INJURY ACCIDENT – GOLDEN VALLEY  
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an all terrain injury
accident early Monday (3/30) afternoon. At about 2:00 p.m. deputies
responded to the Sacramento Wash, south of Highway 68 where a Sand Rail
flipped over with two occupants onboard.  The driver, Richard Ragan, 54,
of Golden Valley was airlifted to University Medical Center in Las Vegas
with possible head injuries.  The passenger, Alvin Johnson, 37, of
Laughlin, Nevada, was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center
with a possible broken arm.  Richard Ragan estimated they were traveling
60 miles per hour when they caught some air and flipped.  Neither
subjects were wearing seat belts. 

FAILURE TO REGISTER – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Richard Drury, 76, a
transient, Monday (3/30) morning for sex offender registration
violation, felony.  Friday (3/27) while deputies were verifying
registered sex offenders addresses, they determined that Drury was no
longer at an address in which he listed when he registered.
Approximately 9:43 a.m., deputies contacted Drury at the Mohave County
District II Substation.  During conversations with Drury, he said that
he has been living in his car since Wednesday, March 25, 2009.  Drury
was taken into custody and booked into the jail without incident. 

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Douglas Clifford Songer,
34, of Fort Mohave, early Monday (3/30) evening for possession of
marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  At about 5:25
p.m., deputies observed a male subject walking in the center median of
Highway 95 in the 5600 block.  The male subject, later identified as
Songer, was waving his arms in the air.  Deputies contacted Songer after
he ran to the shoulder of Highway 95.  During conversations with Songer,
he said that he was standing in the middle of the street trying to get
his friend to stop and pick him up as they drove by.  A search of Songer
revealed a brown paper containing a plastic bag containing marijuana.
Songer was taken into custody without incident. 
He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation. 

DRUGS/SUSPENDED LICENSE – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Travon Deshon Henry Smith,
21, of Lake Havasu City, Monday (3/30) evening for possession of
dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, and driving
on a suspended license, misdemeanor.  Approximately 10:57 p.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop on Acoma at McCulloch Boulevard and contacted
Smith, the driver.  A record check showed Smith to have a suspended
driver’s license.  Smith was taken into custody without incident.  A
search of the vehicle revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystal
substance.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District III Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

JUVENILE ARREST – KINGMAN  
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Paul Burgess, 14, of
Kingman, Monday (3/30) evening for aggravated assault per domestic
violence, a felony.  At about 8:00 p.m., deputies responded to a
domestic violence call in the 3000 block of Leroy Avenue and contacted
the reporting party.  The reporting party said that Burgess, her son,
got upset and grabbed a knife from the kitchen.  The reporting party
further said that Burgess was saying that he was going to kill his
sister as he was pounding on his sister’s door with the knife in hand.
 Deputies contacted Burgess Sister, a 16-year-old victim.  The victim
reported Burgess went crazy after she asked him for the pliers to fix
her necklace.  Deputies confiscated the kitchen knife which had a wooden
handle with approximately 5 to 6 inch blade.  Deputies contacted
Burgess.  During conversations with Burgess, he said that he grabbed a
kitchen knife and chased his sister until she ran into her bedroom and
closed the door.  Further conversation with Burgess, he said that he
wanted to scare his sister.  Burgess was taken into custody, transported
and booked into the Mohave County Juvenile Detention Center. 

 

Monday, March 30, 2009     MOHAVE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPT NEWS

SUSPENDED LICENSE/DRUGS – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Alan Martin, 48, and
Janet Collier, 36, both of Needles, Calif., late Sunday (3/29)
afternoon.  Martin was arrested for driving on suspended license,
misdemeanor.  Collier was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs,
possession of drug paraphernalia and a fugitive from justice warrant
issued by the California Department of Corrections, all felonies.
Approximately 4:12 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Levee at
Plantation Way and contacted Martin, the driver.  Deputies observed the
front passenger, later identified Collier, to be in possession of an
open bottle of alcohol.  Deputies questioned Collier and she said that
she had been drinking all day.  As deputies were taking Collier into
custody, they observed a plastic bag on the floorboard near her feet.  A
search of the bag revealed a glass pipe with residue and a plastic bag
containing a white crystal substance.  A Fort Mohave Tribal officer
responded and assisted.  A record check showed Martin driver’s license
to be suspended.  Martin was taken into custody without incident.
Martin and Collier were transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Benny Bedell Jr., 42, of
Mohave Valley, Sunday (3/29) evening on a felony probation violation
warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court on original charge of
aggravated DUI.  At about 9:22 p.m., deputies were contacted by a male
subject in the 1800 block of Agua View Road.  The subject said that he
was having a civil dispute with three subjects regarding vehicle
insurance.  The male subject was advised to contact his automobile
insurance company.  During conversations, deputies contacted the three
subjects.  A record check showed one of the subjects identified as
Bedell to have an outstanding warrant.  Bedell was taken into custody
without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation. 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at the Mohave
County Jail on Friday (3/27) regarding an assault on a Detention Officer
by an inmate.  Approximately 8:24 p.m., deputies spoke with the victim,
a Detention Officer, and he reported that Jorge Guerrero, 20, of Bullhead
City, threw body fluids on him while he was picking up dinner trays.
Guerrero was charged with prisoner assault with body fluids, a felony.
Guerrero has been in custody since February 17, 2009, when he was
arrested on 7 felony warrants for first degree murder and misconduct
involving a weapon; two counts of misconduct involving a weapon; four
counts of discharging a fire arm at a structure; two counts of
aggravated assault and disorderly conduct involving a weapon;
involvement in a prison riot, destruction of jail property and criminal
damage; drive by shooting and kidnapping; and failure to appear. 

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Logan Greenfield, 29,
of Golden Valley, Saturday (3/28) afternoon for possession of dangerous
drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia,
felonies, along with probation violation warrant issued by Kingman
Municipal Court and a contempt of court warrant issued by Kingman
Justice Court, both misdemeanors.  At about 2:46 p.m., deputies observed
a vehicle stopped in the roadway on Bolsa Drive near Verde Road.
Deputies stopped and observed the vehicle to have a flat tire.  Deputies
contacted the male subject identified as Greenfield.  A record check
showed Greenfield to have outstanding warrants.  Greenfield was taken
into custody without incident.  A search of Greenfield revealed a
syringe, a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance and a jar
containing marijuana.  Greenfield was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.


DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mitchell Scott Lankford,
44, of Lake Havasu City, Friday (3/27) morning for possession of
marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately
7:50 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5200 block of
Huntington Road and contacted Lankford, the driver.  While speaking with
Lankford, deputies smelled an odor of marijuana.  Deputies questioned
Lankford and he said that he may have a burnt marijuana cigarette around
or something.  With Lankford’s permission, a search of the vehicle
revealed a glass jar containing marijuana and a marijuana pipe.
Lankford was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

RESISTING ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jason Patrick Denman, 26,
of Kingman, early Friday (3/27) evening for resisting arrest, criminal
damage, felonies, and assault, misdemeanor.  Thursday (3/26) evening,
deputies responded to a residence in the 2100 block of Gene Autry Drive
in reference to an assault that occurred in a parking lot in the 1800
block of Northern Avenue.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted the
reporting party, a 20-year-old male victim.  The victim reported that as
he was traveling in his vehicle with friends, he observed Denman
tailgating him.  The victim further said that he pulled into a parking
lot to hopefully speak with Denman.  The victim said that Denman
followed him into the lot and Denman approached the driver’s side door
of his vehicle and reached in and punched him.  The victim further said
that Denman kicked the driver’s side door.  Deputies observed 4 small
dents on the driver’s side door of the victim’s vehicle.  Deputies
attempted to contact Denman without success.  Deputies contacted a
witness and the witness confirmed that Denman hit the victim.  During a
follow-up investigation, at about 6:00 p.m., deputies contacted Denman
in the 100 block of Beale Street.  As deputies were taking Denman into
custody, he struggled and pulled away.  Denman stopped being combative
as deputies were about to administered pepper spray.  Denman was taken
into custody without further incident.  He was transported and booked
into the Mohave County Jail. 

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Bobby Andrew Harlow, 26, of
Lake Havasu City, late Friday (3/27) evening for possession of marijuana
and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 11:00
p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Wings at Pima and contacted
Harlow, the driver.  Harlow was cited for not having vehicle insurance.
A consent search of the vehicle revealed a pipe containing a usable
amount of marijuana.  Harlow was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III
Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene. 

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew F. Wittig, 33, of
Golden Valley, late Saturday (3/28) morning for possession of marijuana,
possession of drug paraphernalia, and a parole violation warrant issued
by Kingman Justice Court, all felonies.  Approximately 11:07 a.m.,
deputies contacted Wittig during a traffic stop in the 1100 block of
Beale Street.  A record check showed Wittig to have an outstanding
warrant.  Wittig was taken into custody without incident.  A search of a
suitcase belonging to Wittig revealed a plastic bag containing
marijuana, three metal spoons with a white residue and a syringe.
Wittig was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

 

Friday, March 27, 2009     MOHAVE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPT NEWS

FRAUDULENT SCHEMES LEADS TO PUPPY MILL
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office began a fraudulent schemes
investigation when a local Kingman veterinarian, Darla Wright, DVM of
Wright Veterinary Services, and a Veterinarian Clinic out of Las Vegas,
Nevada, were victims of forgery.  Health certificates certifying health
examinations conducted on dogs sold by K & S Puppy Ranch in Golden
Valley were forged utilizing the victims’ business letter heads and
falsifying the veterinarian signatures. 

The investigation began after a dog was sold to a customer in
California from the K & S Puppy Ranch and the dog became sick.
The new owner went to a local veterinarian in California with the
certified health documents provided by K & S Puppy Ranch.  At that time,
Darla Wright, DVM of Wright Veterinary Services was contacted and
discovered forged documents of her business and her signature were being used. 

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office executed three search warrants
simultaneous Thursday (3/26) morning at the K & S Puppy Ranch and two
residences in Golden Valley.  Karen Grogan and Shirley Williams are
owners of the business. 
At about 10:15 a.m., search warrants were executed at K & S Puppy Ranch
located at 4107 Highway 68, at Grogan’s residence located in the 3500
block of N Maverick Road and at Williams’s residence located in the
4900 block of N Hoover Road. 
Karen Grogan and Shirley Williams were contacted at the business. 

The search warrant at Williams’s residence revealed 32 dogs and 5
puppies.  The search warrant at Grogan’s residence revealed 17 dogs.
Williams and Grogan were given 24 hours to seek veterinarian services
for a couple dogs which needed medical attention.  Mohave County Animal
Control personnel will follow-up to ensure medical attention is sought.

Both Shirley Williams, 74, and Karen Grogan, 57, were charged with
animal cruelty, no dog license (times the number of dogs) and county
ordinance - more than 4 dogs (operating a kennel without a license), all
misdemeanors.
K & S Puppy Ranch business does have a valid operation permit, but
Williams and Grogan don’t have permits to operate commercial kennels
at their homes. 
Mohave County Planning and Zoning and Mohave County Environmental
Health will continue with their investigation with violations observed
during the execution of the search warrant.
The fraudulent schemes investigation continues with possible charges.

3X’S CRIMINAL DAMAGE – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three Golden Valley
residents Thursday (3/26) morning.  Kurtis Wayne Belt, 27, was arrested
for trafficking stolen property and criminal damage, felonies.  Lloyd
Michael Dykes, 21, and Bruce Robert Marler, 18, were each arrested for
criminal damage, felonies.  Deputies responded to a theft report on
January 26, 2009, in the 900 block of Eloy Road.  Deputies contacted the
61-year-old male victim.  The victim reported that he left his residence
for a few hours and when he returned his parked Honda Prelude had been
moved and the exhaust system from the vehicle was stolen.  Deputies
observed the vehicle was parked on the property and had been dragged a
few feet from its original location.  Deputies contacted a witness.
Investigations determined that a van pulled onto the victims’ property
and two male subjects identified as Lloyd Dykes and Kurtis Belt exited
the vehicle.  Lloyd Dykes and Kurtis Belt proceeded to hook something on
the Honda and began to pull the Honda utilizing their van.  Bruce Marler
was seen sitting inside the van.  Approximately 10:45 a.m., deputies
contacted Lloyd Dykes and Bruce Marler at a residence in the 700 block
of Elgin Road.  During conversations with Marler, he said that he, Dykes
and Belt went to the victim’s house and cut the Honda’s exhaust
system.   Further conversations with Marler, he said that he went with
Belt to a recycling business in Golden Valley where Belt sold the
exhaust system.  Marler and Dykes were taken into custody without
incident.  They were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
 Deputies proceeded to contact Belt at a residence in the 3200 block of
Peridot Road where he was taken into custody without incident.  Belt was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.


DOMESTIC VIOLENCE/WARRANTS ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Shawn Michael Adams, 30, of
Riverside, Calif., Thursday (3/26) evening for aggravated assault per
domestic violence, felony, and two local warrants.  Approximately 10:17
p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 5500 block of Chaparral
Court and contacted a 30-year-old female victim.  The victim reported
that Adams, her ex-boyfriend, entered her residence without her
permission.  The victim further reported that Adams grabbed her and
threw her to the ground.  The victim said that Adams left her residence
walking.  Deputies searched the immediate area and located Adams in the
backyard of a neighbor’s residence where he was crouched down behind a
water softener which sat near the east wall of the residence.  Deputies
detained Adams.  During conversations with Adams, he admitted to
entering the victim’s residence and he said that he didn’t mean to
push the victim which caused the both of them to fall.  A record check
showed Adams to have two misdemeanor warrants for contempt of court.
The first warrant was issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court on
1-22-09 with $5,000 bond while the second warrant was issued by Bullhead
City Justice Court on 2-4-09 with $2,500 bond.  Adams was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation without
incident.

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Alvin Lionel Larsuel Jr.,
44, of Pasadena, Calif., Tuesday (3/24) evening for driving on a
suspended license, a misdemeanor.  Approximately 9:52 p.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop on Acoma at Rainbow and contacted Larsuel, the
driver.  A record check showed Larsuel to have a suspended driver’s
license.  Larsuel was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Marijuana and Paraphernalia Arrest

On Thursday March 26th, at about 11pm Kingman Police Officers arrested Kaylee Bell 18 years of age and her 17 year old friend, both Kingman residents in the 400 block of Country Club Avenue.  Officers contacted the subjects and they admitted to having a Marijuana Pipe under the drivers’ seat and 3.3 grams of Marijuana was located next to the pipe.  Bell was booked into the Mohave County Jail for Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.  The 17 year old male was charge via Juvenile Referral.

 

Thursday, March 26, 2009     MOHAVE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPT NEWS

COUNTY ORDINANCE – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Christopher Osborne,
40, of Bullhead City, early Wednesday (3/25) afternoon for unauthorized
off-road motor vehicle use, a misdemeanor.  Deputies observed a red quad
towing a utility trailer traveling westbound on Hammer.  Deputies
further observed no license plate on the vehicle.  Approximately 4:54
p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hammer at Lakewood Road and
contacted Osborne, the driver.  Deputies informed Osborne that he was in
violation of county ordinance of an unauthorized off-road vehicle being
within one quarter of a mile of a business.  Osborne was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District II Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

SUSPENDED LICENSE/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Daniel Jared Correll, 31,
of Lake Havasu City, early Wednesday (3/25) evening for possession of
drug paraphernalia, felony, and driving on a suspended driver’s
license, misdemeanor.  Approximately 5:43 p.m., deputies conducted a
traffic stop on Hammer on Mohican at Sweetgrass and contacted Correll,
the driver.  A record check showed Correll to have a suspended
driver’s license.  Correll was taken into custody without incident.
 A search of the vehicle revealed a bottle containing a cotton ball and
dark brown burnt residue which field tested positive for heroin residue.
 He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III
Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ronald James Stiles, 34, of
Kingman, early Wednesday (3/25) evening for possession of dangerous
drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, along with two
misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear and a contempt of court; both
issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Approximately 5:41 p.m., deputies
responded to a suspicious male subject walking in the area of Potter
Avenue and Casey Lane.  Deputies were advised the subject was yelling
and walking without shoes on and no shirt.  Deputies responded to the
area and observed a male subject standing in the middle of Sierra, north
of Potter, where the male subject was throwing his hands up in the air
and yelling.  Deputies contacted the subject identified as Stiles.  A
record check showed Stiles to have outstanding warrants.  Stiles was
taken into custody without incident.  A search of Stiles revealed a
broken glass pipe with residue and a folded paper containing a white
crystal substance which later field tested positive for methamphetamine.
 He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS – KINGMAN      
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 3 illegal immigrants
Tuesday (3/24) evening.  At about 8:11 p.m., deputies conducted a
traffic stop on Northern Avenue at Bank Street.  Deputies contacted the
driver identified as Alexander Sedano, 20, by his Mexico identification
card.  During conversations with Sedano, he said that he did not have
legal status in the United States.  Deputies contacted 2 passengers
inside the vehicle and they both said that they did not have legal
status in the United States.  Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed
a hold on the 3 subjects.  The 3 subjects were taken into custody and
transported to the Mohave County Jail where Border Patrol later took
them into custody.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jerry Wayne Lessing, 38, of
Desert Hills, early Wednesday (3/25) morning on a misdemeanor warrant
for failure to pay fines issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.
Approximately 1:42 a.m., deputies contacted Lessing in the area of Pero
and Latrelle Drive regarding his outstanding warrant.  Lessing was
 taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the
Mohave County District III Substation. 

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ana Maria Katrina Owens,
21, of Kingman, early Saturday (3/21) morning on a drug paraphernalia
violation felony warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Approximately
1:30 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Arizona Street, south of
Northern Avenue.  Deputies contacted Owens and a record check showed
Owens to have an outstanding warrant.  Owens was taken into custody
without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ryan Arthur Duran, 21, of
Las Vega, Nevada, early Monday (3/23) morning on a contempt of court
misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court on
10-28-09.  Approximately 2:02 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in
the area of Lake Havasu Avenue and McCulloch Boulevard. Deputies
contacted Duran and a record check showed Duran to have an outstanding
warrant.  Duran was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

WATERWAYS ARRESTS – LAKE HAVASU
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested the following people on
Lake Havasu from Friday (3/20) through Saturday (3/21):

● The following person was arrested for Operating Under the
Influence (OUI) – Watercraft, OUI – Watercraft with a BAC of .08% or
more, Extreme OUI – Watercraft with a BAC of .15% or more and Super
Extreme OUI – Watercraft with a BAC of .20% or more,

(all misdemeanors) Jared Colby Thomas, 25, of Lynn, MA

● The following person was arrested for OUI – Watercraft
(misdemeanor) and refusal to submit to alcohol test (civil violation)
Brendan Troy Beyerbach, 21, of Las Vegas, NV.


WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Constance Ann Rumer, 38, of
Desert Hills, late Tuesday (3/24) afternoon on a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court on 12-30-08
with $4,000 bond.  Approximately 4:27 p.m., deputies contacted Rumer in
the area of Jacob Row and Highway 95 regarding her outstanding warrant.
A record check confirmed Rumer’s active warrant.  Rumer was taken into
custody without incident.  She was transported and booked into the
Mohave County District III Substation. 

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Leslie Louise Jenson, 37,
of Kingman, early Tuesday (3/24) evening on a fugitive from justice
felony warrant issued out of Clackamas County Superior Court in Oregon
on 2-27-09.  Approximately 7:35 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop
at El Rodeo Road and Highway 95.  Deputies contacted Jenson, the driver.
 A record check showed Jenson to have an outstanding warrant.  Jenson
was taken into custody without incident.  She was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II Substation.

On March 22nd, 2009 the Kingman Police Department was contacted by the Teller County Sheriff’s Department, from Cripple Creek Colorado in reference to a Michael Lee Riehle 27 year old Kingman resident wanted for a Felony Warrant out of Colorado.  Kingman P.D. patrol Officers responded to the 1800 block Pico Street and Riehle was located and taken into custody without incident.  Riehle was booked into the Mohave County Jail on the Fugitive from Justice Warrant and will be extradited back to Colorado.

 

Tuesday, March 23, 2009     MOHAVE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPT NEWS

UNLAWFUL FLIGHT – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Reid Hugh Smith, 39, of
Kingman, Friday (3/20) evening for unlawful flight from law enforcement
vehicle, a felony.  At about 10:15 p.m., deputies observed a gray Dodge
Dakota run a stop sign at the corner of Jagerson Avenue and Stockton
Hill Road.  Deputies further observed the vehicle accelerate rapidly
traveling northbound on Stockton Hill Road and pass another vehicle.
Deputies caught up with the vehicle and determined the vehicles speed to
be 95 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone.  Deputies attempted to conduct a
traffic stop but the vehicle continued traveling without stopping.
Eventually the vehicle came to a stop at milepost 7.  Deputies conducted
a high risk stop and took the driver, later identified as Smith, into
custody.  A record check showed Smith to have a failure to appear
misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court and a suspended
driver’s license.  Smith was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail without further incident.  Smith was also cited for exceed
85 miles per hour, a misdemeanor.  The vehicle was towed from the
scene.

DRUGS – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Donny John Rasberry, 20, of
Fort Mohave, Saturday (3/21) afternoon for possession of marijuana,
felony.  Approximately 12:00 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at
El Rodeo and Calle Del Media.  Deputies contacted Rasberry, the driver.
Deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the
vehicle.  Deputies questioned Rasberry about the marijuana.  Rasberry
gave deputies about 1 gram of marijuana.   Rasberry was taken into
custody without incident.  Deputies contacted the 17-year-old female
juvenile passenger of Fort Mohave.  Deputies questioned the juvenile and
the juvenile pulled a pack of rolling papers out of her pocket.
Rasberry and the juvenile were transported and booked into the Mohave
County District II Substation.  The juvenile was later released to an
adult.  The juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana and
possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  The vehicle was towed from
the scene.

VANDALISM – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at the Mohave
County Jail on Monday (3/23) due to an inmate causing damage.  At about
12:36 a.m., the Detention Officer reported that inmate Ernest Martinez,
40, of Golden Valley broke a fire sprinkler inside a holding cell.
Deputies contacted Martinez.  Martinez was charged with jail
destruction/injury to jail, a felony. 

INJURY ACCIDENT – KINGMAN
Early Monday (3/23) morning, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Koye Kost, 32,
of Kingman, admitted himself to Kingman Regional Medical Center with
injuries he claimed to have received in an ATV incident.  Later Kost was
transferred to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas for further
treatment.  Deputies later determined that Kost was driving a truck when
the accident occurred.  Deputies located Kost's 2006 Chevrolet truck on
Bank Street, 1 mile north of Jagerson Avenue. Deputies determined that
Kost had been traveling northbound at extremely high speeds when he lost
control of the truck and ended up rolling several times. The initial
findings from the investigation have revealed that alcohol and speed are
contributing factors in the crash.  This accident remains under
investigation.  Kost was released from the hospital Monday (3/23)
afternoon.

SEARCH AND RESCUE – DOLAN SPRINGS 
Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Units responded Sunday
(3/22) morning to a lost person.   Approximately 7:30 a.m., Search and
Rescue Units responded to a call from Peter Andver, 67.  Andver advised
that he left his residence extremely early before sunrise and he had
taken a wrong turn in his vehicle and he was lost.  Approximately 9:18
a.m. deputies located Andver off the end of Fairway Road.  Andver had
gotten turned around in his directions.  Andver was in good condition,
other than being tired.  Andver was escorted to Meadview.


ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS – GOLDEN VALLEY     
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 7 illegal immigrants Monday
(3/23) morning.  Dispatch was informed by a witness regarding suspicious
subjects hiding under a bridge.  At about 8:45 a.m., deputies responded
to the scene of 5 to 6 subjects hiding under a bridge off of Highway 68.
 As deputies arrived, they observed a Ford Expedition and a Chevy
Suburban traveling east on the shoulder of Highway 68.  Deputies
conducted a traffic stop on both vehicles at Aztec Road.  Deputies
contacted 6 subjects in the Ford Expedition and 1 subject in the Chevy
Suburban.  With the assistance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement,
all 7 subjects were determined to be illegal immigrants.  The 7 subjects
were taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Jail where
Border Patrol will later take them into custody.  The vehicles were
towed from the scene.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/ENDANGERMENT – SOUTH OF LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tina Michele Means, 37, of
Lake Havasu City, Friday (3/20) afternoon for aggravated assault with a
deadly weapon, endangerment, felonies, along with DUI, DUI with a blood
alcohol concentration over .08%, extreme DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .15% and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .20%, misdemeanors.  March 3, 2009, deputies were
dispatched to the area of Cattail Cove where a Good Samaritan was with a
vehicle which was traveling north bound in the south bound lane of
Highway 95.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted the female driver, later
identified as Means.  Deputies observed Means to be unresponsive.
Medical was called to respond.  Deputies smelled a moderate odor of
alcohol emitting from Means breath.  River Medical Ambulance arrived and
transported Means to Havasu Regional Medical Center.  Deputies contacted
the Good Samaritan, a witness.  The witness reported that he was
traveling southbound on Highway 95 approaching the upward left turn at
milepost 167 when he observed a vehicle heading toward him in the
southbound lane.  The witness said he avoided the oncoming vehicle by
turning into the shoulder.  The witness further reported that he turned
his vehicle around and observed the suspects vehicle drive back across
the highway and onto the shoulder where the vehicle came to a stop.  The
witness also said that he turned the suspects’ vehicle off.  Means
vehicle was towed from the scene.  Deputies responded to the Havasu
Regional Medical Center.  A blood sample was taken from Means to be
submitted to the Arizona Crime Lab for further analysis.   Friday, March
20, deputies received the results of Means blood draw from the Arizona
Crime Lab which revealed her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be
.323%.  Approximately 2:30 p.m., deputies contacted Means at a residence
in the 3700 block of Sloop Drive where she was taken into custody
without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District III Substation. 

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/SUSPENDED LICENSE – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Harold Emmons Hoggins Jr.,
37, of Lake Havasu City, early Friday (3/20) evening for possession of
drug paraphernalia, felony, and driving on suspended license,
misdemeanor.  Approximately 6:15 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop
on Constellation at Acoma and contacted Hoggins, the driver.  A record
check showed Hoggins to have a suspended driver’s license.  Hoggins
was taken into custody without incident.  A search of the vehicle
revealed a plastic blue container containing a white crystal residue.
During conversations with Hoggins, he said the container did not belong
to him.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District
III Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene. 

WARRANTS ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Carl Wayne Owens
 Jr., 29, atransient, Friday (3/20) evening on a failure to appear warrant and a
failure to pay fines warrant, both misdemeanor warrants issued by Lake
Havasu City Justice Court.  Approximately 9:27 p.m., deputies observed
Owens in front of a residence at Arapaho at Kearsage.  Deputies knew
Owens to have active warrants.  Deputies contacted Owens.  A record
check confirmed Owens outstanding warrants.  Owens was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at the Mohave
County Jail Wednesday (3/18) afternoon regarding an inmate assaulting
another inmate.  Approximately 1:45 p.m., deputies contacted the
20-year-old male inmate victim.  The victim reported that he was
assaulted by an inmate.  The victim suffered a fractured nasal bone and
jawbone as determined by medical onsite.  The offending inmate was
identified as Anthony Martin Schutte, 20, of Cedar City, AZ.  Deputies
contacted Schutte and he said it was in self defense.  Schutte was
charged with aggravated assault, a felony. 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Morgan Steve Sette, 27, of
Lake Havasu City, early Tuesday (3/17) evening on a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court on
11-14-08 with $6,000 bond.  Approximately 6:00 p.m., deputies contacted
Sette during a traffic stop on Acoma at Clarke.  A record check showed
Sette to have an outstanding warrant.  Sette was taken into custody
without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District III Substation.

EXTREME DUI – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Thomas Christopher Ramsden,
27, of Lake Havasu City, early Wednesday (3/18) morning for DUI, DUI
with a blood alcohol concentration over .08%, extreme DUI with a blood
alcohol concentration over .15% and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .20%, misdemeanors.  Approximately 1:00 a.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop on Acoma Boulevard, north of Swanson,
and contacted Ramsden, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol
on Ramsden.  During conversations with Ramsden, he admitted to have been
drinking.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Ramsden was
taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District III
Substation where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration
(BAC) to be .215%.  He was booked into the jail without incident. 

WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lea Lynn Malaro, 35, of
Golden Valley, Monday (3/16) afternoon on a felony warrant for marijuana
violation, drug paraphernalia violation and smuggling contraband into
prison issued by Kingman Justice Court on 3-5-09.  Approximately 3:35
p.m., deputies contacted Malaro in the 6700 block of Abrigo Drive
regarding her outstanding warrant.  Malaro was taken into custody
without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail. 

AGGRAVATED DUI – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher Lee Johnson,
37, of Kingman, Monday (3/16) afternoon for aggravated DUI, felony,
along with DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08%,
extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15% and extreme DUI
with a blood alcohol concentration over .20%, misdemeanors.  At about
3:05 p.m., deputies responded to the intersection of Bank Street and
Jagerson Avenue in reference to a single vehicle accident.  Upon
arrival, deputes were unable to locate the involved vehicle or any signs
of an accident.  A short time later, deputies were informed of the
location of the vehicle that was involved in the accident.  Deputies
responded to the 6000 block of Bank Street and observed a vehicle facing
south in the northbound lane.  The front end of the vehicle had heavy
damage and had hit a large power pole along the east edge of Bank
Street.  Deputies observed a male subject sitting in the driver’s seat
of the vehicle.  Deputies contacted the male subject identified as
Johnson.  Deputies questioned Johnson about needing medical attention
and Johnson said he was fine.  Deputies smelled a heavy odor of alcohol
on Johnson.  During conversations with Johnson, he admitted to having
been drinking.  A records check revealed Johnson to have a suspended
driver’s license. Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s),
Johnson was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County
Sheriff’s Office where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol
concentration (BAC) to be .290%.  He was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail without incident.

 

Thursday, March 19, 2009       MOHAVE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPT NEWS

UNLAWFUL IMPRISONMENT – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lincoln Leigh Gawthorp, 61,
of Fort Mohave on Thursday (3/19) morning for unlawful imprisonment, a
felony.  Approximately 1:30 am, deputies responded to a call in the 5700
block of Sunrise Drive.  Deputies contacted Gawthorp who advised he has
been having problems with people ringing his doorbell and running off.
Gawthorp reported that when it happened this time, he observed a group
of juveniles in a nearby driveway.  Gawthorp advised that he grabbed
onto one of the female juveniles and escorted her back to his home so he
could contact the sheriff’s office.  Deputies spoke with the 14
year-old female who advised she had not rang the doorbell.  Deputies
contacted witnesses at the scene who confirmed the victims statements
and reported that Gawthorp had detained the victim inside his residence.
 Gawthorp was taken into custody without incident.  Gawthorp was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station.

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gary Dean Colley, 42, of
Lake Havasu City on Wednesday (3/18) evening for an outstanding
misdemeanor warrant.  Approximately 6:00 pm, deputies contacted Colley
at a residence in the 300 block of Hound Circle.  A record check showed
Colley to have a warrant for interfering with judicial proceedings
issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.  Colley was taken into custody
without incident.  Colley was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Sub-station.

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher Michael Benson,
42, of Lake Havasu City on Wednesday (3/18) for an outstanding warrant.
Approximately 7:00 pm, deputies contacted Benson in the 200 block of
Lake Havasu Avenue.  A record check showed Benson to have a misdemeanor
warrant for failure to pay a fine issued by Lake Havasu City Justice
Court.  Benson was taken into custody without incident.  Benson was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Sub-station.

SEX OFFENSE – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Harlan Walter Longe, 61, of
Kingman, Tuesday (3/17) evening for sex abuse, a felony.
At about 7:10 p.m., deputies responded to the Kingman Police Department
at 2730 E Andy Devine Avenue and contacted a 23-year-old male victim.
The victim reported that Longe, his uncle, inappropriately touched him
this evening at a residence in the 2000 block of Butler Avenue.
Deputies responded to the residence and contacted Longe.  During
conversations with Longe, he admitted to inappropriately touching the
victim.  Longe was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David Michael Farr, 45, of
Desert Hills, early Monday (3/16) evening on a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court on
1-22-09.  Approximately 5:39 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance
in the 1900 block of Thrasher Drive.  Deputies made contact with Farr.
A record check showed Farr to have an outstanding warrant.  Farr was
taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into
the Mohave County District III Substation. 

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mel Patrick Herrera, 38, of
Albuquerque, New Mexico, early Monday (3/16) evening for possession of
marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Deputies
observed a vehicle traveling approximately 75 miles per hour in a 55 mph
posted zone on Highway 68.  Approximately 7:00 p.m., deputies conducted
a traffic stop on Highway 68 at Magma and contacted Herrera, the driver.
 Deputies immediately smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming
from inside the vehicle.  Deputies had Herrera exit the vehicle.  During
conversations with Herrera, he said that there is a marijuana cigarette
in the ashtray.  Herrera was taken into custody without incident.  A
search of the vehicle revealed 6 burnt marijuana cigarettes in the
ashtray, a silver storage device containing marijuana residue located in
the center console and a make shift pipe with residue located under the
driver’s seat.  Herrera was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gary Glenn Garrett III, 19,
of Desert Hills, Monday (3/16) evening on a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court on 1-26-09.
 Approximately 8:20 p.m., deputies arrested Garrett at the Mohave County
District III Substation for an outstanding warrant.  Garrett was taken
into custody and booked into the jail without incident. 

4X’S AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/CRIMINAL DAMAGE – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a female subject from
Bullhead City and three male subjects from Mohave Valley early Tuesday
(3/17) morning.  Parris Ann Haymes, 23, Kevin William Hill, 23, Cameron
Michael Stone, 23, and Brereton Emerson Sherrill, 21, were each arrested
for aggravated assault and criminal damage, felonies.  Monday (3/16)
evening, at about 10:42 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Prescott
Drive and Arditto Place in reference to a weapons offense.  A reporting
party said that fighting was heard in the area and shortly thereafter
five vehicles drove down the road at a high rate of speed.  Deputies
were advised the involved vehicles were a red sedan, a SUV, a dark
vehicle, a pickup truck and a white Saturn.  Deputies were also informed
that three gun shots were heard in the area.  Deputies immediately began
searching the area for the vehicles.  Deputies were flagged down by two
male subjects in a white truck while deputies were parked on the north
side of a mini market at Courtwright and Highway 95.  The subjects
informed deputies that the Ford Explorer pulling behind the mini market
was one of the vehicles involved in the incident.  Deputies detained all
four subjects in the Explorer identified as Haymes, Hill, Stone and
Sherrill.  Deputies contacted the victims.  The investigation determined
that the victims were at a beach earlier when Haymes, Hill, Stone and
Sherrill showed up and started causing problems when rocks were thrown
and a baseball bat was used to break his vehicle car window and the tail
light.  Fort Mohave Tribal Officer responded and assisted at the scene.
Haymes, Hill, Stone and Sherrill were transported and booked into the
Mohave County District II Substation without incident.  This case
remains under investigation.


SEARCH AND RESCUE – BEAVER DAM (ARIZONA STRIP)
Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Units were deployed early
Monday (3/16) evening due to a subject stranded on Black Rock Mountain.
Daryl Yeates, 57, of Utah, was self reporting via a cell phone that he
was out site seeing and his jeep became stuck in the snow.  Early
Tuesday (3/17) morning, shortly after midnight, SAR units located Yeates
in good condition while he sat in his jeep which was surrounded in
3-feet of snow.  The vehicle was running while the heater ran.  Yeates
was transported to Mesquite. 

WEAPON OFFENSE – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Steven Harvey Goldstein,
60, of Golden Shores, early Sunday (3/15) morning for misconduct
involving a weapon, felony.  Deputies responded to a threatening
situation where a male subject inside a residence was threatening to
take his own life.  Dispatch informed deputies that a Riverside County
Sheriff’s deputy contacted them and advised that he was on the phone
with a subject named Goldstein from Golden Shores.  The Riverside County
deputy further advised that Goldstein was inside his trailer with a shot
gun and a handgun threatening to take his own life.  At about 11:00
p.m., deputies arrived at the trailer park located in the 12000 block of
Highway 95.  Deputies contacted Goldstein’s wife after she was
encouraged to leave the trailer and she confirmed that Goldstein has a
shotgun and a handgun.  Deputies learned that Goldstein had been
consuming alcohol.  Golden Shores Fire personnel responded and were
staged nearby.   Many residents were evacuated from the immediate area
near Goldstein’s trailer.  The Riverside County deputy continued to
stay on the phone with Goldstein.  At about 11:30 p.m., Goldstein opened
his trailer door and placed a Winchester 12 gauge shotgun on the ground.
 Goldstein immediately went back inside and locked the door.  A
negotiator from Mohave County Sheriff’s Office continued the phone
conversation with Goldstein for hours.  Eventually, the phone
conversation ended and the residence became quiet.  At about 3:00 a.m.,
deputies entered the residence where they located Goldstein sleeping on
the couch.  Goldstein was detained.  Deputies located a loaded handgun
on an end table.  Golden Shores Fire personnel evaluated Goldstein and
he was cleared medically.  Goldstein was transported and booked into the
Mohave County District II Substation without further incident. 

WARRANTS ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John David Oliver, 56, of
Desert Hills, early Sunday (3/15) afternoon on a failure to pay fines
warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court and a failure to appear
warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court, both misdemeanors.
Approximately 1:26 p.m., deputies contacted a male subject identified as
Oliver at the corner of Bryden Street and London Bridge Road.  A record
check showed Oliver to have outstanding warrants.  Oliver was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation. 

SUSPENDED LICENSE/WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gail Lynn Bahr, 49, of Fort
Mohave, early Friday (3/13) afternoon on a fraudulent use of a credit
card felony warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court and driving on
suspended license,  a misdemeanor. Approximately 12:55 p.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop in the 4400 block of Highway 95 and contacted
Bahr, the driver. A record check showed Bahr to have an outstanding
warrant and a suspended driver’s license.  Bahr was taken into custody
without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tammy Marie Menighan, 34,
of Lake Havasu City, late Friday (3/
13) evening on a failure to appear
misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.  Deputies
observed a vehicle failing to make a complete stop at an intersection
and coming within 50 to 100 feet of striking a Department of Public
Safety vehicle that had its emergency lights activated in the number 2
lane of Highway 95, north of west Acoma.  Approximately 11:44 p.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop on Kiowa at Highway 95 and contacted
the driver and two passengers.  A record check showed Menighan, one of
the passengers, to have an outstanding warrant.  Menighan was taken into
custody without incident.  She was transported and booked into the
Mohave County District III Substation.  The DPS officer arrived and
continued the investigation with the driver.

WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Siviano Jino Perez, 27, of
Golden Shores, late Sunday (3/15) afternoon on a criminal damage felony
warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court on 12-30-08 with a $2,500
bond.  Deputies received information of the possible whereabouts of a
wanted felon identified as Perez.  Approximately 4:45 p.m., deputies
contacted Perez at a residence in the 12700 block of Cortaro Drive
regarding his outstanding warrant.  Perez was taken into custody without
incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District
II Substation.

INJURY ACCIDENT – ARIZONA STRIP      
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an all terrain injury
accident late Saturday (3/14) morning. At about 11:45 a.m. deputies
responded to the area approximately 50 miles south of St. George and
located the injured victim identified as Katheryn Holland, 46, of
Clarkston, Michigan.  Holland rolled a four wheeler on BLM road 1046
approximately 2 miles inside of the Grand Canyon National Park.  Arizona
Department of Public Safety Air Rescue Ranger airlifted Holland to
University Medical Center in Las Vegas where she is currently listed in
serious condition. 

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Raymond Hennings,
23, a transient, early Friday (3/13) evening for possession of drug
paraphernalia, promoting prison contraband, felonies along with an
outstanding warrant.  At about 5:15 p.m., deputies responded to a report
of fireworks going off in the area of Tommie Drive and Neal Avenue.
Deputies contacted a male subject, later identified as Hennings, walking
in an alleyway.  Deputies questioned Hennings about having any fireworks
or weapons in his possession and Hennings said that he didn’t.
Deputies observed a large pocket knife in Hennings front pants pocket.
Deputies questioned Hennings again and he said that he had forgotten
about the knife.  A search of Hennings revealed a scale with residue.
Hennings was taken into custody without incident.  Hennings was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  During the booking
process a plastic bag of marijuana was located in Hennings front pocket,
also a record check showed Hennings to have a contempt of court
misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court. 

ENDANGERMENT/UNLAWFUL FLIGHT – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christina Marie Lindsey
Garrison, 20, of Kingman, early Friday (3/13) evening for endangerment
and unlawful flight from law enforcement vehicle, felonies.  At about
5:47 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle roll through a stop sign on
Potter Avenue at Van Nuys Road.  Deputies conducted a traffic stop and
contacted Garrison, the driver, along with a female and male passenger.
Deputies walked back to their patrol unit to conduct a records check and
observed the vehicle drive away, traveling northbound on Van Nuys Road
then east on Suffock Avenue.  Deputies observed the vehicle traveling at
high rates of speed.  The vehicle driven by Garrison nearly struck a
patrol unit in the area of Roosevelt Street and Suffock Avenue.  The
deputy accelerated and swerved to avoid a collision.  A short time
later, deputies conducted a high risk traffic stop on Butler Avenue at
Butler Way.  Deputies contacted Garrison and observed the male passenger
was no longer in the vehicle.  During conversations with Garrison, she
said that her male passenger started freaking out when he kicked the
back of her seat and told her to drive.  Further conversations with
Garrison, she said that she dropped him off somewhere, but she does not
remember the location.  Garrison was taken into custody without
incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Emiliano Roberto Lovato,
36, of Kingman, Friday (3/13) evening on a probation violation felony
warrant for aggravated DUI issued by Mohave County Superior Court on
8-1-05.  Approximately 10:33 p.m., deputies make contact with Lovato in
the area of Northern Avenue and Bond Street.  A record check showed
Lovato to have an outstanding warrant.  Lovato was taken into custody
without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail.

WARRANT ARRESTS – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Adam Scott Curry, 28, of
Kingman, Thursday (3/12) afternoon on a drug paraphernalia violation
felony warrant and a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant, both
warrants issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Curry was also cited for
driving with a suspended driver’s license, a misdemeanor.
Approximately 1:45 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area
of Eagle Drive and Dove Lane.  Deputies contacted Curry, the driver.  A
record check showed Curry to have a suspended driver’s license and two
outstanding warrants.  Curry was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  The vehicle
was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARRESTS – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ronnie Paul Allen, 28, of
Lake Havasu City, early Thursday (3/12) evening on two failure to pay
fines misdemeanor warrants; the warrants were issued by Kingman Justice
Court and Lake Havasu City Municipal Court.  Approximately 6:28 p.m.,
deputies make contact with Allen in the 100 block of Wayfarer.  A record
check showed Allen to have outstanding warrants.  Allen was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation. 

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/ WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Nancy Kaye Aguilar, 39, of
Kingman, Thursday (3/12) evening for possession of drug paraphernalia,
felony, along with driving on a suspended license and a contempt of
court warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court, both misdemeanors.
Approximately 9:23 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a speeding
vehicle in the 6100 block of Bull Mountain Road and contacted Aguilar,
the driver.  A record check showed Aguilar to have a suspended
driver’s license and an outstanding warrant.  Aguilar was taken
into custody without incident.  Aguilar advised deputies that she has a
pipe in the vehicle after they questioned her about having any illegal
items.  Deputies located a glass pipe and a variety of drug
paraphernalia items inside a bag.  She was transported and booked into
the Mohave County Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kirt Michael Vankampen, 37,
of Mohave Valley, Thursday (3/12) morning on a misdemeanor warrant
issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court for issuing a bad check.  At
about 10:25 a.m., deputies observed a male subject on a property looking
suspicious when the subject appeared to be hiding from the deputy.  A
short time later, deputies contacted the subject as he reappeared and
was walking on Plantation Road near Oaktree.  The subject was identified
Vankampen.  During conversations with Vankampen, he said he was helping
the owner with work around the property.  A record check showed
Vankampen to have an outstanding warrant.  Vankampen was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District II Substation. 

WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Brian Lee Bentivegna, 42,
of Lake Havasu City, early Wednesday (3/11) evening on a failure to
appear misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.
Approximately 6:57 p.m., deputies make contact with Bentivegna in the
area of Chenoweth Drive and Valley Man.  A record check showed
Bentivegna to have an outstanding warrant.  Bentivegna was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation.

Arrests made for Prostitution

On Thursday, March 12, at 2:00pm, Kingman Police Detectives arrested Maricella Crystal Pacheco, 21 of Kingman, and Paul James Flores, 34 of Kingman, on a Class 1 Misdemeanor charge of Prostitution and a Class 3 Misdemeanor charge of Facilitation.  Detectives had obtained information of solicitation of prostitution on the internet.  On Thursday afternoon detectives arranged a “meeting” with Pacheco at a local motel in the 3100blk. E. Andy Devine Ave.    Upon her arrival Pacheco was taken into custody as was her boyfriend Flores.  Flores had  allegedly driven Pacheco to the motel for the purpose of prostitution and provide her protection.  Both were taken into custody and ultimately booked into the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David Major, 54, of San
Bernardino, Calif., on a probation violation felony warrant issued by
Mohave County Superior Court on 6-26-03 for an original charge of
aggravated DUI.  Wednesday (3/11) afternoon, at about 1:38 p.m.,
deputies responded to the Mohave County District II Substation to arrest
a fugitive who had been extradited from California.  Major was arrested
and booked into the jail without incident.

WARRANT ARRESTS – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Rodney Martin Lockhart, 46,
and Lois Anne Lockhart, 47, both of Lake Havasu City, early Wednesday
(3/11) evening.  Rodney Lockhart was arrested for failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.  Lois
Lockhart was arrested for failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant
issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court.  Approximately 7:38 p.m.,
deputies contacted Rodney Lockhart and Lois Lockhart during a traffic
stop in the 3100 block of Sombrero.  A record check showed them each to
have an outstanding warrant.  Rodney Lockhart and Lois Lockhart were
taken into custody without incident.  They were transported and booked
into the Mohave County District III Substation.  The driver was issued a
citation for no valid driver’s license.  The vehicle was towed from
the scene.

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Peter Andrew Stanley, 25,
of Lake Havasu City, early Wednesday (3/10) evening for possession of
marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors.
Approximately 5:20 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle
for driving in the opposing lane of traffic in the 3400 block of
Shoshone.  As deputies contacted Stanley, the driver, they observed him
making a motion as if he was concealing something.  Deputies had Stanley
exit the vehicle.  Deputies questioned Stanley and he said that he has a
weed pipe in his pocket.  Deputies took possession of the pipe which had
burnt residue in the bowl.  Deputies further questioned Stanley about
what he was doing when the deputy approached the vehicle.  Stanley
advised deputies that he had put some weed in the driver’s side door.
Stanley was taken into custody without incident.  Deputies confiscated
the plastic bag containing marijuana from the side door panel.  Stanley
was cited and released at the scene.  The vehicle was towed from the
scene.

EXTREME DUI – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kyle Gregory Barnett, 25,
of Riverside, Calif., Tuesday (3/10) evening for DUI, DUI with a blood
alcohol concentration over .08% and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .15%, misdemeanors.  Approximately 9:50 p.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 2900 block of Cisco and
contacted Barnett, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on
Barnett.  During conversations with Barnett, he said that he has not
been drinking.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Barnett
was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District III
Substation where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration
(BAC) to be .165%.  He was booked into the jail without incident.  The
vehicle was towed from the scene.

BURGLARY/TRESPASSING/TRAFFICKING STOLEN PROPERTY/THEFT – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Darald Wayne Dreier, 36,
of Kingman, Monday (3/9) afternoon for criminal trespassing, burglary,
trafficking stolen property and theft, felonies.  Detectives make an
arrest in an on-going investigation that began January 22, 2009, when a
residence was burglarized in the 1400 block of Hualapai Road in the
Hualapai Mountains.  The 70-year-old male victim reported more than
$5,000 worth of tools was stolen.  During the investigation, detectives
learned that Dreier had sold some of the reported stolen items to a
third party.  The victim was contacted by the third party and the victim
identified the items as his property.  On February 27, 2009, the victim
advised detectives that he located some of his reported stolen items at
a residence in the 1000 block of Lynette Drive.  Detectives responded to
the scene where the items were returned to the victim.  At about 2:00
p.m., detectives contacted Dreier at a residence in the 1000 block of
Lynette Drive where he was taken into custody.  He was transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail.  This investigation continues.


DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – DOLAN SPRINGS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Timothy John Vickers, 44,
of Meadview, early Monday (3/9) morning for aggravated assault with a
deadly weapon per domestic violence and criminal damage per domestic
violence, felonies.  At about 11:00 p.m., deputies were traveling
southbound on Pierce Ferry Road when they pulled into the Dolan Springs
Chamber of Commerce parking lot and observed two vehicles follow them
into the parking lot.  Deputies contacted a female and male subject in a
red vehicle.  The female subject said that Vickers, her ex-boy friend,
ran his vehicle into her vehicle as they were traveling south on Pierce
Ferry Road.  Deputies contacted the witness, the male subject riding
with the female.  The witness said that Vickers rammed his vehicle into
their vehicle and caused them to go off the roadway.  Deputies observed
substantial damage to the red vehicle and slight damage to the gray
vehicle which Vickers was driving.  Deputies contacted Vickers.  During
conversations with Vickers, he said that his ex-girlfriend rammed into
his car as she was passing his vehicle.  Vickers was taken into custody
without incident.  Later, Vickers advised that he never hit the right
side of her car, just the left side.  He was transported and booked into
the Mohave County Jail.  Vickers vehicle was towed from the scene.

DUI – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David Wayne Nail, 37, of
Oklahoma City, Ok., early Tuesday (3/10) morning for DUI and DUI with a
blood alcohol concentration over .08%, misdemeanors.  Deputies observed
a vehicle speeding at 67 miles per hour in a posted 35 mph zone.
Approximately 12:20 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3300
block of Northern Avenue and contacted Nail, the driver.  Deputies
observed Nail to have glossy watery eyes and slurred speech.  During
conversations with Nail, he admitted to drinking a six pack of beer.
Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Nail was taken into
custody and transported to the Mohave County Jail where an analysis
revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .148%.  He was
booked into the jail without incident.  The vehicle was towed from the
scene.

WARRANT ARREST – DOLAN SPRINGS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Peter A Bechamp, 48, of
Dolan Springs, early Tuesday (3/10) evening on a marijuana violation
misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Approximately 5:00
p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on 17th Street near Laurel and
contacted Bechamp.  A record check showed Bechamp to have an outstanding
warrant.  Bechamp was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

DRUGS – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Donald Eddie Manseau Jr.,
19, of Kingman, early Wednesday (3/11) morning for possession of
marijuana, a felony.  At about 12:17 a.m., while deputies were
patrolling the area of Norrie Drive and McVicar Avenue, they contacted
two people sitting in a parked vehicle.  Deputies immediately smelled an
odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  Deputies questioned both
occupants about having any marijuana and they both said no.  Deputies
located marijuana residue and leaves in the glove box, on the dash
board, on the center console, inside the center console and marijuana
seeds inside a cup holder.  Manseau was taken into custody without
incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.

FALSE REPORT/WARRANTS ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ronnie Daniel Wilson, 24,
of Kingman, early Saturday (3/7) evening on a felony parole violation
issued out of Department of Corrections in California, along with false
reporting to law enforcement officer and a failure to appear warrant
issued by Kingman Justice Court, both misdemeanors.  During a follow-up
investigation, at about 5:11 p.m., deputies contacted two male subjects
standing outside.  Deputies knew one of the male subjects and other male
subject introduced himself using a false name.  A computer check showed
the male subject used a false name.  Later, deputies learned the male
subjects name to be Wilson.  A record check showed Wilson to have
outstanding warrants.  Wilson was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

SEARCH AND RESCUE – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Units responded early
Tuesday (3/10) morning to a missing elderly male suffering from
dementia.  The reporting party said that she had last seen her husband,
Charles Wands, 78, at their residence in the 5300 block of Chino Drive
at 10:30 p.m. Monday (3/9) evening when they went to bed.  The reporting
party further said that she woke up at 11:30 p.m. and Wands was gone.
Kingman and Bullhead Search and Rescue Units were deployed.  At about
4:51 a.m., the missing subject was located approximately 200 yards from
his residence in the desert wandering around.  Wands was in good
condition and he was taken to his residence. 

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michelle Rae Traskell, 31,
of Kingman, early Saturday (3/7) afternoon on a probation violation
felony warrant by Mohave County Superior Court and false report to law
enforcement officer, a misdemeanor. Approximately 12:45 p.m., deputies
contacted Traskell during a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Butler
Avenue.  The female passenger initially identified herself as someone
else.  A short time later, deputies learned of the female passenger’s
identity to be Traskell.  A record check showed Traskell to have an
outstanding warrant.  Traskell was taken into custody without incident.
She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

SEX OFFENSE – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Richard Gerald Livingston,
25, of Bullhead City, Saturday (3/7) evening for sexual conduct with a
minor, felony.  Early Thursday (3/5) morning, deputies contacted the
reporting party, the victims’ mother.  The reporting party said that
her 16-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted by Livingston, a
family friend.  Upon further investigations, deputies learned the
incident occurred in Livingston’s vehicle in the area of the 10000
block of Oak Tree Drive.  Deputies attempted to locate Livingston
without success.  At about 10:00 p.m., deputies contacted Livingston at
a residence in the 400 block of Lee Avenue in Bullhead City.  Livingston
was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II without incident.

WARRANTS ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Shawn David Angel, 38, of
Phoenix, late Sunday (3/8) morning on a failure to pay fines felony
warrant and a DUI misdemeanor warrant; both warrants issued by Bullhead
City Justice Court.  Approximately 11:06 a.m., deputies contacted Angel
during a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Levee Drive.  A record check
showed Angel to have outstanding warrants.  Angel was taken into custody
without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation.  The driver was issued a warning for speeding.

AGGRAVATED DUI – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Darlene Elaine Maphis, 51,
of Kingman, early Sunday (3/8) evening for aggravated DUI, a felony.
Approximately 5:57 p.m., deputies responded to an accident in the 4900
block of Edie Drive.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting
party.  The reporting party said that she heard a loud boom and when she
looked outside she observed a female in a blue truck in front of her
house.  The reporting party further said that she observed her wooden
fence had been run into by the truck along with two mailboxes.  Deputies
contacted the female driver of the truck identified as Maphis.  Deputies
smelled an odor of alcohol on Maphis.  During conversations with Maphis,
she admitted to having been drinking throughout the day.  A record check
revealed Maphis to have a suspended driver’s license for a prior DUI.
Maphis was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Jail
where an analysis revealed her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be
.225%.  She was booked into the jail without incident.  The vehicle was
towed from the scene.

RECOVERED VEHICLE – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Zachary Tyler Gaston, 23,
of Kingman, Sunday (3/8) evening for possession of stolen property,
felony.  Deputies were forced to slam on their brakes as they were
traveling in their patrol vehicle east on Northern Avenue, crossing the
intersection of Bank Street, when a green truck traveling the opposite
direction turned in front of them, left onto Bank Street.  Approximately
8:20 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop and contacted Gaston, the
driver.  A computer check showed the green 1993 Dodge truck had been
reported stolen out of Kingman on 1-18-09.  During conversations with
Gaston, he said that he borrowed the truck from a friend on Saturday.
Gaston was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the
scene.

Felony DUI

On Monday, March 8, at about 5:40pm, Kingman Police arrested Colton Ron Selana, 34 of Peach Springs, on three felony charges of Aggravated DUI.   Officers responded to a report of a man sleeping behind the steering wheel of a vehicle at a gas station in the 3200blk Stockton Hill Rd.   Officers found Selana apparently intoxicated and passed out behind the wheel of his car.   Selana’s two young daughters were also in the car.  Selana’s license was suspended and he had two misdemeanor warrants for his arrest.   Selana was booked into the Mohave County Jail.  The three felony charges stem from Selana’s license being suspended for a previous DUI and each of the young girls in the vehicle while DUI is a felony count.

Warrants, Marijuana & Paraphernalia Arrest

On Friday, March 6, at about 4pm, Kingman Police arrested Mark Roger Brassil, 50 of Kingman, on a felony warrant and felony charges of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Brassil was the driver of a vehicle stopped in the 3700blk. Willow St. for a traffic offense.   Brassil was found to have a felony warrant for Failure to Appear issued out of Kingman Justice Court.  During his arrest he was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia.  Brassil was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

On Saturday, March 7, at 1:15am Kingman Police arrested Juan Dios Vejar, 26 of Mexico, on felony charges of Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, in addition to a immigration hold issued by the Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE).  Also arrested was Nicole Lynn Gomez, 23 of Kingman, on felony charges of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.   Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 2200blk Hualapai Mountain Rd. where Vejar and Gomez were contacted.     Both were booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Todd Gene Hornback, 34, of
Golden Valley, early Saturday (3/7) morning for possession of drug
paraphernalia, felony, and a failure to appear misdemeanor warrant
issued by Kingman Justice Court. Approximately 12:05 a.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Morenci.  Deputies
contacted the driver and passenger.  A record check showed Hornback, the
passenger, to have an outstanding warrant.  Hornback was taken into
custody without incident.  Hornback was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail.  During the booking process a glass pipe with
residue was located in Hornback’s jacket pocket.  The driver was cited
and released for speeding, no current registration, no vehicle insurance
and a repair order.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

AGGRAVATED DUI/DRUGS – LITTLEFIELD (AZ STRIP)
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Corey Henderson, 26, of
North Las Vegas, Nevada, late Friday (3/6) evening for aggravated DUI
and possession of marijuana, felonies.  Deputies observed a vehicle
traveling in the slow lane northbound on Interstate 15 at a high rate
and drifting into the fast lane.  Approximately 11:35 p.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop at milepost 18 and contacted Henderson, the
driver.  Deputies smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
Deputies questioned Henderson about the marijuana and Henderson said
it’s under the driver’s seat.  Henderson was taken into custody
without incident.  Deputies located a plastic bag of marijuana under the
seat.  During conversations with Henderson, he said that he recently
smoked some marijuana.  A record check showed Henderson to have a
suspended driver’s license for failing to appear in September 2008 in
Nevada.  Henderson was transported and booked into the Mesquite City
Jail.   A sample of Henderson’s urine was collected for analysis.  The
vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Debra Ann Gallardo, 36, of
Fort Mohave, early Saturday (3/7) morning on a fugitive from justice
felony failure issued out of Day County Superior Court in South Dakota
on original charge of removal of child from state.  Webster Police
Department in South Dakota advised MCSO deputies of a runaway juvenile.
The 15-year-old female juvenile left South Dakota with her non-custodial
mother on March 1st and they may be at a residence in Fort Mohave.
Miller is wanted for taking the child.  Approximately 3:41 a.m.,
deputies contacted Miller at a residence in the 5600 block of Stony
Drive and took her into custody without incident.  The juvenile was also
taken into custody without incident.   Miller was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II Substation.  The juvenile was
transported and booked into Mohave County Juvenile Detention Facility.

 
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Thomas Joseph Hennessey,
40, of Fort Mohave, Saturday (3/7) morning for aggravated harassment per
domestic violence, a felony.  Thursday (3/5), at about 1:00 p.m.,
deputies responded to a contempt of court incident at a residence in the
1600 Plantation Road and contacted the female victim.  The victim
reported that she has an order of protection against her ex-husband,
Hennessey.  The victim further reported that Hennessey sent her a
message via the computer late Wednesday (3/4) evening.  Deputies
reviewed the message and confirmed the order of protection indicates
that Hennessey is restrained of any communication.  Approximately 7:47
a.m., deputies contacted Hennessey at a residence in the 2000 block of
Utah Place in Fort Mohave.  Hennessey was taken into custody without
incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District
II Substation.

SEARCH AND RESCUE – WIKIEUP     
Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Units were deployed early
Saturday (3/7) afternoon to recover a body of a mountain climber in a
canyon south of Highway 93 near milepost 134.  A group of five people,
out of the Phoenix area, were hiking and mountain climbing near Kaiser
Springs Canyon when the accident occurred.  Scott Robert Olsen, 20,
climbed up a canyon wall about 600 feet and on his way down he fell
approximately 300 feet.  Olsen did not survive the fall.  Bullhead City
Search and Rescue Technical Rope Team along with Arizona Department of
Public Safety Air Rescue Ranger short hauled the victim from the edge of
the canyon.  The medical examiner declared the victim deceased at the
scene.

SEXUAL ABUSE – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Beau Daniel Moreno, 21,
of Lake Havasu City on Friday (3/6) for five charges of sexual abuse,
felonies.  Approximately 10:30 am, after an interview in which he
confessed to his involvement, Moreno was taken into custody without
incident.  During an on-going investigation that began on February 20,
2009, detectives learned of two juvenile female victims.  Other possible
victims are currently being interviewed by detectives and additional may
be pending.  Moreno was booked into the Mohave County District III
Sub-station.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tony Gortariz Jr., 24, of
Kingman on Thursday (3/5) evening for an outstanding felony warrant.
Approximately 5:00 pm, deputies contacted Gortariz in the 3700 block of
John L Avenue.  A record check showed Gortariz to have a felony warrant
for failure to appear issued by Mohave County Superior Court.  Gortariz
was taken into custody without incident.  Gortariz was transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail.

MARIJUANA POSSESSION – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Larry Lowell Nelson, 47, of
Kingman on Thursday (3/5) night for possession of marijuana, a felony
and for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.  Approximately 8:00 pm,
deputies contacted Nelson in the area of Norrie Drive and Devlin.  A
record check showed Nelson to have a warrant for failure to pay fines
issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Nelson was taken into custody without
incident.  During a search, deputies located marijuana inside Nelson’s
coat pocket.  Nelson was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Allen Eaton, 21, of
Golden Valley on Thursday (3/5) morning for trespassing, a misdemeanor
and for several outstanding misdemeanor warrants.  Approximately 7:00
am, deputies responded to a call in the area of Norrie Drive and Potter.
 Deputies contacted a male subject identified as Eaton.  While deputies
were speaking with Eaton, he began to run into the yard of a nearby
residence.  Eaton was taken into custody without incident.  A record
check showed Eaton to have a misdemeanor warrant for shoplifting and
three misdemeanor warrants for interfering with judicial proceedings,
all issued by Kingman Municipal Court.  Eaton was transported and booked
into the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joseph Edmund Tyree, 54 and
Sheryl Lynn Fetters, 51, both of Kingman on Thursday (3/5) night for
outstanding misdemeanor warrants.  Approximately 9:30 pm, deputies
responded to a call in the 1000 block of Mary Lynn Lane.  Deputies
contacted Tyree and Fetters inside a travel trailer on the property.  A
record check showed Tyree to have two warrants for failure to pay fines
issued by Kingman Municipal Court and Fetters to have a warrant for
failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Both Tyree and
Fetters were taken into custody without incident.  Tyree and Fetters
were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

SEX OFFENSE – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Daniel Delagarza III, 22,
of Glendale, Wednesday (3/4) afternoon for sexual conduct with a minor,
felony.  Saturday (2/14) afternoon, deputies contacted the reporting
party, the victims’ mother.  The reporting party said that her
9-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted by Delagarza, her
step-father.  Upon further investigations, detectives learned the
incident occurred at a residence in the 7100 block of Aquarius Drive
within the last 3 months.  At about 3:46 p.m., detectives took Delagarza
into custody during a traffic stop on Highway 93 at milepost 126 in
Wikieup.  Delagarza was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jose German Pina-Hernandez,
29, of Las Vegas, Nevada, early Thursday (2/26) evening.  Approximately
5:20 p.m., deputies observed 2 quads traveling north on Ranchero and
then turn east onto Old West.  Deputies followed the quads and contacted
both operators when they stopped near a residence.  A record check
showed one of the operators identified as Pina-Hernandez to have a
suspended driver’s license.  Pina-Hernandez was taken into custody
without incident.  Pina-Hernandez was transported to Mohave County
District II Substation.  With the assistance of Border Patrol,
Pina-Hernandez was determined to be an illegal immigrant.  Border Patrol
later took custody Pina-Hernandez.  The vehicle was towed from the
scene.

SUSPENDED LICENSE – SCENIC (AZ STRIP)
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tamera Jeanne Rollins, 25,
of Scenic, early Saturday (2/28) evening for driving with a suspended
license, misdemeanor.  Approximately 6:23 p.m., deputies conducted a
traffic stop on a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed southbound
on Scenic Boulevard at milepost 2.  Deputies contacted Rollins, the
driver.  A record check showed Rollins driver’s license to be
suspended.   Rollins was taken into custody without incident.  She was
transported and booked into the Mesquite City Jail.   The vehicle was
towed from the scene.

 

WARRANTS ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested William Joseph Rudloff, 39,
of Kingman, Wednesday (3/4) evening on outstanding warrants.
Approximately 8:15 p.m., deputies contacted Rudloff riding a bicycle on
Swan Drive at Lark Lane.  A record check showed Rudloff to have an
escape felony warrant issued out of Olympia Washington Department of
Corrections on 10-27-00 and two contempt of court misdemeanor warrants
both issued by Kingman Municipal Court.  Rudloff was taken into custody
without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Lonnie Sowder, 33, of
Bullhead City, Wednesday (3/4) evening on a contempt of court
misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court on 12-24-08.
Approximately 8:17 p.m., deputies contacted Sowder during a traffic stop
at Lipan and Highway 95.  A record check showed Sowder to have
outstanding warrant.  Sowder was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation. 

RECOVERED VEHICLE – BEAVER DAM (AZ STRIP)     
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mason Blair Mireles, 18, of
Mesquite, Nevada, Wednesday (3/5) afternoon for possession of a stolen
vehicle, a felony.  At about 2:20 p.m., deputies contacted a male
subject sitting in a vehicle.  The male subject waved for the deputy to
stop as the deputy was turning south onto Highway 91.  The male subject,
later identified as a 44-year-old victim, said that he reported his red
2004 quad stolen earlier that morning to MCSO.  The victim further said
that his quad was parked on the side of Highway 91 as he pointed to a
quad.  Deputies contacted a male subject, later identified as Mireles,
as he was sitting on the quad.  During conversations Mireles, he said
that he found the vehicle located between a camp trailer and a house.  A
computer check showed the victim to be the owner of the vehicle.
Mireles was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and
booked into the Mesquite Jail.

Vehicle Burglary Arrest

On Thursday, March 4, at about 12:00am, Kingman Police arrested Adam Christian Warren, 33 of Kingman, on the felony charge of Vehicle Burglary.  Officers had responded to a reported vehicle burglary in progress at a hotel in the 1700blk Sycamore Ave.  Warren was seen breaking into the car of a hotel occupant.  Warren was seen leaving the area on foot.   Officers located Warren at a nearby convenience store where he was found to be in possession of an item reportedly stolen from the car.  Warren was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

SEARCH WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET) detectives
arrested Curtis David Cummins, 50, of Kingman, Tuesday (3/3) afternoon
for possession for sale of dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous
drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, all
felonies.  Approximately 3:00 p.m., MAGNET executed a search warrant in
the 1900 block of Miami with the assistance of Gang Intelligence and
Team Enforcement Mission (GITEM) and an officer from Department of
Public Safety.  The search revealed methamphetamine, marijuana, drug
paraphernalia and a ledger.  Cummins was taken into custody without
incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE/CRIMINAL TRESPASSING – COLORADO CITY (ARIZONA STRIP)
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Richard Clarence Jessop,
37, and Thomas L Jessop, 21, both of Colorado City, Tuesday (3/3)
afternoon.  Richard Jessop was arrested for criminal damage, felony, and
criminal trespassing, misdemeanor.  Thomas Jessop was arrested for
criminal trespassing, misdemeanor.  Late Monday (3/2) evening, at about
11:30 p.m., dispatch informed MCSO deputies of trespassing in progress
at a farm off of Airport Road.  MCSO deputies contacted the reporting
party.  The reporting party said that around 11:00 p.m., he observed
people plowing and tilling his fields.  The reporting party further said
that an Officer from the Colorado City Marshal’s Office responded and
he told the subjects to stop using the tractors and to leave the area.
The reporting party advised that the officer questioned him about who
owned the property and he informed the officer that he leased the
property.  The reporting party further advised that the officer appeared
to be more concerned about the court order rather than the criminal act
that was taking place.  The victim stated that the Colorado City
Marshal’s officer failed to do their job and that’s when he called
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.  During a follow-up investigation,
MCSO deputies responded to the farm Tuesday (3/3) afternoon and
contacted the reporting party.  The reporting party estimated damage to
his crops was well over $10,000. While MCSO deputies were speaking with
the reporting party, in the middle of a field, they observed two
tractors enter the property and began plowing.  MCSO deputies got into
their patrol unit where they drove past the lead tractor and exited
their vehicle.  A MCSO deputy stood to the side of the oncoming tractor
with his hand up in an attempt to stop the operator, but the operator
refused to stop and continued traveling.  The MCSO deputy got back into
his patrol unit and drove past the tractor again.  The tractor came to a
stop approximately 20 feet in front of the MCSO deputy where he stood
motioning the operator to stop.  MCSO deputies observed the second
tractor as it stopped behind the lead tractor.  MCSO deputies contacted
the operator of the lead tractor.  The operator was uncooperative and he
would not identify himself or turn the engine off.  The operator, later
identified as Richard Jessop, continued to refuse to answer MCSO
deputy’s questions.  At about 2:05 p.m., Richard Jessop was taken
into custody without incident.  The second tractor operator was
contacted and identified as Thomas Jessop.  Thomas Jessop was cited and
released at the scene.  Richard Jessop was transported and booked into
the Mohave County Jail.  The tractors were moved from the property.
 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Louis Daniel Chimento IV,
18, of Lake Havasu City, late Tuesday (3/3) afternoon on a felony
failure to appear warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court on
2-27-09.  Approximately 4:41 p.m., deputies contacted Chimento at a
residence in the 3700 block of Outpost Drive regarding his outstanding
warrant.  A record check confirmed Chimento’s active warrant.
Chimento was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Rodney Clark Riddle, 48,
and Scott Alan Smith, 44, both of Kingman, early Tuesday (3/3) evening.
Riddle was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, felony, and
driving with suspended license, misdemeanor.  Smith was arrested for
possession of marijuana, felony, and a failure to pay fines misdemeanor
warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court on 6-18-08.  Approximately 5:21
p.m., deputies observed a Pontiac Grand Am pull into a parking lot in
the 3300 block of Stockton Hill Road.  Deputies had knowledge that the
owner of the vehicle to have a suspended driver’s license.  Deputies
pulled near the vehicle and exited.  The driver of the Pontiac exited
the vehicle and walked toward the deputy.  The driver identified himself
as Riddle and he advised the deputy that he has a suspended license.
During conversations with Riddle, he said that he has a marijuana pipe
in his possession.  Deputies confiscated the pipe and observed burnt
marijuana residue inside the pipe. Riddle was taken into custody without
incident.  A record check confirmed Riddle’s driver’s license to be
suspended.  Deputies contacted the passengers inside the vehicle and a
record check showed one of the passengers, identified as Smith, to have
an outstanding warrant.  Smith was taken into custody without incident.
Deputies located a plastic bag of marijuana on the floorboard where
Smith was sitting.  Riddle and Smith were transported and booked into
the Mohave County Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene. 

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Iris Corinne Scerato, 58,
of Mohave Valley, Tuesday (3/3) evening for driving with suspended
license and a failure to appear warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice
Court, both misdemeanors.   Approximately 7:11 p.m., deputies conducted
a traffic stop in the area of Highway 95 and Courtwright.  Deputies
contacted the driver identified as Scerato.  A record check showed
Scerato to have a suspended driver’s license and an outstanding
warrant.  Scerato was taken into custody without incident.  She was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Roger Allan Young Jr., 19,
of Hesperia, Calif., Sunday (3/1) afternoon for possession of marijuana
and six counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.
Approximately 12:53 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 7800 block of
Teal Street regarding juveniles in the area with fire works and appeared
to have drugs.  Upon checking the area, deputies observed a large
firework in a gravel area next to a rear tire of a green four door
vehicle parked with a driver and passenger sitting inside.  Deputies
confiscated the unlit magician 9 shot firework.  Deputies contacted the
driver identified as Young.  During conversations with Young, he said
that he recently purchased fireworks in Nevada.  Deputies observed a
round glass tube approximately 3 inches in length lying on the back
passenger seat.  Deputies got consent from Young to search the vehicle.
The search revealed a yellow glass pipe with residue, a blue glass pipe
with residue, a white shopping bag containing a glass ash tray with
marijuana and stems, silver needle nose pliers with burnt rolling paper
and orange rolling papers.  During conversations with Young, he said
some of the items belonged to him.  Young was taken into custody without
incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District
II Substation.     

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/MINOR CONSUMPTION – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher Wesslle
Covington, 20, of Kingman, early Monday (3/2) morning for possession of
marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately
1:20 a.m., deputies responded to the 3800 block of Devlin Avenue in
reference to loud music.  Upon arrival, deputies located the house and
contacted the residents.  Deputies were allowed inside the house where
they smelled an odor of burnt marijuana.  Deputies contacted six people
at the residence and learned that they all had been drinking alcoholic
beverages.  Deputies determined three of the people were under the age
of 21.  Deputies observed scattered beer cans throughout the house and a
green water pipe containing burnt marijuana.  Deputies questioned the
group about anymore marijuana.  Covington advised deputies that his
marijuana is sitting on a table in the living room.  Deputies
confiscated approximately 6.9 grams of marijuana.  Covington was taken
into custody without incident.  Utilizing a portable breath analysis
test, the three juveniles showed a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of
.006, .017 and .026.  Each juvenile was released after they were cited
for minor consumption of alcohol, misdemeanor.  Deputies also contacted
Geoffrey Lee Baldwin, 26, of Kingman, and a record check showed him to
have a failure to appear misdemeanor warrant issued by Quartzsite
Justice Court.  Baldwin was taken into custody without incident.
Covington and Baldwin were transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail.


SEARCH AND RESCUE – LITTLEFIELD (ARIZONA STRIP)
Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Units were deployed early
Sunday (3/1) evening due to two subjects stranded on Elbow Canyon Road.
Amber Lei, 33, was self reporting via a cell phone that she and her
boyfriend, Jerry Spearn, 45, both of Beaver Dam, become stranded after
their truck slid off the road into the snow.  Apparently the couple was
site seeing when their left the roadway and slid into dangerous terrain.
 Early Monday (3/2) morning at about 12:05 a.m. SAR units located Lei
and Spearn in good condition, other than being cold.  The nearest town
was approximately 20 miles away.  Deputies observed the subjects’
truck was anchored to a tree by a rope to prevent the truck from sliding
down the mountain about 100 feet.  Lei and Spearn were transported to
Littlefield. 

WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kelly Roseann James, 45, of
Desert Hills, early Monday (3/2) afternoon on an outstanding warrant.
Approximately 12:57 p.m., deputies contacted James at a residence in the
3000 block of Erwin Lane.  A record check showed James to have a
fugitive from justice felony warrant issued out of Las Vegas
Metropolitan Police Department for forgery and burglary.   James was
taken into custody without incident.  She was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

WANTED SUSPECT ARRESTED IN CALIFORNIA
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives were notified on Tuesday, February
24th, by a Sergeant from San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office that a
wanted felon out of Mohave County was taken into custody.  Paul Allen
Sorensen, 49, of La Verkin, Utah, was wanted on a domestic violence
incident that occurred on January 5, 2009, where he held his estranged
wife captive for 24-36 hours at her residence in Cane Beds, Arizona,
where she was beaten.  Sorensen was extradited from California on Monday
(3/2) where he was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail
without incident.  Sorensen was arrested on a felony warrant issued by
Mohave County Superior Court on 1-29-09 with the following charges;
attempt to commit murder, five counts of aggravated assault per domestic
violence, kidnapping per domestic violence, threat/intimidate per
domestic violence, burglary and theft of means of transportation.

3X’S AGGRAVATED DUI – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Heather Lea Norris, 31, of
Kingman, Friday (2/27) evening for aggravated
DUI to the slightest with passenger under 15 years of age, aggravated
DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08% with passenger under 15
years of age and aggravated DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over
.15% with passenger under 15 years of age, all felonies.  Approximately
10:04 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of
Stockton Hill Road and contacted Norris, the driver.  Deputies smelled
an odor of alcohol on Norris.  During conversations with Norris, she
admitted to having been drinking earlier.  Deputies observed Norris’s
11-year-old son in the front passenger seat.  Following the field
sobriety tests (FST’s), Norris was taken into custody and transported
to the Mohave County Jail where an analysis revealed her blood alcohol
concentration (BAC) to be .160%.  She was booked into the jail without
incident.  Norris’s son was released to a family member.  The vehicle
was towed from the scene.

DUI – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ryan Patrick Maddox, 26, of
Lake Havasu City, Friday (2/27) evening for DUI, a misdemeanor.
Approximately 6:40 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 2500
block of Daytona and contacted Maddox, the driver.  Deputies smelled an
odor of alcohol on Maddox and observed Maddox to have slurred speech.
During conversations with Maddox, he admitted to have been drinking.
Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Maddox was taken into
custody and transported to the Mohave County District III Substation
where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be
.103%.  He was booked into the jail without incident.  The vehicle was
towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Oney Willis Turman, 27, of
Kingman, early Saturday (2/28) morning on a felony warrant for robbery
issued by Mohave County Superior Court on 1-22-09.  Approximately 1:23
a.m., deputies contacted Turman while he was walking south on Melody
Street near Butler Avenue.  A record check showed Turman to have an
outstanding warrant.  Turman was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.     

WARRANTS ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Stephen Shane Phillips, 22,
of Fort Mohave, Saturday (2/28) evening on child support nonpayment
felony warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court on 9-10-08, stolen
property felony warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court on
10-6-08, contempt of court misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City
Justice Court on 9-10-08 and failure to appear on a theft charge
misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court on 10-6-08.
Approximately 10:40 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at Camino
Viejo and Highway 95.  Deputies contacted Phillips, the driver.  A
record check showed Phillips to have a suspended driver’s license and
outstanding warrants.  Phillips was taken into custody without incident.
 Phillips was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation.  Phillips was also cited for driving with a suspended
driver’s license.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

MARIJUANA – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Austin Glenn Linton, 18, of
Fort Mohave, early Sunday (3/1) morning for possession of marijuana and
possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 12:10 a.m.,
deputies contacted Linton while he was walking on Gordon Drive at Teal
Street.  Deputies observed Linton holding an open alcoholic beverage can
in his possession.  Linton was taken into custody without incident.  A search of Linton
revealed a glass pipe with marijuana residue in the bowl.
Linton was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation.     

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Richard Felix Bartlett, 20,
of Lake Havasu City, Friday (2/27) evening on a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court.
Approximately 10:22 p.m., deputies contacted Bartlett during a traffic
stop on Honey Bear at Daniel.  Deputies recognized Bartlett and knew
that he had an active warrant. 
A record check confirmed Bartlett’s outstanding warrant.  Bartlett
was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District III Substation. 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Phillip Facciuto, 28,
of Lake Havasu City, Friday (2/28) evening on a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.
Approximately 10:06 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Mulberry
near McCulloch for the vehicle failing to yield to several pedestrians
crossing McCulloch.  Deputies contacted the driver and passenger.  A
record check showed Facciuto, the passenger, to have an outstanding
warrant.  Facciuto was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.
The driver was given a warning.

INJURY ACCIDENT/ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two vehicle injury
accident that occurred on Estrella Road, near Abrigo Drive, Sunday
(3/1)) evening.  At about 7:55 p.m. deputies responded to the scene of
where a 2006 Toyota 4-Runner collided with a 1987 Honda scooter.  The
Toyota 4-Runner was driven by a single occupant identified as Kenneth
Eugene Brook, 71, of Golden Valley.  The Honda scooter was driven by
Darren Chris Payton, 23, with a passenger identified as Jenny Sue
Goodson, 28, both of Golden Valley.  Investigations determined that both
vehicles were traveling southbound on Estrella Road when the Toyota
collided with the Honda scooter.  Brook was not injured in the accident.
 Payton was treated and later released from Kingman Regional Medical
Center having only received minor injury.  Goodson was flown by Care
Flight helicopter to University Medical Center in Las Vegas for
treatment of possible head and spinal injuries.  Alcohol is not a factor
in this investigation.  This accident remains under investigation.  The
Honda scooter was towed from the scene.

During the course of conducting the traffic investigation, deputies
arrested a Golden Valley resident.  Angela Sue Perkins, 51, was arrested
for failure to comply with peace officer instruction, a misdemeanor.  A
section of Estrella Road was closed in the area of Abrigo Drive where
traffic cones, flares and Sheriff’s patrol vehicles were strategically
placed.  The roadway was illuminated with portable flood lights and
approximately four deputies were on foot investigating the scene.  At
about 9:20 p.m., a white Nissan Sentra drove around the barricade and
into the accident scene.  Deputies stopped the vehicle and contacted the
driver identified as Perkins.  Perkins was advised to drive along the
easement and stop at the next set of flares.  Deputies observed Perkins
continue to drive on the asphalt and continued past the flares without
stopping.  Deputies stopped the vehicle about ¼ mile past the accident
scene and took Perkins into custody without incident.  She was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  Perkins vehicle was
towed from the scene.

SEARCH WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Allan Lee Rawlings Jr., 45,
of Golden Shores, early Sunday (3/1) morning on a child support
nonpayment felony warrant issued by Pinal County Superior Court with a
$4,000 bond, a contempt of court felony warrant issued by Burnet County
Sheriff’s Office in Texas on original charges of evading arrest with a
vehicle/deadly weapon with $15,000 bond and a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court with a $2,500
bond.  Deputies attempted to make contact with Rawlings regarding his
outstanding warrants numerous times without success.  Approximately 6:15
a.m., deputies executed a search warrant at a residence in the 4500
block of Linden Drive where Rawlings was taken into custody without
incident.  Rawlings was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation.     

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robin Kawa Gonzales, 62, of
Mohave Valley, Friday (2/27) morning for possession of dangerous drugs,
possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, along with driving on a
suspended license and a failure to appear warrant issued by Bullhead
City Justice Court, both misdemeanors.  At about 7:45 a.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop at Plantation Drive at Harbor Avenue and
contacted Gonzales, the driver.  A record check showed Gonzales to have
a suspended driver’s license and an outstanding warrant.  Gonzales was
taken into custody without incident.  A search of the vehicle revealed
approximately 2 grams of a white crystal substance located in a plastic
bag.   During conversations with Gonzales, he said the white substance
is methamphetamine.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District II Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ignacio Edward Gomez, 33,
and Becky Anne Reid, 28, both of Golden Valley, early Friday (2/27)
evening.  Gomez was arrested on a felony warrant for criminal damage and
disorderly conduct issued by Kingman Justice Court with a $2,500 bond.
Reid was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, felony, and a
probation violation
misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court.  Approximately
5:30 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Milky Way Road, between
Chino Drive and Highway 68, and contacted Gomez, the driver.  A record
check showed Gomez to have an outstanding warrant.  Gomez was taken into
custody.  Deputies contacted the passenger identified as Reid and a
record check showed Reid to also have an outstanding warrant.  Reid was
taken into custody.  A search of Reid’s’ purse revealed two plastic
bags containing a white residue and a silver tablespoon with white
residue.  Gomez and Reid were transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail without incident.

Paraphernalia Arrest;

 On March 1st, 2009 at 11:00 pm a Kingman Police Officer conducted a traffic stop in the area Railroad Street and Ross Avenue for an equipment violation.  The driver Corey David Walker 18 year old white male of Kingman was contacted and the Officer immediately smelled Marijuana smoke coming from inside of the vehicle.  Corey admitted to having drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and was later booked for Felony Possession of Drug paraphernalia.

 Drug Paraphernalia;

On February 28th, 2009 a Kingman Patrol Officer was conducting follow up in reference to a possible Fraud.  The Officer contacted suspect Christopher Manuel Lozoya  26 years of age from Kingman who matched up to a surveillance video at a local department store where fraudulent purchases were made with a stolen credit card.  Lozoya admitted to his involvement and the credit card was located in a field cut in two pieces.  Christopher Lozoya was booked for Felony Fraud.
