Substation where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .195%.  He was booked into the jail without incident.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN SHORES

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Charles Garrett, 38, of Topock, early Saturday (3/27) morning on a parole violation felony warrant issued out of Arizona Department of Corrections.  Approximately 1:36 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Powell Lake Road near Cochise Road and contacted Garrett, the driver.  A record check showed Garrett to have an outstanding warrant.  Garrett was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

 

OPERATING UNDER THE INFLUENCE – LAKE HAVASU

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Thomas Adam Vanort, 25, of Scottsdale, early Saturday (3/27) afternoon for OUI and  OUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08%, misdemeanors.  Approximately 12:15 p.m., deputies observed a watercraft traveling southbound in Thompson Bay with an excessive wake.  Deputies conducted a traffic stop and contacted Vanort, the operator.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Vanort.  During conversations with Vanort, he admitted to have been drinking.  Vanort was taken into custody and transported to Contact Point where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .113%.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation without incident. 

 

AGGRAVATED DUI – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kevin James Kilker, 31, of California, Saturday (3/27) evening for aggravated DUI, a felony.  Approximately 7:57 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at milepost 197 and contacted Kilker, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Kilker.  During conversations with Kilker, he admitted to having two beers earlier.

Deputies observed two adult passengers and two minors; 10 years old and 6 years old.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Kilker was taken into custody.  Lake Havasu Police Department Officers responded and assisted.  Kilker struggled while he was being taken into custody.  He received a minor scratch on his forehead.  Kilker was transported to the Mohave County District III Substation where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .149%.  He was booked into the jail without incident. 

 

THEFT – NORTH OF LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Emilio Leon Acosta, 50, of Miami, Florida, Friday (3/26) afternoon for theft – obtaining service without paying, felony.  Approximately 1:00 p.m., deputies responded to a theft report of fuel at a truck stop located in the 14700 block of Highway 95.  Dispatch advised that two semi-trucks left the business without paying for the gasoline and the trucks were traveling eastbound on Interstate 40.  An ATL (Attempt to Locate) was issued to area law enforcement.  A short time later, deputies located one of the semi-trucks in Yucca on Interstate 40 and conducted a traffic stop.  The semi-truck was escorted back to the truck stop.  The driver of the truck was identified as Acosta.  Investigations determined that over 1,000 gallons of fuel was stolen.  Deputies observed the gas pump station which Acosta used was damaged.  Acosta was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.   

 

AGGRAVATED DUI – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Laura M Skelly, 32, of Golden Valley, Friday (3/26) evening for aggravated DUI, felony, and open liquor container in vehicle, misdemeanor.  At about 9:30 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle driving erratically in the area of Maverick Road and Chino Drive.  Deputies followed the vehicle as the vehicle turned into a driveway in the 5300 block of Chino Drive.  As the deputy was exiting his patrol unit, he observed a female driver exit the vehicle and she was swaying as she walked toward him.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Skelly.  During conversations with Skelly, she admitted to having one beer earlier.  Deputies observed a small child in the vehicle.  Further conversations with Skelly, she said the child is her 4-year-old daughter.  Deputies observed a clear bottle containing an alcoholic beverage.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Skelly was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office where an analysis revealed her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .101%.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.  The child was released to a relative.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David Leander Hickle, 23, of Kingman, early Friday (3/26) afternoon on a felony warrant for drug paraphernalia violation issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Approximately 1:08 p.m., deputies contacted a male subject in the 2800 block of E Packard Avenue.  The male subject was identified as Hickle.  A record check showed Hickle to have an outstanding warrant.  Hickle was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Felony Warrant

On Thursday, March 25, 2010, Kingman Police Officers arrested Golden Valley resident Mitchell Benny Dunkel, 21, for a felony warrant. Officers contacted Dunkel in the 1900 block of Motor Avenue around 6:45 pm.  Officers conducted a wants and warrants check and Dunkel was found to have a felony warrant for Contempt of Court in Mohave CountyDunkel was booked into the jail.

DUI – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew Edward Lawson, 23, of Kingman on Friday (3/26) morning for Aggravated DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 1:00 am, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Sierra Vista Avenue and Stockton Hill Road.  Deputies contacted the driver, identified as Lawson.  While deputies spoke with Lawson, it appeared he was intoxicated.  A record check showed Lawson to have a suspended driver’s license for a prior DUI.  Following field sobriety tests (FST’s), Lawson was taken into custody without incident.  A search revealed Lawson to be in possession of a pipe with burnt marijuana residue.  Prior to the vehicle being towed from the scene, deputies located a plastic container with marijuana inside.  Lawson admitted to smoking the marijuana a couple hours prior.  Lawson was transported to the Mohave County Jail where he an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .195%.  Lawson was booked into the jail without incident. 

 

DRUGS – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Orrin Lee Anderson, 43, of Phoenix for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies and for driving on a suspended driver’s license, a misdemeanor.  Deputies also arrested Jason Allen Ayers, 40, of Lake Havasu City for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony.  On Friday (3/26) morning, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 66 at milepost 3.  Deputies contacted the driver, identified as Anderson.  A record check showed Anderson to have a suspended driver’s license.  Anderson was taken into custody without incident.  A search revealed Anderson to be in possession of prescription pills which he admitted did not belong to him, marijuana and a glass pipe.  Deputies contacted the passenger, identified as Ayers.  Deputies observed a glass pipe near the passenger side door.  Ayers initially denied knowledge of the pipe, later admitting it belonged to him.  Ayers was taken into custody without incident.  Both Anderson and Ayers were transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station. 

 

WARRANT ARRESTS – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher William Guthrie, 26 and Tasha Luann Nixon, 19, both of Golden Valley on Monday (3/22) for outstanding felony warrants.  Approximately 10:30 am, deputies responded to a residence in the 7300 block of Shinarump Drive and contacted Guthrie and Nixon.  Record checks showed both Guthrie and Nixon to have felony fugitive from justice warrants issued out of Alabama.  Guthrie and Nixon were taken into custody without incident.  Guthrie and Nixon were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

 

VIOLATION OF COURT ORDER – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Cynthia Rose Desilets, 55, of Kingman on Thursday (3/25) evening for failure to comply with a court order, a misdemeanor.  Approximately 5:30 pm, deputies contacted Desilets at a residence in the 2000 block of Pasadena Avenue regarding her violating an injunction prohibiting harassment.  Desilets became belligerent and attempted to pull away from deputies.  Desilets was taken into custody without further incident.  Desilets was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Romulo Cardona, 55, of Kingman, early Wednesday (3/24) evening on an outstanding warrant.  Approximately 6:38 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 2800 block of Hearne Avenue.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted Cardona.  A record check showed Cardona to have failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court.  Cardona was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

 

VANDALISM – KINGMAN    

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of criminal damage at the Mohave County Jail on Monday (3/22).  At about 8:40 p.m., deputies contacted Detention Officers.  The Detention Officer reported that inmate Timothy James Wyant, 19, of Kingman, broke a window on a door of a cell.  Deputies contacted Wyant.  During conversations with Wyant, he said that he did not break the window.  Wyant was charged with jail destruction/injury to jail, a felony. 

 

INJURY ACCIDENT – GOLDEN VALLEY  

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle injury accident that occurred at Shinarump Drive and Apache Road early Saturday (3/20) morning.  Approximately 2:23 a.m. deputies responded to the scene of an accident where a Maroon in color Cadillac rolled and the driver and only occupant was ejected from the vehicle.  Upon arrival, deputies observed Golden Valley Fire Department personnel attending to the driver identified as Jack Huffman Jr., 28, of Banning, California.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Huffman.  Huffman was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  Investigations thus far have determined the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve.  A blood sample was taken from Huffman to be submitted to the DPS Crime Lab for further analysis.  This accident remains active pending lab results.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

MAGNET EXECUTES SEARCH WARRANT – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET) detectives served a search warrant in the 500 block of Horn Road Sunday (3/21) morning. 

The search revealed an active marijuana grow operation in progress where part of the garage had been converted into a grow room.  The area was equipped with lighting and a water system with timers.  89 marijuana plants were seized.

 This case remains under investigation and charges are pending.

 

THEFT – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Rita Ann Delre, 28, of Needles, Calif., late Tuesday (3/23) afternoon for shoplifting, a felony.  Approximately 4:15 p.m., deputies responded to a shoplifting report at a grocery store located in the 4800 block of Highway 95.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted the store’s Loss Prevention Officer.  The LPO said that he detained a female identified as Delre after she walked out of the store without paying for items.  The LPO reported that Delre put over $300 worth of cosmetics into a gift bag and walked outside.  Deputies contacted Delre and took her into custody without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

 

MARIJUANA/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BULLHEAD CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Johnny August Rightnar, 31, of Bullhead City, Tuesday (3/23) evening for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, and a contempt of court misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.  Approximately 8:15 p.m., deputies contacted Rightnar in the 1500 block of Grandview Drive regarding his outstanding warrant.  Rightnar was taken into custody without incident.  A search of Rightnar revealed marijuana located inside a round plastic container and a pipe with burnt residue.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

 

MARIJUANA/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Eric Jason Bossert, 25, of Fort Mohave, late Tuesday (3/23) evening for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Deputies observed a pick-up truck traveling approximately 80 miles per hour in a posted 45 mph zone.  Deputies turned their vehicle around and began to catch up with the vehicle.  Deputies further observed the pick-up truck abruptly cutoff a vehicle at the intersection of Highway 95 and Camp Mohave Road.  Approximately 11:45 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4500 block of Highway 95 and contacted Bossert, the driver.  Bossert was taken into custody without incident.  A search of the vehicle revealed a plastic bag containing approximately 2 grams of marijuana and a glass pipe with burnt residue, both items located in the center console.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

THEFT OF MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Anthony Topete, 21, of Kingman, early Monday (3/22) evening for theft of means of transportation, felony.  While deputies were patrolling the area of Norrie Drive and Devlin Avenue, they observed a green quad with two subjects riding the quad without a license plate.  Approximately 5:08 p.m., deputies followed the quad and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the quad continued traveling without stopping.  Deputies followed the quad as they traveled into a trailer park in the 3500 block of John L Avenue.  The quad stopped next to a block wall where the subjects got off the quad and jumped the wall.  A male subject, later identified as Topete, was driving the quad with a female passenger.  Deputies followed the subjects on foot and eventually apprehended Topete in the 3500 block of Neal Avenue.  Topete was taken into custody without incident.  A search of Topete revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance.  A computer check on the VIN showed the quad to have been reported stolen on Thursday (3/18).  During conversations with Topete, he said that he borrowed the quad from a friend.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  The owner responded and recovered his 2006 Suzuki Quad.  More charges may be pending the results of the DPS Crime Lab regarding the white crystalline substance.

 


 

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Terry Dean McGee, 41, of Bullhead City, late Monday (3/22) afternoon on a failure to appear misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court.  Approximately 4:38 p.m., deputies were dispatched behind a business in the 4800 block of Highway 95 in reference to a male subject lying down in the back parking lot.   Upon arrival, deputies contacted the male subject identified as McGee.  During conversations with McGee, he said that he was fine and he just wanted to rest.  Deputies observed McGee to be intoxicated with blood shot watery eyes and a strong odor of alcohol emitting from him.  Fort Mohave Fire Department personnel responded.  McGee refused medical treatment.  A record check showed McGee to have an outstanding warrant.  McGee was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

 

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – DESERT HILLS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Krissy Michelle Thompson, 25, of Lake Havasu City, late Monday (3/22) evening for disorderly conduct per domestic violence, a misdemeanor.  As deputies were patrolling the Crystal Beach area, they pulled into a trailer park in the 1100 block of Riverside Drive.  At about 5:00 p.m. a resident of the park flagged down the deputy.   Deputies were advised that a female subject, later identified as Thompson, was involved in a verbal argument with a male subject at the park.  Deputies were further advised that the female subject left driving a white Ford Mustang with her young child.  Deputies contacted the male subject.  The male subject said that Thompson was being irrational and yelling as she was leaving with their 5 month old child and he was concerned for the safety of their child.  Approximately 11:45 p.m., deputies located Thompson at a residence in the 3300 block of London Bridge Road.  Thompson was taken into custody without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – CEDAR HILLS (WEST OF KINGMAN)

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Milton James Raschen, 65, of Peach Springs, early Sunday (3/21) evening for aggravated assault, felony.  Approximately 3:15 p.m., deputies responded to a truck stop in the 900 block of Blake Ranch Road in regards to a disturbance.  While enroute, dispatch advised that a physical altercation between two people had occurred.  Upon arrival, deputies learned that one of the subjects, identified as Raschen, had left the scene.  Deputies contacted the second subject, a 45-year-old male victim.  Investigations determined that Raschen was being rude and yelling profanities at the victims’ family.  The victim attempted to defuse the situation, but Raschen became combative towards him.  The victim got injured during the altercation.   The victim was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center and he was later airlifted to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas.  At about 5:30 p.m., deputies contacted Raschen at a residence in the 12000 block of Highway 66.  Raschen was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

 

VANDALISM – KINGMAN    

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at the Mohave County Juvenile Detention Center Sunday (3/21) due to a criminal damage report.   At about 5:30 p.m., the Officer reported that inmate Tiffany Nichole Shields, 16, of Kingman, damaged a sprinkler head cover inside a holding cell.  Deputies contacted Shields and charged her with jail destruction/injury to jail, a felony. 

 

INJURY ACCIDENT – CEDAR HILLS (WEST OF KINGMAN)

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an injury accident involving a quad in a wash behind a truck stop located in the area of 900 block of Blake Ranch Road early Sunday (3/21) evening.  At about 6:37 p.m. deputies responded to the scene of where a male driver of an ATV was injured when his quad flipped and rolled onto him after he was traveling through a wash and hit a boulder.  The driver, Larry Duval, 55, of Cedar Hills, was airlifted by Kingman Ranger, Arizona Department of Public Safety, to Kingman Regional Medical Center with possible broken bones.

3X’S DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Isac Tucker, 76, of Fort Mohave, Saturday (3/20) evening for aggravated assault per domestic violence, endangerment per domestic violence and criminal damage per domestic violence, felonies.  Approximately 9:04 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 4400 block of Cindy Road and contacted the 75-year-old female victim.  The victim said that as she pulled into her driveway, Tucker, her husband, stepped out of the house holding a hammer.  The victim reported that Tucker began hitting the windshield of the car with the hammer while the glass from the windshield started falling onto her as she sat in the vehicle.  The victim further reported that Tucker dropped the hammer and picked up a shovel and began hitting the windshield with the shovel.  The victim said she ran to a neighbor’s house after she exited the vehicle.  Deputies observed a damaged vehicle parked in the victim’s driveway.  Numerous times, deputies attempted to make contact with Tucker, but he would not respond to the door or telephone.  Eventually, deputies made entry into the residence and detained Tucker.  As Tucker was being placed into the patrol unit, he said is this about the hammer and window, what is that illegal in this state now.  Tucker was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation without incident.   

 

MARIJUANA/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lauren Marie Gesse, 52, of Bullhead City, early Sunday (3/21) morning for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 1:00 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 8800 block of Highway 95 and contacted Gesse, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.  Gesse advised where the marijujana was located.  Deputies located marijuana inside a metal container on the rear floorboard of the vehicle.  Gesse was taken into custody without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/BURGLARY – DOLAN SPRINGS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David Gerald Peasley, 51, of Dolan Springs, Saturday (3/20) afternoon for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and burglary, felonies.  Approximately 2:28 p.m., deputies responded to the 8800 block of 6th Street in regards to an assault that occurred in the 17700 block of Ladera Drive at about 2:00 p.m.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted a 55-year-old female victim.  The victim said that she drove to her friends’ house in the 17700 block of Ladera Drive, where she was assaulted by Peasley, the property owner.  The victim reported that Peasley opened up her car door and grabbed her around her throat.  The victim further reported that Peasley pulled out a knife and threaten to cut her throat.  A short time later, deputies contacted Peasley in a field, south of 18th Street between Ladera and Lariat.  During conversations with Peasley, he said they got into an argument and he never touched the victim.  Peasley was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

 

DRUGS/SUSPENDED LICENSE – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael J Johansen, 33, of Kingman, late Sunday (3/21) afternoon for possession of dangerous drugs, felony, and driving with suspended license, misdemeanor.  Approximately 4:40 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on Northern Avenue at Benton Road and contacted Johansen, the driver.  A record check showed Johansen’s driver’s license to be suspended.  Johansen was taken into custody without incident.  A search of Johansen revealed a folded piece of paper containing a powder substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine.  The paper was located in Johansen left rear pocket of his pants.  During conversations with Johansen, he said that he was in a hurry when he put the pants on and the pants were not his.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

JET SKI ACCIDENT – LAKE HAVASU CITY         

Mohave County Sheriff’s Waterways deputies responded to a Jet Ski accident on Lake Havasu South of Pilot Rock late Sunday (3/21) afternoon.  Approximately 4:09 p.m., deputies responded to the scene of where two Jet Ski’s collided with one another.  Only occupants on the Jet Ski’s were the operators are they are friends from Las Vegas, Nevada.  Apparently, both operators were jumping wakes in the area of Pilot Rock when the collision occurred.  Ryan Dale, 27, suffered non-life threatening injuries.  Dale was transported to Lake Havasu Regional Hospital by Lake Havasu City Fire Department.  Alcohol is not a factor and both operators will be cited for reckless operation. 

 

FATAL ACCIDENT – GOLDEN VALLEY         

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle fatal accident on Shinarump Drive, west of Oatman Road, late Saturday (3/20) morning.  At about 11:33 a.m., deputies responded to an accident where the driver was ejected from a white 2009 Toyota passenger vehicle after the vehicle rolled.   Golden Valley Fire Department personnel responded.   Robert Arthur Friedman, 79, of Lake Havasu City, was pronounced dead at the scene.

AGGRAVATED DUI – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dustin Shane Barnes, 20, of Mohave Valley, early Thursday (3/18) evening for aggravated DUI with minor under 15 years of age, a felony.  Approximately 6:52 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Mountain View and Crater Lake.  Deputies contacted Barnes, the driver, and smelled an odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle.  During conversations with Barnes, he admitted to have been drinking.  Deputies observed a young child in the vehicle, later determined to be Barnes brother.  Deputies had Barnes exit the vehicle.  Deputies observed Barnes stumble while he walked.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Barnes was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District II Substation where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .204%.  He was booked into the jail without incident. The minor was released to a relative.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Internal Investigation

 On March 2, 2010 the Kingman Police Department received information regarding the possible mis-conduct of staff members. As a result, the Kingman Police Department Professional Standards Division with the assistance of the Bullhead City Police Department immediately initiated an investigation.

Bullhead City Police Department completed their portion of the investigation on March 12, 2010. Based upon the outcome, Captain Raymond Keith Sipe, a 24-year veteran and Roy Michael Kingsbury a 4-year veteran were terminated from their employment status based upon policy violations.

A third member of the Kingman Police Department remains on paid administrative leave pending the conclusion of that portion of the investigation.

 Additional details surrounding the investigation and specific policy violations will not be released until all those members involved have received their due process rights of appeal.

ALCOHOL OFFENSE – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested six females on Wednesday (3/17) afternoon for minor consumption, misdemeanors.  Approximately 2:00 pm, deputies observed a boat with too many passengers in the area of Thompson Bay.  Deputies contacted the passengers on the boat and while transporting the six females to shore, deputies smelled an odor of alcohol.  Each female was tested and showed the following results:

 

Erin Amber Becker, 18, of Peoria, AZ with a BAC of .030%

Allison Brittany Biskup, 19, of Scottsdale, AZ with a BAC of .110%

Cami Louise Samuels, 19, of Tempe, AZ with a BAC of .105%

Shelby Taylor Smith, 18, of Tempe, AZ with a BAC of .040%

Courtney Anne Spice, 18, of Mesa, AZ with a BAC of .095%

Amanda Elizabeth Wooton, 18, of Enumclaw, WA with a BAC of .065%

 

All six females were transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Sub-station without incident.

 

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Richard Comstock, 28, of Kingman on Wednesday (3/17) for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.  Approximately 5:00 pm, deputies contacted Comstock at a residence in the 3600 block of Neal Avenue.  A record check showed Comstock to have a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Municipal Court.  Comstock was taken into custody without incident.  Comstock was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

 

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Lee Couch, 19, of Bullhead City on Wednesday (3/17) evening for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.  Approximately 9:30 pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 95 at milepost 232.  Deputies contacted the passenger, identified as Couch.  A record check showed Couch to have a warrant for failure to appear issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court.  Couch was taken into custody without incident.  Couch was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station

NARCOTIC DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kimberly August Romero, 31, of Golden Shores, late Tuesday (3/16) afternoon on four counts of possession of narcotic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, and failure to appear misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.  Approximately 4:19 p.m., deputies contacted Romero during a traffic stop on Vanderslice Road at Courtwright Road.  A record check showed Romero to have an outstanding warrant.  Romero was taken into custody without incident.  Deputies found Romero to be in possession of a pipe with burnt residue and 4 narcotic pills located in a plastic bag.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Prescription Pills for Sale, Misdemeanor Warrant, False reporting to Law Enforcement

 On Tuesday, March 16th, 2010, Kingman Police Officers arrested local resident, Daniel Thomas Bohn, 26, of Kingman for the above charges.  Kingman Police Officers contacted Bohn, at 3rd & Beale Street at approximately 11:30 pm, Tuesday night.  Upon initial contact Bohn, provided a false name.  The officers continued to speak with Bohn and he was taken into custody for providing false information to Law Enforcement.  Search incident to arrest Bohn had in his possession, drugs, drug paraphernalia.  It was later advised that Bohn also had a misdemeanor warrant.  Bohn was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

BURGLARY – DOLAN SPRINGS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David R. Cutler, 21, of Dolan Springs on Monday (3/15) morning for burglary, criminal damage and unlawful flight from law enforcement, felonies.  Approximately 6:00 am, deputies responded to a call at a business in the 15000 block of Pierce Ferry Road and contacted the victim.  The victim reported that his alarm company contacted him and advised of the alarm being activated.  The victim reported that once he arrived, he observed a door to the business had been broken.  The victim advised he spoke with a witness who observed a vehicle leaving the area.  While speaking with the victim, deputies observed a vehicle matching the description traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of Pierce Ferry Road and 14th Street.  Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop as the vehicle continued traveling at a high rate of speed.  Deputies were able to stop the vehicle and contacted the driver, identified as Cutler.  During conversations with Cutler, he admitted to entering the business.  Cutler was taken into custody without incident.  Cutler was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

 

DRUGS – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Olivia Rae Katherine Downey, 33, of Kingman for possession of narcotics and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Deputies also arrested Lou Ann Burrage, 49, of Kingman for an outstanding warrant.  On Monday (3/15) night deputies were patrolling in the 3500 block of Martin Lane.  Burrage was contacted and a record check showed her to have a misdemeanor warrant for interfering with judicial proceedings issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Burrage was taken into custody without incident.  Downey was also contacted and a record check showed her to have misdemeanor warrants for probation violation and interfering with judicial proceedings issued by Kingman Municipal Court.  Downey was taken into custody without incident.  A search revealed Downey to be in possession of a metal pipe, syringe, a plastic bag containing a white powder and a small tin box containing various types of pills.  The white powder field tested positive for methamphetamine.  Burrage and Downey were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

 

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher James Crame, 22, of Kingman on Monday (3/15) for domestic violence, disorderly conduct and preventing use of telephone in an emergency, all misdemeanors.  Approximately 9:00 am, deputies responded to a 911 hang up call in the 3800 block of Thompson Avenue and contacted Crame.  While speaking with deputies, Crame advised he was involved in a verbal argument.  Crame advised that during the argument, the victim attempted to call 911 when he grabbed the phone and threw it to the ground.  Deputies spoke with the 21 year-old female victim who reported she attempted to call 911 when Crame grabbed her cellular phone and threw it causing it to break.  She again attempted to dial 911 from another telephone but Crame took it away from her.  Crame was taken into custody without incident.  Crame was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

 

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Donald Leroy Ramynke, 59, of Laughlin, Nev., on Tuesday (3/16) morning for an outstanding warrant.  Approximately 3:00 am, deputies contacted Ramynke in the area of Valencia Road and Highway 95.  A record check showed Ramynke to have a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court.  Ramynke was taken into custody without incident.  Ramynke was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station.

 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeanine Irene Little, 41, of Lake Havasu City on Sunday (3/14) for an outstanding warrant.  Approximately 11:00 pm, deputies contacted Little in the area of Industrial Blvd. and Highway 95.  A record check showed Little to have a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.  Little was taken into custody without incident.  Little was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Sub-station.

 

THEFT – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Felicia J. Mendez, 33, of Kingman on Friday (3/12) afternoon for theft, a misdemeanor.  On 3/9/10, deputies spoke with a male victim who advised he had left his wallet in the sheriff’s office lobby while conducting unrelated business.  Deputies viewed the video of the front lobby and observed a female sit in a chair next to where the wallet was lying.  The video shows a short time later, the female picks up the wallet and exits the sheriff’s office.  Deputies contacted the female, identified as Mendez.  Mendez denied taking the wallet until deputies advised of the video.  At that time, Mendez admitted to picking up the wallet.  Mendez advised deputies that she removed the property from the wallet and mailed the items back to the owner, keeping the wallet.  Mendez was taken into custody without incident.  Mendez was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DRUGS – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jimmie Lynn Rogers, 27, of Kingman on Monday (3/15) for possession of narcotics, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and aggravated harassment, felonies.  On 3/7/10, deputies responded to a call in the 2300 block of Carver and met with the 24 year-old female victim.  The victim advised that someone had damaged her property and she believed it to be Rogers as he has been harassing her.  While at the residence, Rogers telephoned the victim.  Deputies questioned Rogers about the damage and he denied having any knowledge.  The victim played approximately 20 telephone messages that Rogers left within about 1 ½ hours.  Deputies attempted to contact Rogers but were unsuccessful.  On 3/15/10, deputies contacted Rogers at a residence in the 3500 block of Shaeffer Avenue.  Rogers was taken into custody for the aggravated harassment.  During a search, deputies found Rogers to be in possession of a plastic bag that contained a white substance.  The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine and several prescription medications.  Rogers was taken into custody without incident.  Rogers was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  

 

AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Deana Lee Harris, 41, of Mohave Valley on Saturday (3/13) for aggravated harassment, a felony.  Approximately 4:00 pm, deputies responded to a call at a residence in the 1400 block of Pearl Circle.  Deputies contacted Harris who advised she was waiting for her boyfriend who lives at the residence.  A record check showed Harris to have an active order of protection against her being at the residence.  Harris was taken into custody without incident.  An additional record check shows Harris has violated the order a total of 6 times.

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Arthur Kerns, 26, of Fullerton, California on Sunday (3/14) night for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08% or more and extreme DUI, misdemeanors.  Approximately 8:40 pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 near milepost 194.  Deputies contacted the driver, identified as Kerns.  During conversations with Kerns, deputies smelled an odor of alcohol.  Kerns admitted to drinking.  Following field sobriety tests (FST’s), Kerns was taken into custody without incident.  Kerns was transported to the Mohave County District III Sub-station where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .151%.  Kerns was booked into the jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

DUI – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Daren Reed Griewe, 19, of Kingman on Sunday (3/14) for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08% or more and underage consumption, all misdemeanors.  Approximately 1:30 am, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Bank Street and Kino Avenue and contacted the driver, Griewe.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Griewe.  During conversations with Griewe, he admitted to drinking.  Following field sobriety tests (FST’s), Griewe was taken into custody without incident.  Griewe was transported to the Mohave County Jail where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .114%.  Griewe was booked into the jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Glen Palmer, 34, of Kingman on Friday (3/12) afternoon for an outstanding warrant.  Approximately 12:00 pm, deputies responded to a call at a residence in the 3000 block of Butler Avenue and contacted Palmer.  A record check showed Palmer to have a misdemeanor warrant for interfering with judicial proceedings issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Palmer was taken into custody without incident.  Palmer was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Steven Brack Williams Jr., 32, of Blythe, California on Friday (3/12) afternoon for an outstanding warrant.  Approximately 4:30 pm, deputies contacted Williams during a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Lake Havasu Avenue.  A record check showed Williams to have a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court.  Williams was taken into custody without incident.  Williams was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Sub-station.

 

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Misty Dawn Hampton, 39, of Fort Mohave on Friday (3/12) evening for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.  Approximately 7:00 pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Valencia Road and Frontage Road.  Deputies contacted the driver, identified as Hampton.  A record check showed Hampton to have a misdemeanor warrant for dog at large issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.  Hampton was taken into custody without incident.  Hampton was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station.

 

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Adam Lane Ingram, 47, of Kingman on Saturday (3/13) for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.  Approximately 12:00 am, deputies contacted Ingram in the 3000 block of Northern Avenue.  A record check showed Ingram to have a warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Municipal Court.  Ingram was taken into custody without incident.  Ingram was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Cedrick Keith Page, 51, of Kingman on Saturday (3/13) evening for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.  Approximately 6:00 pm, deputies contacted Page at a residence in the 3800 block of Butler Avenue.  A record check showed Page to have a warrant for issuing bad checks issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Page was taken into custody without incident.  Page was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Justin Michael Moore, 42, of Highland, California on Sunday (3/14) morning for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.  Approximately 8:30 am, deputies contacted Moore in the area of El Rio Road and Highway 95.  A record check showed Moore to have a warrant for failure to appear issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.  Moore was taken into custody without incident.  Moore was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

FRAUD – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Balwant Singh, of California for theft of a credit card, a felony.  Balwant Singh was also later charged with Taking identity of another and False reporting to law enforcement. Deputies also arrested Kulvir Singh, 26, of Fresno, California for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony.  Deputies responded to a call at a business in the 14700 block of Highway 95 and contacted the store manager.  The manager advised a subject at the business attempted to make a purchase with a fraudulent credit card.  Deputies contacted the male subject identified as Balwant Singh and his passenger who was identified as Kulvir.  A search of the semi truck revealed a total of 5 credit cards which Balwant Singh stated he purchased for $200.00 each.  During the search of the truck, deputies located a glass pipe inside a bag that belonged to Kulvir. Balwant and Kulvir were taken into custody without incident.  Balwant and Kulvir were transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Sub-station.  Balwant Singh had given officers a false name that belonged to an individual in Riverside, California.

 

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John R. Conley III, 28, of Kingman on Thursday (3/11) evening for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, a misdemeanor.  Approximately 8:50 pm, deputies located a vehicle partially blocking the lane in the 3800 block of Stockton Hill Road.  While checking the vehicle, deputies observed a handgun between the seat and center console.  While checking the vehicle, a male subject identified as Conley approached and advised deputies the vehicle belonged to him.  Conley consented to a search which revealed a handgun located in the waistband of his pants.  Conley was taken into custody without incident.  Conley admitted to not having a concealed weapons permit.  A search of the vehicle also revealed a syringe and a pipe which Conley admitted belonged to him.  Conley was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

 

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jamie James Lucchino, 25, of Fort Mohave on Thursday (3/11) morning for an outstanding warrant.  Approximately 9:00 am, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Calle Viveza.  Deputies contacted the passenger, identified as Lucchino.  A record check showed Lucchino to have a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.  Lucchino was taken into custody without incident.  Lucchino was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station.

 

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jonathan Lee Folmar, 20, of Needles, California on Thursday (3/11) for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.  Approximately 10:00 pm, deputies contacted Folmar at a residence in the 4400 block of Via Rialto.  A record check showed Folmar to have a warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Folmar was taken into custody without incident.  Folmar was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

 

ASSAULT – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Leslie Everett Wilson, 58, of Mohave Valley on Thursday (3/11) night for assault and disorderly conduct, misdemeanors.  Approximately 10:00 pm, deputies responded to a call in the 2000 block of Maverick Drive and contacted the 41 year-old male victim.  The victim reported that he asked Wilson to leave the residence when Wilson became upset and punched the victim in the face.  Deputies observed a cut on the victim’s lip.  Deputies contacted Wilson who admitted to striking the victim.  Wilson was taken into custody without incident.  Wilson was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

EXTREME DUI – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Herbert Smith IV, 27, of Fort Mohave, early Thursday (3/11) morning for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08%, extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15%, extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .20% and a warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Bullhead City Justice Court, all misdemeanors.  Deputies observed a vehicle traveling south on Highway 95 at a high rate of speed.  Deputies determined the vehicle was traveling 64 miles per hour in a posted 45 mph zone.  Approximately 1:12 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Chaparral Drive west of Highway 95 and contacted Smith, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle.  During conversations with Smith, he admitted to have been drinking.  A record check showed Smith to have an outstanding warrant.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Smith was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District II Substation where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .294%.  He was booked into the jail without incident.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gary Carl Morres Jr., 24, of Mohave Valley, Wednesday (3/10) morning on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court.  Approximately 10:00 a.m., deputies contacted Morres as he was walking in the 1300 block of King Street.  A record check showed Morres to have an outstanding warrant.  Morres was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

 

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Donald Oscar Bergreen, 52, of Kingman, early Wednesday (3/10) evening on a contempt of court misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court.  Approximately 7:30 p.m., deputies contacted Bergreen as he was out into the desert; west of Stockton Hill Road and Northern Avenue.  A record check showed Bergreen to have an outstanding warrant.  Bergreen was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

 

2X’S JUVENILE REFERRAL – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s School Resource Officer has charged Rachel Ross and Makayla Moreno, both 14 years old and both of Golden Valley, Monday (3/8) afternoon for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs in a drug free school zone, felonies.  On February 26th, at about 2:10 p.m., the School Resource Officer responded to the Black Mountain School regarding two students in possession of drugs.  Upon arrival, the SRO contacted school personnel.  Investigations determined that Ross and Moreno were in possession of marijuana and a pipe with burnt residue.  A juvenile referral has been submitted to the Mohave County Juvenile Probation on both students.

THEFT – EAST OF KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Aghasi Grigoryan, 35, of Los Angeles, Calif., early Tuesday (3/9) afternoon for use of a credit card with the intent to defraud, felony.  Approximately 1:16 p.m., deputies responded to a fraud report at a truck stop in the 6000 block of Minerva Lane.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting party, the store manager.  The reporting party said that a customer, later identified as Grigoryan, charged $200 worth of gasoline on a credit card where the last 4-digits on the credit card did not match the receipt.  Deputies contacted Grigoryan.  During conversations with Grigoryan, he said that he found the credit card in the parking lot.  Investigations determined the credit card was a prepaid card, yet the computerized magnetic strip account did not match the printed numbers on the face of the card.  Deputies confiscated the credit card and the receipt.  Grigoryan was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  This investigation continues.

 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Rick Lane Wenzel, 46, of Lake Havasu City, early Tuesday (3/9) evening on a probation violation felony warrant issued out of Maricopa County Superior Court.  Approximately 7:10 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at Kiowa and Highway 95.  Deputies contacted Wenzel, the driver, and a record check showed him to have an outstanding warrant.  Wenzel was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

 

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested William Edward Chastain, 27, of Bullhead City, early Wednesday (3/10) morning on a misdemeanor warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia violation issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.  Approximately 3:15 a.m., deputies contacted Chastain after he walked across Camino Colorado near Calle Ranchita.  A record check showed Chastain to have an outstanding warrant.  Chastain was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

K9 AGENCY ASSISTS – KINGMAN                       

Mohave County Sheriff’s K9 Units responded to two separate incidents Monday (3/8) evening to assist officers from Kingman Police Department. 

 

At about 7:39 p.m., K9 Handler and K9 “Ganto” was dispatched to the Kingman Police Department to assist along with the Arizona Department of Public Safety (Kingman Ranger) who were actively searching for a suspect who had escaped from custody at the Kingman Police Department while handcuffed.  The Kingman Police Department requested that Sergeant Karim and “Ganto” begin there search of the suspect in the last location the suspect was seen.  Sergeant Karim deployed “Ganto” in the area and within 3 minutes the suspect was located hiding in the bushes by the High Desert Inn.  The suspect was taken into custody without further incident and transported back to the Kingman Police Department. 

 

Approximately 9:05 p.m. Sergeant S. Padilla and his police service dog ( PSD ) “Zelig” responded to the 3500 block of Willow Street in reference to a request from the Kingman Police Department wanting a K9 sniff of a vehicle that was suspected of having illegal narcotics in the vehicle.  Upon arrival Kingman Police advised that the driver refused consent for a search of the vehicle.  PSD “Zelig” was deployed around the vehicle and indicated to the presence of illegal narcotics.  A search of the vehicle revealed four small baggies of marijuana located in an I phone box.

 

SEARCH AND RESCUE – NORTH OF BULLHEAD CITY           

Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Units were deployed Thursday (3/4) evening due to two subjects stranded in the desert.  Steven Brodie, 23, of Bullhead City, was self reporting via a cellular telephone that he and his girlfriend were stranded due to their truck being stuck on a cliff near Finger Rock.  Approximately 8:30 p.m., Bullhead City, Kingman and Lake Havasu City Search and Rescue Units responded to the area of Thumb Butte off of Highway 68 near milepost 6.  Mohave Air, SAR fixed wing aircraft, also responded and assisted.  The subjects were located in a motel room Friday (3/5) morning in good condition. 

 

DRUGS – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Daniel Lee Young, 42, of Kingman, Monday (3/8) evening for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, and trespassing, misdemeanor.  At about 6:35 p.m., as deputies were patrolling a neighborhood, they observed a suspicious male subject in an alleyway.  The male subject started walking faster when he observed the patrol vehicle.  As deputies approached, the male subject started running away from the vehicle.  The male subject was wearing a leather jacket and jeans.  Deputies exited their vehicle and followed the male subject eastbound in the alleyway of Lum and Thompson.  Deputies continued to follow the male subject as he jumped fences.  Deputies observed the male subject take off the leather jacket and drop it on the ground.  Deputies detained the male subject identified as Young in the 4000 block of Ryan Avenue.  A search of the jacket revealed a plastic bag containing marijuana, a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance, a plastic bag containing a white crystal rock, a glass pipe with residue and a syringe.  A search of Young’s’ flannel shirt revealed a glass pipe with burnt residue.  During conversations with Young, he said the leather jacket is not his.  Young complained of having chest paints.  Medical personnel arrived and transported Young to Hualapai Mountain Medical Center where he was treated and medically released.  Young was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without further incident. 

 

SUSPENDED LICENSE/WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lance Edward Bender, 36, of Lake Havasu City, late Monday (3/8) morning for driving with suspended license and a failure to pay fines warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court, both misdemeanors.  Approximately 11:45 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at Industrial Boulevard and contacted Bender, the

driver.  A record check showed Bender’s license to be suspended and an outstanding warrant.  Bender was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Adam Conway Dasheill, 42, of Desert Hills, early Monday (3/8) afternoon on a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.  Approximately 1:00 p.m., deputies contacted Dasheill at a residence in the 3000 block of Lake Circle regarding his outstanding warrant.  A record check confirmed Dasheill’s active warrant.  Dasheill was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

 

$2000.00 REWARD   

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and the Arizona Department of Livestock are asking the public’s assistance in identifying the person or persons involved in butchering a steer west of Wikieup and south of Yucca. 

            The incident occurred Friday (3/5) between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. where someone killed a steer at a ranch in the area of Alamo Road between Planet Ranch Road and Chicken Springs Road.  The suspects(s) entered the corral area by cutting the barbed wire fence and shot a steer to death.  The suspect(s) opened the gate allowing the remaining cattle to leave the corral. 

Apparently, the suspect(s) involved in this crime left the scene in a hurry traveling in a vehicle in a wash and into the desert.  MCSO believes someone may have passed by during this incident and may have not known a crime was being committed.  If anyone has any information, please contact Sergeant Barbara Larsen at the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office at (928) 753-0753 or

3X’S DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joseph David Quintana Jr., 18, of Fort Mohave, late Saturday (3/6) evening on three counts of aggravated assault per domestic violence, felonies.  Early Sunday (2/28) morning, at about 3:00 a.m., deputies responded to an assault report in the 4500 block of Cielo Azul Drive.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted three victims.  The first victim, a 16-year-old female, said that Quintana, her brother, came home before 3 am and turned the television on with the volume loud.   The victim further said that she got up from her bedroom and came into the living room to turn the volume down.  The victim further reported that Quintana pushed her and jumped on her while he was choking her.  Deputies contacted the other two victims, parents of Quintana and the female victim.  Both victims, a 54-year-old male and a 47-year-old female, said that they were awoken and when they walked to the living room they observed Quintana sitting on top of their daughter choking her.  The male victim said that they immediately pulled Quintana off of their daughter and he was pushed by Quintana.  The male victim further said that Quintana grabbed a knife from the kitchen and started swinging it around at them.  The male victim advised that he and Quintana got into a fight.  Deputies observed a small laceration above the male victims left eyebrow.  The female victim reported that she grabbed the knife from Quintana while her husband and Quintana were fighting.  Deputies were advised that Quintana left the scene prior to their arrival.  The male victim advised that his shoulder was injured.  Fort Mohave Fire Department personnel responded and transported the male victim to Valley View Medical Center where he was treated and released.  Approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies Quintana at a residence in the 4500 block of Cielo Azul Drive.  During conversations with Quintana, he said that he was drinking a lot that evening and he didn’t remember much about the incident other than being told to leave the residence.  Quintana was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

 

MARIJUANA/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Anthony John Veldhuis, 42, of Lake Havasu City, Sunday (3/7) morning for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, and an outstanding warrant.  Approximately 9:07 a.m., deputies contacted Veldhuis during a traffic stop on San Juan at Kiowa.  A record check showed Veldhuis to have a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.  Veldhuis was taken into custody without incident.  Deputies found Veldhuis to be in possession of marijuana located inside a metal tin canister and a glass pipe with burnt residue. 

He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

 

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Steven Craig Bragassa, 42, of Fort Mohave, Sunday (3/7) morning on a failure to appear misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.  Approximately 10:29 a.m., deputies contacted Bragassa at a residence in the 1400 block of E Stony Drive regarding his outstanding warrant.   Bragassa was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

 

TRESPASSING – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested William Henry Harrison, 52, of Kingman, Sunday (3/7) evening for criminal trespassing, felony.  Approximately 7:32 p.m., deputies responded to the 3000 block of Northern Avenue regarding a disturbance that occurred earlier in the 3000 block Butler Avenue.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted a 70-year-old male victim.  The victim reported that Harrison walked into his house and into his bedroom wanting to fight him.   The victim said that he has told Harrison numerous times to never come back to his residence.  Deputies recall advising Harrison to stay away from the victims’ property several times.  Deputies contacted Harrison at a residence in the 2700 block of E Butler Avenue.  During conversations with Harrison, he admitted to entering the victims’ residence earlier.  Harrison was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

 

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Harley Davidson Jones, 30, of Lake Havasu City, early Sunday (3/7) afternoon for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, and driving with suspended license, misdemeanor.  Approximately 1:28 p.m., deputies observed a red and black dirt bike traveling without registration northbound in the 2900 block of Sombrero in the opposing lane of traffic.  Deputies further observed the motorcycle make a u-turn and pulled into a garage of a residence in the same block.  Deputies contacted Jones, the driver.  A record check showed Jones driver’s license to be suspended.  Jones was taken into custody without incident.  A search of Jones revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance which later field tested positive for methamphetamine.  During conversations with Jones, he said the pants he had on were not his pants.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.  The motorcycle was towed from the scene.  

 

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Franklin Michael Walema Jr., 33, and Nicole Sherene Sieber, 28, both of Kingman, early Monday (3/8) morning.  Walema was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, felony, and a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Sieber was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs, felony, and a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Municipal Court.  At about 3:10 a.m. deputies observed a vehicle located north of the intersection of Thompson Way and El Tovar in the desert.  As deputies approached, they observed two occupants inside.  Deputies contacted Walema and Sieber.  Deputies observed them both to be acting suspicious.  A record check showed Walema and Sieber to each have an outstanding warrant.  Walema and Sieber were taken into custody without incident.  Deputies found Walema to be in possession of a pipe with burnt residue and found Sieber to be in possession of a plastic bag which contained a white crystal substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine.  They were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.  

 

VANDALISM – KINGMAN    

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at the Mohave County Jail early Monday (3/8) due to an inmate causing damage.  At about 12:30 a.m., the Detention Officer reported that inmate James S Mendoza, 18, of Kingman, damaged a fire sprinkler inside a holding cell.  Deputies contacted Mendoza and charged him with jail destruction/injury to jail, a felony.   

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/BURGLARY – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kelly Janette Cook, 27, of Kingman, Saturday (3/6) evening for burglary and aggravated assault, felonies.  Early Saturday (2/27) morning deputies responded to an assault report in the 2900 block of Hearne Avenue.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted the 22-year-old female victim.  The victim reported that she awoke to her boyfriend’s former girlfriend identified as Cook, inside her house yelling.  The victim further reported that Cook grabbed her by the hair and they got into an altercation.  Deputies observed several scratches on the victims face.  Deputies were advised that Cook left the scene prior to their arrival.  Deputies contacted a witness and the witness confirmed the victims’ statements.  Approximately 9:41 p.m., deputies contacted Cook at a residence in the 4600 block of N Marshall.  During conversations with Cook, she said that she was not at the victims’ residence that morning.  Cook was taken into custody without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at the Mohave County Jail on Saturday (3/6) regarding an assault on a Detention Officer by an inmate.  Approximately 4:55 p.m., deputies spoke with the victim, a Detention Officer, and he reported that Mark Anthony Stubbs Jr., 26, of Hesperia, Calif., would not comply with his orders to go back to his cell.  The Detention Officer further reported that he suffered a broken nose when Stubbs punched him.  Stubbs was charged with aggravated assault on detention officer, felony. 

 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Brian Michael Gongaware, 34, of Lake Havasu City, Saturday (3/6) morning on a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.  Approximately 9:25 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle in the 100 block of El Dorado and contacted Gongaware, the driver.  A record check showed Gongaware to have an outstanding warrant.  Gongaware was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

 

LITTERING/WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Howard Russell, 49, of Lake Havasu City, Saturday (3/6) morning on a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court and a civil violation for placing objects on roadway.  Approximately 11:05 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Melrose at Maricopa after observing the driver throw a glass bottle from his moving vehicle in the area.  Deputies contacted the driver identified as Russell.  A record check showed Russell to have an outstanding warrant.  Russell was taken into custody without incident.  Deputies collected the glass bottle from the dirt shoulder of the roadway.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

 

THEFT/TRAFFICKING STOLEN PROPERTY – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Rocky Tairit Perez, 19, of Fort Mohave, Sunday (3/6) evening for possession of stolen property, trafficking stolen property, felonies, and a failure to appear misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.  Approximately 9:52 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 near King Street and contacted Perez, the driver. A record check showed Perez to have an outstanding warrant.  Perez was taken into custody without incident.  A search of the vehicle revealed a stolen rifle located behind the drivers’ seat which was taken during a burglary.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Angela Sue Nicely, 45 and Mark O. White, 55, both of Kingman on Thursday (3/4) for outstanding warrants.  Approximately 11:30 am, deputies contacted Nicely and White in the area of Lum Avenue and Jimmie Drive.  A record check showed Nicely to have a felony warrant for parole violation issued by California Department of Corrections.  Checks also showed White to have a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Both Nicely and White were taken into custody without incident.  Nicely and White were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

SEXUAL ASSAULT/KIDNAPPING – KINGMAN    

Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Benjamin William Stevens, 19, of Kingman, Wednesday (2/24) morning for sexual assault and kidnapping, felonies.  The investigation began Friday (2/12) morning when a 20-year-old female victim came into the Sheriff’s Office in Kingman and reported a sex offense.  The victim said that Stevens, a former boyfriend, sexually assaulted her when he would not allow her to leave his residence in the 2800 block of Jagerson Avenue earlier that morning.  Detectives took Stevens into custody after he was interviewed at the Sheriff’s Office.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.  During on-going investigations, detectives learned of two other female victims, both 18 years old, which had been sexually assaulted by Stevens.  Today (3/4) Stevens was indicted by a Grand Jury on three counts of sexual assault and three counts of kidnapping, all felonies.  This investigation is on-going.

 


 

DOOR TO DOOR SCAM – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public of a possible scam.  Recently a senior citizen was contacted at his residence in Kingman by two young male subjects supposedly selling Dish Network television service.  The senior citizen advised that he was partially blind and he had no use for the service.  The male subjects informed the senior citizen that they had “Special Programming” that would work for him.  As a result, the male subjects convinced the senior citizen for personal information far as name, social security number and a credit card number in which he did not have, to conduct a credit check.  Hence, the senior citizen has not been re-contacted by the male subjects.  The two male subjects were wearing T-shirts with “DISH” printed on them.

 

This incident is believed to be a possible scam and the Sheriff’s Office would like to caution residents.  Always be cautious when it comes to giving personal information.   If you suspect fraud, contact your local law enforcement office.  

 

2X’S THEFT – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Erik Layton Melius and Paige M. Ellingson, both 14 and of Kingman, Wednesday (3/3) evening.  Melius and Ellingson were arrested for unlawful use of means of transportation, felony.  Approximately 8:44 p.m., deputies responded to an automotive theft report in the 4700 block of N Sierra Road and contacted the reporting party.  The reporting party said that she learned Melius, her son, had stolen a car earlier and had gotten into an accident and he left the scene while driving the vehicle.  Deputies contacted the owner of the vehicle, a 36-year-old male victim.  The victim said he learned from Ellingson, his daughter, that she and Melius had taken the car from their residence in the 1500 block of John L Avenue.  Investigations determined that Melius was driving the vehicle with Ellingson, as passenger, earlier that morning when a parked car was struck in the 4700 block of N Van Nuys Road.  The stolen vehicle was driven back to the residence by the juveniles.  Deputies contacted Melius and Ellingson and they both admitted to taking the vehicle and being involved in an accident.  Melius and Ellingson did not suffer any injuries from the accident.  Melius and Ellingson were taken into custody, transported and booked into the Mohave County Juvenile Detention Center. 

 

MARIJUANA/DUI – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Martin Villegas, 62, of Golden Valley, early Wednesday (3/3) evening for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, along with DUI and DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08%, misdemeanors.  At about 7:22 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Garnet Road and Shinarump Road in an attempt to locate a Ford truck pulling a travel trailer that had no lights on the trailer.  Dispatch advised that a reporting party had observed the truck cross over Highway 68 from southbound Estrella Road without stopping for traffic.  The vehicle was then reported to have almost hit three vehicles and was swerving all over the roadway.  Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Garnet Road at Aquarius and contacted Villegas, the driver.  Deputies observed Villegas speech to be slurred.  During conversations with Villegas, he admitted to have been drinking.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Villegas was taken into custody.  A search of Villegas revealed a make-shift pipe with burnt residue and a search of the vehicle revealed a plastic bag containing marijuana.  Villegas was transported to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .119%.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

DRUGS/PROMOTING PRISON CONTRABAND – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Celedonio Elizardo Griego, 30, of Lake Havasu City, late Tuesday (3/2) morning for possession of dangerous drugs, promoting prison contraband, and a probation violation warrant issued out of Maricopa County Superior Court, all felonies.  Approximately 11:50 a.m., deputies contacted Griego during a traffic stop in the area of N Rainbow Avenue and N Acoma Boulevard.  A record check showed Griego to have an outstanding warrant.  Griego was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.  A search of Griego during the booking process revealed two plastic bags containing a white crystal substance located inside his briefs.

 

2X’S FAILURE TO COMPLY FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Dominick Maningoine, 45, of Fort Mohave, Tuesday (3/2) afternoon for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements, failure to maintain driver’s license with accurate address information, felonies, along with two misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear issued by Kingman Justice Court and failure to pay fines issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.  Approximately 2:30 p.m., deputies contacted Maningoine during an unrelated follow-up investigation in the 4600 block of Calle El Dorado.  A record check showed Maningoine to have outstanding warrants and to be a registered sex offender.  Investigations determined that deputies had been attempting to make contact with Maningoine at his listed address in Mohave Valley without success.   During conversations with Maningoine, he said that he was living with his mother in Kingman until recently his recent move to Fort Mohave.   Maningoine was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

 

WARRANT ARRESTS – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David Martin Turner, 39, and Oran Aaron Cox Jr., 46, both of Lake Havasu City, Tuesday (3/2) morning.  Turner was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for contributing to delinquency and dependency of minor issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court.  Cox was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court.  Approximately 8:48 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of Lake Havasu Avenue.  Deputies contacted Turner, the driver, and Cox, the passenger.  A record check showed both Turner and Cox to have an outstanding warrant.  Turner and Cox were taken into custody without incident.  They were transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gilberta Vidana, 43, of Oatman, early Saturday (2/27) morning. Approximately 1:55 a.m., deputies contacted Vidana during a traffic stop on El Rodeo Road near Ashley Drive.  With the assistance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Vidana was determined to be an illegal immigrant.  Vidana was taken into custody without incident.  She was transported to Mohave County District II Substation where ICE, later took her into custody.

 

DUI – DOLAN SPRINGS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Daryl Richard Gouge, 38, of Dolan Springs, early Saturday (2/27) morning for DUI and  DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08%, misdemeanors.  Approximately 2:00 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Stirrup Circle near Eleventh Street and contacted Gouge, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle.  During conversations with Gouge, he admitted to have been drinking.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Gouge was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .119%.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

2X’S AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/RESISTING ARREST – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Nicholas Robert Martinez, 26, of Fort Mohave, early Monday (3/1) evening on two counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and prohibited possessor of a firearm, felonies, along with 5 outstanding warrants.  Deputies learned the whereabouts of a wanted felon identified as Martinez at a business located in the 4600 block of Calle El Dorado.  Approximately 5:41 p.m., deputies attempted to make contact with Martinez as he ran from the rear of the building.  Deputies followed Martinez as he ran toward the highway then onto Camino Viejo.  Deputies then observed Martinez running in a parking lot and throw something from his pocket toward the building.  Deputies conducted a high-risk stop and took Martinez into custody.  A search of Martinez revealed a small nylon holster in his front right pants pocket.  Deputies located a chrome plated 22 caliber derringer approximately 10 feet away from Martinez on the ground.  Martinez kicked two deputies as he was being escorted to a patrol unit.  While Martinez was being further restrained with leg restrains, he obtained a half-inch laceration to the top of his head.  Fort Mohave Fire Department personnel responded and transported Martinez to Valley View Medical Center where he was treated and medically released.  Martinez was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation without further incident. 


 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Nicole Raediane Bassett, 30, of Lake Havasu City, early Monday (3/1) afternoon on a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.  Approximately 12:11 p.m., deputies contacted Bassett as she was walking in a parking lot located at Kiowa Avenue and Highway 95.  A record check showed Bassett to have an outstanding warrant.  Bassett was taken into custody without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher Robin Webber, 37, of Lake Havasu City, early Monday (3/1) afternoon on a failure to pay fines warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.  Approximately 1:10 p.m., deputies contacted Webber inside a business located at Kiowa Avenue and Highway 95 regarding his outstanding warrant.  A record check confirmed Webber’s active warrant.  Webber was taken into custody without incident.  A search of Webber revealed a pipe with burnt residue.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

 

WARRANTS ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gabriella Lucia Portillo, 37, of Mohave Valley, Monday (3/1) afternoon on two failure to appear misdemeanor warrants issued by Bullhead City Justice Court on original charges of no dog license.  Approximately 2:23 p.m., deputies recognized Portillo standing outside a business in the 8400 block of Highway 95.  Deputies knew Portillo to have active warrants.  Deputies contacted Portillo and a record check confirmed Portillo’s outstanding warrants.  Portillo was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

 

DEATH INVESTIGATION – KINGMAN  

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the identity of the deceased female found inside a garage on Tuesday (2/23).  The female is identified as Alicia Marie Viamonte, 43-years-old, with an alias of Viamonte-Conde.  Deputies responded to the 3000 block of E Butler Avenue late Tuesday (2/23) afternoon, at about 4:05 p.m., where a deceased female was located inside a garage.  Investigations show no signs of foul play.  Investigation is ongoing pending medical examiners report. 

 

INJURY ACCIDENT – MEADVIEW 

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle injury accident that occurred on Diamond Bar Road at about milepost 8 early Saturday (2/27) afternoon.  Approximately 12:30 p.m. deputies responded to the scene of where a Chevy pick-up truck ran off the roadway and became stuck in a wash.  The driver identified as Kathleen Brown, 48, complained of back pains.  Lake Mohave Ranchos Fire Department transported Brown to Kingman Regional Medical Center.

CRIMINAL TRESPASSING – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dennis Eddie Lee Riddle, 39, of Mohave Valley, Saturday (2/27) evening for criminal trespassing, a felony.  Approximately 9:45 p.m., deputies responded to a residential burglary in progress in the 1700 block of South Drive.  Dispatch advised that the homeowners have an unknown male subject held at gun point inside their residence.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted the homeowners, a 70-year-old male victim and a 69-year-old female victim.  Deputies had the male victim lower his weapon.  Deputies contacted the male suspect later identified as Riddle.  During conversations with Riddle, he said that he ran into the residence because he was being shot at.  Deputies confirmed with dispatch that no incidents of shots fired were reported in the area.  Riddle was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at the Mohave County Jail Friday (2/26) morning regarding an inmate assaulting another inmate.  Approximately 11:33 a.m., deputies contacted the 63-year-old male inmate victim.  The victim reported that while he was cleaning a section in the J-Pod area that inmate Keith Eric Dillberg, 32, a transient, became argumentative towards him.  The victim further reported that Dillberg struck him several times causing a laceration to his forehead.  Deputies contacted a witness which confirmed the victims’ statements.   Deputies contacted Dillberg.  During conversations with Dillberg, he said that he did not strike or fight with the victim.  Dillberg was charged with aggravated assault, a felony.  The victim was medically treated by medical staff at the jail.

 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Eric Allen Gahagan, 33, of Lake Havasu City, late Friday (2/26) afternoon on a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court.  Approximately 4:00 p.m., deputies contacted Gahagan as he was walking in the 400 block of Lake Havasu Avenue.  A record check showed Gahagan to have an outstanding warrant.  Gahagan was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Rodney Martin  Lockhart, 47, of Lake Havasu City, early Friday (2/26) evening on a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.  Deputies recognized Lockhart driving a vehicle in the area of El Dorado and Daytona Avenue.  Deputies knew Lockhart to have an outstanding warrant.  Approximately 6:26 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Daytona Avenue and contacted Lockhart.  A record check confirmed Lockhart’s active warrant.  Lockhart was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

 

BURGLARY – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Thomas Alvin Montes, 42, of Golden Valley, Friday (2/26) evening for burglary, a felony.  Early Monday (2/22) evening deputies responded to a burglary report in the 3800 block of N Bagdad Road.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted the 60-year-old female victim.  The victim reported that she observed Montes, a neighbor; take a mini-bike from her property.  Deputies responded to Montes residence and attempted to make contact with him, but no one was home. 

Approximately 10:00 p.m., deputies contacted Montes at a residence in the 3800 block of N Bagdad Road.  Deputies observed several mini-bike parts on Montes property.  During conversations with Montes, he said that he did not take the mini-bike from his neighbor.  Montes was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  

 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Aaron Nichols, 28, of Lake Havasu City, Saturday (2/27) morning on a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.  Approximately 7:40 a.m., deputies contacted Nichols as he was walking in the 3100 block of Kearsage.  A record check showed Nichols to have an outstanding warrant.  Nichols was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

 

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Carleen Elaine Ortega, 23, of Needles, Calif., late Sunday (2/28) evening on a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.  Approximately 11:38 p.m., deputies responded to a report of loud music in the 9900 block of Kingman Drive.  During the investigation, deputies contacted Ortega.  A record check showed Ortega to have an outstanding warrant.  Ortega was taken into custody without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

 

DRUGS/WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David Owen Cranney, 50, and Kurt Hertzen, 37, both of Lake Havasu City, Saturday (2/27) morning.  Cranney was arrested on a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.  Hertzen was arrested for possession of narcotic drugs, felony.  Deputies observed two suspicious male subjects sitting inside a parked vehicle in a parking lot located in the 80 block of N Acoma Boulevard.  Approximately 9:46 a.m., deputies contacted both subjects identified as Cranney, the driver, and Hertzen, the passenger.  A record check showed Cranney to have an outstanding warrant.  Deputies took a syringe out of Cranney’s hand as he was taken into custody without incident.  Deputies observed a wallet having a plastic bag sticking out from it.  Hertzen advised the wallet belonged to him.  Deputies opened the wallet and observed a small dark brown piece of substance of what appeared to be heroin inside the plastic bag.  The substance field tested positive for heroin.  Hertzen was taken into custody without incident.  They were transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

MARIJUANA/SUSPENDED LICENSE – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Patrick Shane Grant, 37, of Lake Havasu City, Sunday (2/28) afternoon for possession of marijuana, felony, and driving with suspended license, misdemeanor.  Deputies observed a vehicle pull over and stop in the right shoulder of the roadway in the 2100 block of Barranca Drive.  Deputies further observed a large portion of the parked vehicle to be in the roadway.  Approximately 2:26 p.m., deputies contacted the driver identified as Grant.  A record check showed Grant to have a suspended driver’s license.  Grant was taken into custody without incident.  A search of Grant revealed a plastic bag containing marijuana.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.
