TRESPASSING – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Daniel Dee Lambert, 35, of
Kingman, early Wednesday (1/30) afternoon for trespassing, felony.
Approximately 1:00 p.m., deputies responded to a trespassing call in the
2600 block of John L Avenue.  Dispatch advised deputies that people were
in the house and no one was suppose to be there.  Upon arrival, deputies
contacted a male subject standing in front of the residence.  The male
subject said that he was staying at the residence with his friend
Lambert.  Deputies contacted Lambert inside the residence.  During
conversations with Lambert, he said that he was exercising his
squatters’ rights by staying at the residence.  Further conversations
with Lambert, he said the caretaker of the residence still owed him
money for work that he performed in the past.  Deputies contacted the
caretaker.  The caretaker said that Lambert does not have permission to
stay on the property.  The caretaker further said that Lambert was paid
for all the work that he performed.  Deputies contacted the owner, a
51-year-old male victim.  The victim confirmed the caretakers’
statements.  Lambert was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dustin Deray Hudson, 23, of
Golden Shores, Wednesday (1/30) evening on a misdemeanor warrant for
failure to appear issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.  Approximately
10:22 p.m., deputies contacted Hudson as he was walking in the area of
Highway 95 and milepost 235.  A records check showed Hudson to have an
outstanding warrant.  Hudson was taken into custody.  He was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation without
incident. 

WARRANTS ARREST – DAVIS CAMP (BULLHEAD CITY)
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mark T. Marquis, 50, of
Lake Havasu City, early Thursday (1/31) morning on two misdemeanor
warrants; both for failure to pay fines issued by Lake Havasu City
Justice Court and Bullhead City Justice Court.  While deputies were
patrolling Davis Camp at about 2:20 a.m., they observed a vehicle parked
without a permit.  Deputies observed a subject inside a sleeping bag on
the table of space number 6.  Deputies contacted the subject identified
as Marquis.  A records check showed Marquis to have outstanding
warrants.  Marquis was taken into custody without incident.   He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kelly Claire Mallicoat, 43,
of Fort Mohave, Monday (1/28) evening on a misdemeanor warrant for
issuing a bad check issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.
Approximately 10:25 p.m., deputies contacted Mallicoat at a residence in
the 4300 block of El Toro Drive regarding her outstanding warrant.
Mallicoat was taken into custody without incident.  She was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation

HOMICIDE SUSPECTS ARRESTED
   Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested two suspects on
1st degree murder charges in connection with the murder of Anthony Ray
Martin Jr., 28, of Kingman, Arizona. 
   On December 4th, 2007, deputies responded to the scene at about 3:32
p.m. where they spoke with the reporting party who discovered Martin’s
body as they were passing by.  Martin was located lying off the roadway
of N Bank Street near Cactus Wren, approximately 5 miles north of
Kingman.  Autopsy results determined the victim died of multiple gun
shot wounds. 
   Late Tuesday (1/29) afternoon Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives
arrested John Leland Neal Jr., 19, of Grand Junction, Colorado.  At
about 4:00 p.m., Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives along with the
Grand Junction Police Department’s SWAT team surrounded a residence in
the 1900 block of North 4th Street in Grand Junction and took Neal into
custody without incident.  Neal was transported and booked into the Mesa
County Jail in Grand Junction on a felony warrant for 1st degree murder
issued by Kingman Justice Court with a million dollar bail amount.  Neal
is currently awaiting extradition.  Neal recently moved to Grand
Junction Colorado from Kingman, Arizona. 
   The second suspect is identified as Pasqual Sosimo Acuna, 18, of
Kingman.  Detectives contacted Acuna at the Mohave County Jail Wednesday
(1/30) morning and charged him with 1st degree murder.  Acuna was
incarcerated on January 7, 2008, for drive by shooting, 4 counts of
aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of dangerous drugs
and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Richard Allyn Welch, 34, of
Mohave Valley, Tuesday (1/29) morning on a misdemeanor warrant for
failure to pay fines issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.
Approximately 7:27 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5400
block of Highway 95 and contacted Welch, the driver.  A records check
showed Welch to have an outstanding warrant.  Welch was taken into
custody, transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation without incident. 

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Travis Heard, 21, of
Kingman, Wednesday (1/30) morning for an outstanding warrant.
Approximately 2:30 a.m., deputies contacted Heard during a traffic stop
in the area of Northern Avenue and Bond.  A records check showed Heard
to have a misdemeanor warrant for interfering with judicial proceedings
issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Heard was taken into custody without
incident.  Heard was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew Edward Dolch, 48,
of Lake Havasu City, early Wednesday (1/30) morning for an outstanding
warrant.  Approximately 2:18 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in
the area of Rainbow Drive and Papago.  Deputies contacted the driver,
identified as Dolch.  A records check showed Dolch to have a misdemeanor
warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Lake Havasu City Justice
Court.  Dolch was taken into custody without incident.  Dolch was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.


WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Melody Lynne Craig, 31, and
JJ Lavern Zumwalt, 37, both of Kingman.  On Tuesday (1/29), at
approximately 11:00 p.m., deputies contacted Craig and Zumwalt in the
2300 block of Suffock Avenue.  A records check showed Craig to have a
misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear issued by Kingman Municipal
Court.  A further check showed Zumwalt to have a misdemeanor warrant for
interfering with judicial proceedings issued by Kingman Justice Court.
Both Craig and Zumwalt were taken into custody without incident.  Craig
and Zumwalt were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Benny Lee Massey, 24, and
Edward Ernest Bell, 45, both of Fort Mohave, Tuesday (1/29) for domestic
violence/disorderly conduct, misdemeanors.  Approximately 4:00 p.m.,
deputies responded to a call in the 5000 block of La Calzada.  Deputies
contacted Bell who told deputies that he was involved in a verbal
altercation with Massey and he wanted him to leave the residence.  Bell
reported that Massey attempted to provoke a physical altercation.
Deputies contacted Massey who reported that during the incident, Bell
retrieved a hammer and motioned as if he was going to hit him.  Both
Massey and Bell were taken into custody without incident.  Massey and
Bell were transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation.

RESISTING ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Charlotte Marie Bowling,
35, of Desert Hills on Monday (1/28) for resisting arrest and aggravated
harassment, felonies.  Approximately 3:30 pm, deputies responded to a
call at a residence in the 1100 block of Vista Drive and contacted the
37 year-old female victim.  The victim reported that she had a valid
injunction prohibiting harassment against Bowling.  The victim told
deputies that Bowling had called her residence earlier in the day.  The
victim reported that a short time later, Bowling had come by the
residence and began yelling at her 14 year-old daughter.  Deputies
responded to Bowlings residence in the 1000 block of Vista Drive.
Deputies were unable to contact Bowling at that time.  Approximately
8:00 pm, deputies were able to contact Bowling at her residence.  While
speaking with Bowling, she became uncooperative and attempted to go back
inside her residence.  Deputies stopped Bowling from leaving.  As
deputies attempted to place Bowling into handcuffs, she began to pull
away and continued to resist.  After a brief struggle, Bowling was taken
into custody without further incident.  While being transported to the
jail, Bowling continued to be uncooperative and yell at officers.
Bowling was booked into the Mohave County District III Sub-station.

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dustin Drew Ashley, 21, of
Fort Mohave on Monday (1/28) for an outstanding felony warrant.
Approximately 8:30 pm, deputies contacted Ashley in the area of Highway
95 and Gemini.  A record check showed Ashley to have a warrant for
failure to appear issued by Mohave County Superior Court.  Ashley was
taken into custody without incident.  Ashley was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II Sub-station.

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joey Lively, 41, of Lake
Havasu City on Tuesday (1/29) for an outstanding warrant.  Approximately
1:00 am, deputies contacted Lively during a traffic stop in the area of
El Toro and Jamaica Blvd.  A record check showed Lively to have a
misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Lake Havasu City
Justice Court.  Lively was taken into custody without incident.  Lively
was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III
Sub-station.

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mattie Shil Sauceda, 21, of
Needles, CA., on Friday (1/25) evening for outstanding warrants.
Approximately 9:30 pm, deputies contacted Sauceda during a traffic stop
in the area of Highway 95 and Laguna.  A record check showed Sauceda to
have a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman
Justice Court and two misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear issued
by Bullhead City Justice Court.  Sauceda was taken into custody without
incident.  Sauceda was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Sub-station.

WARRANT ARREST – OATMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Russell Keith Touve, 50, of
Oatman on Saturday (1/26) morning for an outstanding misdemeanor
warrant.  Approximately 6:30 am, deputies contacted Touve in the 600
block of Oatman Road.   A record check showed Touve to have an active
warrant for failure to appear issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.
Touve was taken into custody without incident.  Touve was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station.

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jessica Jasmine Hanson, 26,
of Lake Havasu City on Sunday (1/27) for an outstanding misdemeanor
warrant.  Approximately 3:30 am, deputies contacted Hanson in the 3800
block of Outpost Drive.   A record check showed Hanson to have a warrant
for failure to pay fines issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.
Hanson was taken int
o custody without incident.  Hanson was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District III Sub-station.

BURGLARY – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Eugene Emery Cochran, 44
and Scott James Savold, 37, both of Bullhead City, on Friday (1/25)
afternoon for burglary, felonies.  Approximately 3:00 pm, deputies
responded to a call at a residence on Polaris Road regarding a possible
burglary in progress.  Deputies arrived at the residence and contacted
the male subjects, identified as Savold and Cochran.  Cochran and Savold
were taken into custody without incident.  During conversations with
Cochran and Savold, they advised they had permission from the owner to
remove scrap metal from the property.  Cochran and Savold stated that
while they were loading the metal into the truck, a neighbor approached
them and told them to leave the property.  Cochran and Savold told the
neighbor they had permission from the owner to be at the residence.
They advised they began to unload the metal from the truck at that time.
 Deputies contacted the neighbor who advised he witnessed Cochran and
Savold loading the metal into the truck. The neighbor told deputies that
Cochran and Savold told him they had permission.  When the neighbor
asked who gave them permission, Cochran and Savold gave them a name.
The neighbor stated the name Cochran and Savold gave him was not the
owner of the property.   A record check showed Cochran to have
misdemeanor warrants for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice
Court and a failure to appear warrant issued out of Maricopa County.  A
record check on Savold revealed him to have a misdemeanor warrant for
failure to appear issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court.  Both Cochran
and Savold were transported and booked into the Mohave County District
II Sub-station.

TRESPASSING – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Errin Thomas Fields, 23, of
Fort Mohave on Saturday (1/26) night for trespassing, a felony.
Approximately 11:30 pm, deputies responded to a call in the 4600 block
of La Riqueza Lane and contacted the 51 year-old female victim.  The
victim reported that a male subject had entered her residence without
permission.  A short time later, deputies contacted a male subject,
identified as Fields, in the area of La Riqueza and Aztec Drive.  During
conversations with Fields, he denied entering the residence.  Deputies
transported the female victim to the location where she identified
Fields as being the subject who entered her residence.  Fields was taken
into custody without incident.  Fields was transported and booked into
the Mohave County District II Sub-station.

DRUG PARAPHERANLIA – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Steven Paul Kugler, 48, of
Lake Havasu on Saturday (1/26) for possession of drug paraphernalia, a
felony.  Approximately 11:00 pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop in
the area of Highway 95 and North Palo Verde.  Deputies contacted the
driver, identified as Kugler.  A record check showed Kugler to have a
misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear issued by Lake Havasu City
Justice Court.  Kugler was taken into custody without incident.  Prior
to being towed, deputies conducted a search of the vehicle which
revealed a glass pipe with a white residue.  Kugler was transported and
booked into the Mohave County District III Sub-station.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Thomas Nez Jr., 27, of
Kingman on Sunday (1/27) night for domestic violence/assault,
misdemeanors.  Approximately 10:30 pm, deputies responded to a call in
the 3900 block of John L Avenue and contacted the 30 year-old female
victim.  The victim reported she went to speak with Nez at his residence
in the 3900 block of Ryan Avenue with her 12 year-old daughter.  The
victim reported while talking with Nez, he became upset and grabbed the
12 year-old by the arm and pulled her.  The victim told deputies that
Nez also grabbed her arm, leaving a bruise.  De
puties observed the
injury to the victim.  No injuries were observed on the 12 year-old.
Nez was contacted and denied touching the victims.  Nez was taken into
custody without incident.  Nez was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail.

DUI – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jose Jesus Serrano, 29, of
Topock on Saturday (1/26) for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .08% and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .15%, misdemeanors.  Approximately 12:30 am, deputies
observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of
Highway 95 at milepost 186.  Radar confirmed the vehicles speed to be 90
mph in a 45 mph zone.  Deputies conducted a traffic stop and contacted
the driver, identified as Serrano.  During conversations with Serrano,
he admitted to drinking.  Serrano refused field sobriety tests
(FST’s).  While speaking with Serrano, he advised deputies he was
in the United States illegally.  Serrano was taken into custody without
incident.  Serrano was transported to the Mohave County District III
Sub-station where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration
(BAC) to be .203%.  Serrano was booked on the above charges.  Deputies
contacted Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) regarding Serrano.
Serrano will be turned over to ICE.   

DUI – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Sergio Ramirez, 46, of Lake
Havasu City on Monday (1/28) for DUI and DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .08%, misdemeanors.  Approximately 2:00 am, deputies
conducted a traffic stop in the area of Rainbow and Acoma and contacted
the driver, identified as Ramirez.  During conversations with Ramirez,
deputies smelled a strong odor of alcohol.  Following field sobriety
tests (FST’s), Ramirez was taken into custody.  Ramirez was
transported to the Mohave County District III Sub-station where an
analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .134%.
Serrano was booked into the jail without incident. 

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Gene Ferrin, 237,
of Kingman on Friday (1/25) evening for two outstanding warrants.
Approximately 5:00 pm, deputies contacted Ferrin at a residence in the
3000 block of Butler Avenue.  A record check showed Ferrin to have a
felony warrant for failure to appear and a misdemeanor warrant for
failure to appear, both issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Ferrin was
taken into custody without incident.  Ferrin was transported and booked
into the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeffrey John Lussier, 37,
of Fort Mohave on Friday (1/25) morning for an outstanding warrant.
Approximately 7:30 am, deputies contacted Lussier in the area of
Mountain View Road and Joy Lane.  A record check showed Lussier to have
a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear issued by Bullhead City
Justice Court.  Lussier was taken into custody.  Lussier was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station.

WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Carl Wayne Venglar, 36, of
Lake Havasu City on Saturday (1/26) for an outstanding warrant.
Approximately 7:30 pm, deputies responded to a call in the 13100 block
of Sonita Road and contacted Venglar.  A record check showed Venglar to
have a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear issued by Lake Havasu
City Municipal Court.  Venglar was taken into custody without incident.
Venglar was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Sub-station.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Scott Edward Snavely, 30,
of Fort Mohave, Thursday (1/24) afternoon for aggravated assault,
felony.  Daniel McCluskie, 39, of Mohave Valley, was cited for assault,
misdemeanor.  Deputies contacted a reporting party who was reporting on
a delayed assault that occurred late Saturday (1/19) evening at her
residence in the 1500 block of Paseo Redondo Way.  The reporting party
further reported that two of her male friends identified as Snavely and
McCluskie got into a physical fight.  The following morning McCluskie
was taken to Valley View Medical Center where medical staff determined
McCluskies’ neck to have been broken.  Sunday (1/20) morning McCluskie
was airlifted to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas where he is
currently listed in good condition.  Deputies contacted McCluskie.
During conversations with McCluskie, he said that he and his friend
Snavely were drinking and an argument escalated into a fight after
Snavely pushed him.  Deputies contacted Snavely.  During conversations
with Snavely, he said that McCluskie burnt his neck with a cigarette and
he doesn’t remember much, but he knows that he hurt McCluskie.
Deputies observed a scabbed over burnt mark on Snavelys’ neck.  Upon
further investigations, deputies contacted Snavely at about 3:45 p.m. at
a residence in the 2000 block of Sandwedge Lane in Fort Mohave where he
was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

DRUGS PARAPHERNALIA – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Edith Tarr Gillen, 36, of
Kingman, late Thursday (1/24) afternoon for possession of drug
paraphernalia, felony.  Approximately 3:52 p.m., deputies responded to a
suspicious vehicle parked in the 3600 block of Adobe Road.  Upon
arrival, deputies contacted three occupants inside the vehicle.  Gillen
was identified as the owner of the vehicle.  During conversations with
Gillen, she said that she was walking her dog and they were picking up a
friend.  Deputies got consent to search Gillen’s purse.  Deputies
located a glass pipe with burnt residue which was wrapped in tissue
paper.  Further conversations with Gillen, she said that she found the
item in the desert.  Gillen was taken into custody without incident.
She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

WARRANTS ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lance Albert Booth, 22, of
Kingman, Thursday (1/24) evening on three warrants; a felony and two
misdemeanors all for failure to appear, all issued by Kingman Justice
Court.  Approximately 8:30 p.m., deputies contacted Booth in the area of
Northern Avenue and Van Nuys Road.  A records check showed Booth to have
outstanding warrants.  Booth was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

DRUGS/ DRUGS PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Charles Persons, 18,
of Fort Mohave, early Friday (1/25) morning for possession of marijuana
and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 12:00
a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Hammer Lane
and contacted Persons, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of
marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.  Persons exited the vehicle
per the deputy’s request.  A search of the vehicle located a plastic
bag containing marijuana and a glass pipe containing residue.  Persons
was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II Substation.  The vehicle was towed
from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Patrick Eugene Fisher, 34,
of Fort Mohave, early Friday (1/25) morning on a misdemeanor warrant for
failure to appear issued by Bullhead City Municip
al Court.
Approximately 3:08 a.m., deputies contacted Fisher in the 4800 block of
Calle Del Media.  A records check showed Fisher to have an outstanding
warrant.  Fisher was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

CRUELTY TO ANIMALS WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Peter Sessoyeff,
35, of Bullhead City, early Friday (1/25) morning on the following
misdemeanor warrants; animal-inflict physical injury issued by Kingman
Municipal Court, failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice Court
and failure to appear issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court.
Approximately 4:38 a.m., deputies responded to a suspicious call in the
3900 block of Lum Avenue.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted Sessoyeff.
A records check showed Sessoyeff to have outstanding warrants.
Sessoyeff was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported
and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

KINGMAN POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT: 

Arrest made in molest that occurred 7 ½ years ago

On Thursday, January 24, 2008, at about 10:45am, Kingman Police detectives arrested Brian Wayne Behznken, 28 of Kingman, on felony charges of Child Molestation and Sexual Misconduct with a Minor.  In December detectives began an investigation of an incident that is alleged to have occurred 7 ½ years ago wherein it is alleged that Behznken, then 21 years old, molested the then, 10 year old male victim.  The victim was an acquaintance of Behznken at the time of the incident.  The incident came to light recently when a third party overheard conversation of the alleged incident.  Behznken was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Shoplifting turned into felony Robbery charge

On Wednesday, January 24, 2008, at about 2:00pm Kingman Police arrested Robert Allen Eaton, 20 of Kingman, on charges of felony Robbery, Possession of Marijuana and a warrant for Probation Violation.  Officers responded to a store in the 3400blk Stockton Hill Rd. upon the report of a shoplifter having been captured and who was now fighting with store security.  Upon arrival Eaton was taken in to custody without incident.   Eaton was found to be in possession of marijuana and had a misdemeanor warrant for Probation Violation on a previous shoplifting conviction.  The investigation showed that Eaton had used force against store employees in the course of committing the theft; therefore he was charged with Robbery.   Eaton was booked into the Mohave County Jail.  No one was seriously injured in the incident.

 

Traffic stop results in felony drug arrest

On Wednesday, January 24, 2008, at about 9:50pm, Kingman Police arrested Elwood Eugene Face, 29 of Kingman, on charges of felony Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and misdemeanor charges of Driving on a Suspended License and three additional misdemeanor warrants.  Face was a driver of a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic offense on I-40 at mp51.  Face initially provided the officer with a false name; however his real name was discovered at which time he was taken into custody.   During his arrest he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia.  Face’s license was also found to be suspended.  He also had three warrants for his arrest on previous charges.   Face was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

RECOVERED PROPERTY – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joshua Michael Robbins, 19,
of Mohave Valley, Wednesday (1/23) evening for possession of stolen
property, felony.  Deputies were contacted by a 38-year-old female
victim.  The victim reported that she suspects that Robbins had taken
her blue BMX bike from her residence in Lake Havasu City.   The victim
further reported that she had contacted Lake Havasu Police Department to
make a report.   The victim further advised of a residence in Mohave
Valley where Robbins may be located.  Approximately 5:30 p.m., deputies
responded to a residence in the 10500 block of Tin Lane.  Deputies spoke
with friends of Robbins and learned that one of his friends had recently
given Robbins a ride from Lake Havasu City and Robbins had put a bike in
the back of the truck.  Deputies learned the reported stolen bike was in
the yard.  Deputies confiscated the bike and met the victim at the
Mohave County District II Substation where she identified the bike.
Upon further investigations, deputies returned to the 10500 block of Tin
Lane and contacted Robbins.  During conversations with Robbins, he said
that he took the bicycle because he doesn’t have a vehicle.  Robbins
was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II Substation.

CONTRABAND – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher Scott McKinney,
25, of Kingman, Wednesday (1/23) morning for possession of drug
paraphernalia, felony, and a warrant for failure to appear issued by
Kingman Municipal Court, misdemeanor.  Approximately 9:52 a.m., deputies
responded to a 911 call in the 3100 block of Leroy Avenue.  Deputies
contacted McKinney and a records check showed McKinney to have an
outstanding warrant.  McKinney was taken into custody without incident.
A search of McKinney revealed a pipe with residue.  During conversations
with McKinney, he said the pipe belonged to a friend.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

EXTREME DUI – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Vikas Kumar Goyal, 26, of
Bullhead City, late Tuesday (1/22) evening for DUI, DUI with a blood
alcohol concentration over .08% and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .15%, misdemeanors.  Approximately 10:45 p.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 near Camp Mohave and
contacted Goyal, the driver.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on
Goyal.  During conversations with Goyal, he admitted to have been
drinking.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Goyal was taken
into custody and transported to the Mohave County District II Substation
where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be
.194%.  He was booked into the jail without incident.  The vehicle was
towed from the scene.

RECOVERED VEHICLE – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested George Franklin Browning
Jr., 52, of Oak Forest, IL., early Wednesday (1/23) morning for theft,
felony, false report to law enforcement and driving with suspended
license, both misdemeanors.  Late Tuesday (1/22) night, at about 11:46
p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a green 2001 Hyundai Sonata
on Highway 95 at milepost 197. 
A computer check showed the vehicle was reported stolen out of Pinal
County.  Dispatch also advised that a white male subject identified as
Browning had stolen the vehicle along with a driver’s license
belonging to the owner of the vehicle.  Deputies contacted the driver,
who attempted to pass himself off as the vehicle owner by utilizing the
stolen identification.  Deputies questioned the driver, who finally
admitted that he was Browning.  Browning was taken into custody without
incident.  A records check showed Browning’s drivers license to be
suspended.  During conversations with Browning, he said the owner of the
vehicle is a friend.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Anthony Joseph Saldana, 44,
of Ontario, CA., early Sunday (1/20) evening for criminal damage,
felony, fail to stop at scene of accident, striking fixture on highway
and driving with suspended license, misdemeanors.  Saturday (1/19)
evening deputies responded to where an unknown vehicle had hit a power
pole.  At about 10:06 p.m., deputies responded to the 13000 block of
Golden Shores Parkway.  Deputies contacted the reporting party, a
property owner.  The reporting party reported hearing a loud noise and
the powering going out.   Deputies observed a large power pole removed
from the ground and sitting on the driveway.  Deputies also observed
debris was spread for approximately 200 feet.  The debris consisted of
pieces of wood from the power pole, a front grill to a Chevrolet truck
and a California license plate.  Deputies further observed tire marks
traveling off of Golden Shores Parkway and heading northbound.  A short
time later, deputies located an abandoned blue Chevrolet truck bearing
the same license plate that was found at the accident scene.  The
vehicle was parked on the east side of County Route 1, approximately 1
mile south of the power plant.  A computer check showed the registered
owner as Saldana.  Deputies located a wallet inside the truck containing
a California license for Saldana.  Deputies observed the front-end of
the vehicle suffered significant damage and the driver’s side airbag
was deployed.  Deputies did not observe any blood or any signs of
injury.  Department of Public Safety Air Rescue Helicopter responded and
searched the area for occupants of the vehicle.  The search was
conducted without success, as no one was located.  Upon further
investigations, deputies contacted Saldana’s relatives in the area and
his relatives confirmed that Saldana was in town visiting family.

without success.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.  At about 4:00
p.m., Saldana came into the Mohave County District II Substation.
Deputies contacted Saldana.  During conversations with Saldana, he said
that he doesn’t remember driving his vehicle.  Saldana further said
that he got in a brawl and woke up in the desert by the power plant.
Saldana was taken into custody and booked into the jail without
incident.  A records check showed Saldana’s license to be suspended
out of California. 

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Sarah Ann Mann, 28, of
Bullhead City, early Monday (1/21) morning on a fugitive from justice
felony warrant issued out of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office on
8-26-06 on original charge of burglary.  Approximately 12:10 a.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at Camino Colorado.
Deputies contacted Mann.  A records check showed Mann to have an
outstanding warrant.  She was taken into custody, transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II Substation without incident. 

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kristofer Michael Laughlin,
23, of Fort Mohave, Monday (1/21) afternoon on a failure to appear
felony warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.  Approximately
3:30 p.m., deputies contacted Laughlin in the 5100 block of Lakewood
Drive.  A records check showed Laughlin to have an outstanding warrant.
Laughlin was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

SUSPENDED LICENSE/WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Amy Marie Diehl, 40, of
Laughlin, NV., late Monday (1/21) evening for driving on a suspended
license and a failure to pay fines warrant issued by Bullhead City
Justice Court, both misdemeanors.  Approximately 10:59 p.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at Sterling Road and contacted
Diehl, the driver.  A records check showed Diehl to have a suspended
license and an outstanding warrant.  Diehl was taken into custody
without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Arthur Loren Kaufelt, 47,
of Kingman, late Tuesday (1/22) morning on a felony warrant for burglary
and criminal trespassing issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Approximately
10:22 a.m., deputies responded to a 911 call in the 2600 block of Butler
Avenue.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted Kaufelt.  A records check
showed Kaufelt to have an outstanding warrant.  Kaufelt was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail.

ARMED ROBBERY – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives arrested Justin Isaac
Woodall, 29, of Meadview, early Saturday (1/19) evening for armed
robbery, felony.  Early Tuesday (1/15) evening deputies responded to an
armed robbery call at a convenience store located in the 10400 block of
Harbor Avenue and contacted the reporting party, an employee.  The
reporting party said that a person came into the store and pointed a
pistol at him, demanding the drawer from the register.  The reporting
party further said that the suspect left after he gave him the register
drawer.  The reporting party reported seeing the suspect get into a dark
red van which proceeded to travel northbound on Highway 95.  A short
time later, deputies located a similar vehicle matching the description
parked in the 9100 block of Mountain View.  Deputies observed two open
cans of beer and an empty register drawer located in plain view inside
the vehicle.  The red 1999 Chrysler Mini-Van was towed from the scene.
Investigations determined the registered owner to be Woodall.  During an
on-going investigation, Woodall was identified as the suspect.  At about
6:30 p.m., MCSO Tactical Operations Unit (TOU) executed a search warrant
in the 1600 block of Camp Mohave Road and took Woodall into custody
without incident.  A black semi-automatic handgun was located under the
couch in the residence.  Woodall was transported to the Mohave County
District II Substation.  During the interview, Woodall said that the
clerk gave him the money tray after he demanded the money by showing the
butt of his handgun.  Woodall was booked into the jail.

WARRANTS ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael David Bernat, 37,
of Kingman, Friday (1/18) afternoon on a probation violation felony
warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court and a contempt of court
misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court.  Approximately
3:10 p.m., deputies contacted Bernat in the area of Norrie Drive and
Northfield Avenue.  A records check showed Bernat to have outstanding
warrants.  Bernat was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Larry Gene Kennison, 49, of
Golden Valley, early Friday (1/18) evening on a fugitive from justice
felony warrant issued out of Sacramento County in California.
Approximately 6:52 p.m., deputies contacted Kennison in the 3500 block
of Ajo Road in an unrelated incident.  A records check showed Kennison
to have an outstanding warrant.  Kennison was taken into custody without
incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Arrest made in robbery of Downey Savings and Loan

On Thursday, January 17, 2008, Brandon Loy Steinberg, 33 of NC, was arrested by the Metro Police in Las Vegas, NV, on unrelated charges.   Las Vegas Metro Police detectives obtained information that linked Steinberg to the January 10th robbery of the Downey Savings and Loan in Kingman.   KPD detectives traveled to Las Vegas and charged Steinberg with Robbery via a felony warrant issued by the Mohave County Attorney’s Office.  Steinberg is in Clark County (NV) Jail, awaiting extradition to Mohave County.  The information linking Steinberg to the robbery is not being released at this time.

 

Arrest made in Child Molestation investigation

On Thursday, January 17, 2008, at about 1:30pm, Kingman Police detectives arrested Stanley Richard Bartholf, 42 of Kingman, on a felony charge of Child Molestation after serving a search warrant at his home in the 2500blk. Valentine Ave.  Kingman Police detectives began an investigation of Child Molestation in December that resulted in the warrant being served at Bartholf’s home.  Bartholf was booked into the Mohave County Jail.   The victim in this case is a 12yoa female who was known to Bartholf.  The incident is to have occurred during the past year. There is no information to support that there are other victims locally. The investigation is continuing.

ATTEMPTED MURDER – BETWEEN DOLAN SPRINGS AND MEADVIEW
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Daniel Robert Andrews Sr.,
47, of Golden Valley, early Thursday (1/17) evening for attempted 1st
degree murder, endangerment, aggravated assault, felonies, and two
failure to appear misdemeanor warrants both issued by Kingman Justice
Court.  Approximately 2:48 p.m., deputies responded to a 911 call.
Dispatch advised deputies that a female victim was shot at by a passing
vehicle described as a gray colored truck while she was driving her
vehicle eastbound on Anterres Road.   Deputies were further advised that
the victim continued driving until her vehicle stopped, approximately 3
miles from Highway 66.  Department of Public Safety Air Rescue responded
and assisted in locating the victim.  Deputies contacted the 47-year-old
female victim.  Deputies observed a small cut on the victims’ face.
The victim said that a small truck was passing her on Anterres Road,
approximately 1 mile east of Pierce Ferry Road.  The victim further said
that the passenger of the truck started hanging out the side window and
began shooting at her.  Deputies observed several bullets holes in the
victims’ vehicle including the drivers’ side windshield.  Deputies
contacted a witness who was also traveling on Anterres Road.  The
witness said that he observed a small compact truck traveling at a high
rate of speed eastbound on Anterres Road until the vehicle turned south
onto Tres Road.  An immediate search of the area was conducted.  A short
time later, Department of Public Safety Air Rescue located the
suspects’ vehicle stranded in a sandy area, south of Tres Road.
Deputies responded to the location of the truck and tracked one of the
suspects lying in bushes in a wash.  The suspect, later identified as
Andrew, was taken into custody at gunpoint.   A records check showed
Andrew to have outstanding warrants.  He was transported and booked into
the Mohave County Jail without incident.  The second suspect is being
sought. This case remains under investigation.



SUSPENDED LICENSE – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Danny Michael Galentine,
48, of Bullhead City, Thursday (1/17) afternoon for driving on suspended
license and a failure to appear warrant issued by Bullhead City
Municipal Court, misdemeanors.  Approximately 3:27 p.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Jenny Drive and contacted
Galentine, the driver.  A records check showed Galentine to have a
suspended license and an outstanding warrant.  Galentine was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District II Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

FORGERY/FRAUD – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lynn Vergin Davenport, 48,
of Kingman, late Wednesday (1/16) afternoon for forgery and fraudulent
schemes and artifices, felonies.  Approximately 11:50 a.m., deputies
responded to a business located in the 1600 block of Northern Avenue in
reference to fraud.  Deputies contacted the reporting party, an
employee.  The reporting party said they received a customers’
returned check from a bank indicating the account was closed.  The
reporting party said they accepted this check from a woman identified as
Davenport on December 18, 2007.  The reporting party further said that
according to Davenport she was paying with her mothers check because the
service was for her mother and her mother was too sick to come into the
office.  The reporting party also said that they learned recently that
Davenport’s mother was deceased.  Deputies confirmed that
Davenport’s mother has passed away. Utilizing a photo line-up the
suspect was identified as Davenport. 
At about 2:00 p.m., deputies contacted Davenport in the area of 5th
Street and Pine Street.  Davenport was transported to Mohave County
Sheriff’s Office.  During conversations with Davenport, she denied
going into the business and giving them a check.  Davenport was taken
into custody without incident.  She was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail. 

WARRANT ARREST X2 – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kyle Wayne Johnson, 30, and
Steven Wayne Jamison, 28, both of Kingman, late Wednesday (1/16)
morning.  Johnson was arrested on a parole violation warrant issued out
of Unicoi County in Tennessee and possession of drug paraphernalia, both
felonies.  Jamison was arrested on a failure to appear misdemeanor
warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Deputies were informed by
Tennessee Sheriff’s Office regarding a wanted felon identified as
Johnson that may be in Mohave County.  Upon further investigation, at
about 9:35 a.m., deputies responded to a residence in the 4500 block of
N Glen Road.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted Johnson regarding his
outstanding warrant and took him into custody without incident.
Deputies also make contact with Jamison at the residence.  A records
check showed Jamison to have an outstanding warrant.  Jamison was taken
into custody without incident.  Johnson and Jamison were transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail.  Later, deputies located a scale
which contained a white substance in the back of their patrol vehicle.
Deputies contacted Johnson and he said the scale belonged to him.

FAILURE TO REGISTER – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Brackthan Lilly, 36,
of Kingman, late Tuesday (1/15) afternoon for failure to register as a
sex offender, a felony.  Deputies knew Lilly to be a registered sex
offender and that he failed to keep his address records updated.
Approximately 4:23 p.m., deputies contacted Lilly in the 2600 block of
Stockton Hill Road.  During conversations with Lilly, he said that he is
staying at his new place while his old residence is being repaired.
Further conversations with Lilly, he said that he forgotten to get a new
driver’s license with his updated address.  Lilly was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail.

WEAPONS OFFENSE/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kenneth Edwin Lunsford, 43,
of Mohave Valley, early Wednesday (1/16) morning for possession of
weapon by prohibited person, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies,
and driving with suspended license, misdemeanor.  Approximately 5:25
a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at King Street and
contacted Lunsford, the driver.  A records check showed Lunsford’s
drivers license to have been suspended out of California.  Lunsford was
taken into custody without incident.  A search of the vehicle revealed a
4-inch blade knife with a wooden handle and a syringe containing a clear
substance.  Lunsford was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

THEFT/WARRANTS ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Linda Lou Trumbo, 62, of
Lake Havasu City, late Monday (1/14) morning on 5 misdemeanor charges;
theft – obtaining services without paying and 4 warrants for issuing
bad check all issued by Lake Havasu City Justice.  Approximately 9:20
a.m., deputies responded to a restaurant in the 3600 block of London
Bridge Road regarding a theft.  Deputies contacted the reporting party,
owner of the restaurant.  The reporting party said that Trumbo, a
customer, has failed to pay for a $30 bill which she promised to return
and pay.  At about 11:46 a.m., deputies contacted Trumbo at Craggy Wash
area, north side of Lake Havasu City Airport.  A records check showed
Trumbo to have outstanding warrants.  Trumbo was taken into custody
without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District III Substation.

Fraudulent Schemes and Counterfeit Money arrest

On Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at about 8:15pm, Kingman Police arrested Tempest Racheal Gallagher, 45 of Phoenix, on a felony charge of Fraudulent Schemes and Practices.  A business in the 3200blk Stockton Hill Rd. reported that Gallagher had passed a counterfeit $50 bill at the business.   Officers located Gallagher exiting a business in the 3300blk Stockton Hill Rd. where she was taken into custody.  Gallagher was found in possession of additional counterfeit money.  The investigation revealed that Gallagher had presented counterfeit bills to at least seven different businesses in the area within a half hour and obtained valid currency in the change process.  It appears that Gallagher was in Kingman for the specific purpose of passing the fake bills. Gallagher was booked into the Mohave County Jail on the class 2 felony charge.  The investigation is continuing.

 

Fatal Pedestrian vs. Semi accident

On Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at about 6:50pm, Pete Adel Louis, 51 of Bullhead City, was killed when he was struck by a semi truck in the parking lot of a truck stop in the 3300blk E. Andy Devine Ave.  The investigation revealed that Louis was apparently walking across the parking lot of the truck stop when a semi truck, driven by a 46yoa FL man, struck and ran over Louis.  Louis was transported to KRMC where he was pronounced dead.  Louis had been dropped off in Kingman to catch a bus at the nearby bus stop. The tragedy appears to have been an accident.  No charges have been filed.

Resisting Arrest, Trespassing and Disorderly Conduct arrest

On Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at about 12:40am, Kingman Police arrested William David Green, 20 of Kingman, on a felony charge of Resisting Arrest and misdemeanor charges of  Assault, Trespassing and Disorderly Conduct.  A second man, 21 of Kingman, was also arrested and charged with misdemeanor Trespassing and Disorderly Conduct.  Kingman Police had initially responded to a disturbance at a business in the 3300blk Stockton Hill Rd.  It was reported that two male subjects were refusing to leave the business and fighting with employees of the business.  Upon arrival officers saw Green fighting with employees. After being taken into custody Green began to fight with officers.  Both Green and the other man were booked into the Mohave County Jail on their charges.  No one was seriously injured in the altercation.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jose Victor Mendez, 37, of
Kingman, early Monday (1/14) evening on a parole violation felony
warrant issued out of Orange County, California.  Approximately 5:01
p.m., deputies contacted Mendez in the 2400 block of Potter Avenue
regarding his outstanding warrant.  Mendez was taken into custody
without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail. 

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Steven Michael McPherson,
48, of Fort Mohave, early Tuesday (1/15) morning for assault per
domestic violence, misdemeanor. At about 1:43 a.m., deputies responded
to an assault call in the 2700 block of Sunrise Vista.  Deputies
contacted McPherson.  During conversations with McPherson, he said that
he and his wife were arguing. 
Deputies questioned McPherson about hitting his wife and McPherson said
that he was not sure, he could have.  Deputies contacted a 56-year-old
female victim.  The victim reported that McPherson, her husband, hit her
with a closed fist on the left side of her face.  McPherson was taken
into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the
Mohave County District II Substation.

DRUGS/WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Francis Majko III, 28,
of Kingman, Friday (1/11) evening for possession of dangerous drugs,
possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, and a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.  Approximately 8:15
p.m., deputies contacted Majko as he was walking northbound on Melody
Road near Thompson Avenue. A records check showed Majko to have an
outstanding warrant.  Majko began to run, after he was advised that he
was being arrested.  Majko ran about 50 yards before deputies detained
him.  A search of Majko revealed a smoking device with burnt residue and
a small bag containing a white crystal substance which tested positive
for methamphetamine.   He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail. 

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested William Lawrence Burney,
37, of Mohave Valley, Saturday (1/12) afternoon for assault per domestic
violence, disorderly conduct per domestic violence, criminal damage per
domestic violence and threatening per domestic violence, all
misdemeanors.  Approximately 3:09 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic
violence call in the 2100 block of Lonestar Drive and contacted the
41-year-old female victim.  The victim reported that Burney, her
husband, knocked over the television and dresser in their bedroom.  The
victim further reported that Burney raised his hand numerous times and
he threatened her bodily harm.  Deputies observed the cable box and the
victims’ jewelry box were damaged.  Deputies contacted Burney.  During
conversations with Burney, he said nothing was happening.  Burney was
taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into
the Mohave County District II Substation.

FRAUD/WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Dale Hopper, 44, of
Golden Valley, Saturday (1/12) evening for taking identity of another,
felony, and failure to appear misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead
City Municipal Court.  Deputies observed a vehicle traveling at a high
rate of speed on Highway 68.  Utilizing radar, deputies determined the
vehicle was traveling 67 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone.  Approximately
6:50 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4200 block of
Highway 68 and contacted the driver.  Deputies determined that the
driver identified himself as someone else.  After the driver’s
identity was determined to be Hopper, a records check showed him to have
an outstanding warrant and suspended license.   Hopper was taken into
custody without incident.  A computer check showed the plates on the
vehicle belonging to another vehicle.  Hopper was transported and booked
into the Mohave County Jail.  Hopper was also cited for driving on
suspended license, displaying fictitious license plate, speeding and
failure to provide insurance.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

FAILURE TO REGISTER – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Donald Thomas Floyd, 49, of
Fort Mohave, late Sunday (1/13) afternoon for failure to register as a
sex offender, a felony.  Deputies knew Floyd had not registered as a sex
offender with the State of Arizona.  Approximately 4:00 p.m., deputies
contacted Floyd at a residence in the 4500 block of Calle El Dorado.
Deputies learned that Floyd has been living in Arizona since June 2007.
Floyd was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and
booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

WARRANTS ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joel Matthew Singh, 54, of
Lake Havasu City, late Sunday (1/13) afternoon on two misdemeanor
warrants for failure to pay fines and failure to appear both issued by
Lake Havasu City Municipal Court.  Approximately 4:40 p.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Lake Driv
e and contacted
Singh, the driver.  A records check showed Singh to have outstanding
warrants.  Singh was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.
Singh was also cited for speeding.

BURGLARY/THEFT – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Thomas Rausch, 22, of
Mohave Valley, early Saturday (1/12) morning for burglary and theft,
felonies.  On August 13, 2007, deputies responded to a burglary report
in the 2000 block of Mustang Drive.  Deputies learned the following
items were stolen from the residence; laptop computer, desktop computer,
monitor, flash drive, miscellaneous computer software, DVD player,
television, cordless phone with accessories and a camera.  Late Friday
(1/11) the victim advised deputies that they had located some of their
reported stolen items at a residence in the 1900 block of Aqua View
Road.  At about 11:43 p.m., deputies responded and contacted the victim.
 The victim said that Rausch was giving him his laptop computer, desktop
computer, monitor and television.  During conversations with Rausch, he
admitted to taking the items from the residence.  Rausch was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District II Substation.

6X’S PROHIBITED PERSON – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Steven Edward Dann, 55, a
transient, early Thursday (1/10) evening on six counts of possession of
weapon by prohibited person, possession of marijuana and possession of
drug paraphernalia, felonies, along with knowingly displaying fictitious
license plate and driving with suspended license, misdemeanors.
Deputies observed a tan motor home slow down significantly as their
patrol unit approached it on Highway 95.  Deputies obtained the
Washington State license plate number and a computer check showed the
license plate had expired in 2006, but the vehicle was showing a 2008
tab.  Approximately 5:30 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on
Highway 95 at Laguna and contacted Dann, the driver.  During
conversations with Dann, he said that he purchased the motor home in
2007 and he had yet to change the title into his name.  A records check
showed Dann’s Washington State driver’s license was suspended for a
failure to appear.  Dann was taken into custody without incident.  A
Department of Public Safety officer responded and assisted with the
vehicle search.  The search revealed a marijuana cigarette, two white
metal pipes with burnt marijuana residue, a plastic bag containing
approximately 1.6 ounces of marijuana, a .22 caliber revolver and five
rifles.  A computer history check showed Dann was a convicted felon and
was prohibited to have firearms.  Dann was issued civil traffic
citations for no mandatory insurance, expired registration, and failure
to transfer title within 15 days.  He was transported and booked into
the Mohave County District II Substation.  The vehicle was towed from
the scene.

AGGRAVATED DUI – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested William David Lawrence, 50,
of Lake Havasu City, Thursday (1/10) evening for aggravated DUI, a
felony.  Approximately 8:31 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on
Fanthom east of Reef and contacted Lawrence, the driver.  Deputies
smelled an odor of alcohol on Lawrence.  During conversations with
Lawrence, he admitted to consuming three beers.  A records check
revealed Lawrence to have a suspended driver’s license for a prior
DUI.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Lawrence was taken
into custody and transported to the Mohave County District III
Substation where he refused to submit to a breath analysis.  A blood
sample was taken from Lawrence to be submitted to the DPS Crime Lab for
further analysis.  He was booked into the jail without incident.  The
vehicle was towed from the scene.

DRUGS – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Andrew Muehlhausen, 18, of
Golden Shores, Thursday (1/10 evening for possession of marijuana, a
felony.  While deputies were patrolling in the area of Route 66 and
Powell Lake Road, they observed what appeared to be two juveniles riding
bicycles.  Deputies slowed their patrol vehicle down to make contact
with the juveniles, but both juveniles split up and began to ride away.
Deputies observed one of the juveniles attempt to cross the desert area
with soft sand and lost control of the bike and fell.  Approximately
10:14 p.m., deputies contacted the juvenile identified as Muehlhausen
and questioned him.  Muehlhausen advised that he has weed in his
pockets.  Deputies retrieved the plastic bag containing marijuana.
Muehlhausen was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

AGGRAVATED DUI – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Sheryl Ann Cabaday, 41, of
Hawthorne, Nev., late Thursday (1/10) evening on two counts of
aggravated DUI, felonies.  Approximately 11:46 p.m., deputies responded
to a disturbance call.  Dispatch informed deputies that the subjects
would be waiting in their vehicle on Jill and Frontage.  Upon arrival,
deputies contacted the re
porting party identified as Cabaday.  Cabaday
reported that there was a disturbance earlier with her ex-husband at his
residence located in the 4000 block of Lynn.  Cabaday further reported
that she left the residence with her 18-year-old daughter and 9-year-old
nephew.  Deputies observed two juvenile passengers.  During
conversations with Cabaday, deputies smelled an odor of alcohol. During
conversations with Cabaday, she admitted to have been drinking earlier.
A records check revealed Cabaday to have a suspended driver’s license.
 Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Cabaday was taken into
custody and transported to the Mohave County District II Substation
where an analysis revealed her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be
.100.  She was booked into the jail without incident.  The vehicle was
towed from the scene.  Deputies attempted to contact Cabaday’s
ex-husband at his resident without success as know one answered the
door.

4X’S AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON - KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Pasqual Sosimo Acuna, 18,
and Raquel Esquia Acuna, 25, both of Kingman, Monday (1/7) evening.
Pasqual Acuna was arrested on 4 counts of aggravated assault with a
deadly weapon, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug
paraphernalia, all felonies.  Raquel Acuna was arrested for driving with
suspended license, misdemeanor.  Approximately 8:24 p.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop in the 2900 block of Snavely Avenue.  Deputies
contacted Raquel Acuna, the driver, and Pasqual Acuna, the passenger.  A
records check showed her driver’s license to be suspended.  Raquel
Acuna was taken into custody without incident.  Raquel Acuna was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  Deputies detained
Pasqual Acuna as he had been identified as a suspect in an assault
incident.  A search of Pasqual Acuna revealed 2 bags containing a white
substance, a pair of tweezers with burnt residue, a measuring scale, a
glass pipe with residue and numerous miscellaneous pills.  Pasqual Acuna
was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail after he was
questioned by detectives at the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies investigated two incidents that occurred early Monday (12/31)
evening in the 3100 block of Unforgiven Circle where Pasqual Acuna had
been identified as the suspect in both incidents.   
The first two victims are male; a 30-year-old and 36-year-old.  The
male victims said that they ran when they saw Acuna exit a blue truck
with a gun in his hand.  The victims further said that they heard shots
being fired after they started running away from Acuna.  The last two
victims are female and both are 19-years of age.  The female victims
said that they were traveling in their vehicle when a blue truck stopped
in the roadway and a male occupant inside the truck started shooting at
them. 

TRAFFIC OFFENSE – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Eric Treas Sr., 43,
of Mohave Valley, Tuesday (1/8) evening for knowingly display false
license plate, misdemeanor.  Approximately 8:54 p.m., deputies conducted
a traffic stop in the 8000 block of Highway 95.  Deputies contacted
Treas, the driver.   A computer check showed the license plate belonged
to another vehicle. 
Treas was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and
booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.  The vehicle was
towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Wendell Derrick Jackson,
30, of Needles, Calif., late Wednesday (1/9) evening on a failure to
appear misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court on
original charge of shoplifting.  Approximately 11:10 p.m., deputies
responded to an agency assist in the 10200 block of Barrackman Road.
Deputies contacted Jackson and a records check showed Jackson to have an
outstanding warrant.  Jackson was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation. 

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – HAVASU HEIGHTS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Donald Dean Phillips, 50,
of Havasu Heights, late Tuesday (1/8) morning for assault per domestic
violence and criminal damage per domestic violence, misdemeanors.
Approximately 10:10 a.m., deputies responded to the 3500 block of Tarpon
Drive regarding an assault that occurred Monday (1/7) evening in Havasu
Heights.  Deputies contacted the adult female victim.  The victim
reported that she was at Phillips, her boyfriend, house last night in
the 4200 block of Chero Lane.  The victim further reported that Phillips
grabbed her by her arms and pushed her into her truck.  The victim also
said that Phillips dented her truck when he threw a wine bottle as she
was driving away.  Deputies observed a dent in the driver’s door frame
of the victims’ vehicle.  Deputies contacted Phillips at his
residence.  During conversations with Phillips, he said that they got
into a pushing match last night and he admitted to throwing a bottle at
her truck.  Phillips was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Ricky Joseph Frankie Lee,
18, of Dolan Springs, Monday (1/7) afternoon on a felony warrant for
theft and trafficking stolen property issued by Kingman Justice Court on
12-28-07.  On November 24, 2007, deputies responded to a burglary at a
residence in the 16700 block of Kitmit Drive in Dolan Springs.  A
variety of items were reported stolen; clothing belonging to Ricky Lee,
collectible plates, coins and cash, a purse, an antique cross bow and 5
Zippo lighters.   Upon investigations, deputies learned that Lee moved
out of the residence in the summer of 2007.  With the assistance of a
Sheriff’s Posse member, the posse member determined through pawn
tickets that Lee had sold some coins to a pawn shop.  The coins were
recovered from the pawn shop.  This case was submitted to the Mohave
County Attorney’s Office for review and a warrant was issued for Lee.
Monday (1/7) afternoon detectives observed Lee get into a vehicle and
proceed to drive away. Detectives knew Lee to have an outstanding
warrant.  Approximately 2:10 p.m., detectives conducted a traffic stop
at Mohave Airport Drive and Commerce Drive.  Detectives contacted Lee
and took him into custody without incident.  He was transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Rico Francisco Oliva, 28,
of Fort Mohave, early Tuesday (1/8) morning for possession of dangerous
drugs, possession of marijuana, and 6 counts of possession of drug
paraphernalia, all felonies.  Approximately 1:39 a.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop in the area of Camp Mohave and Calle Del Media.
 A records check showed Oliva’s drivers license to be suspended.
Oliva was taken into custody without incident.  A search of Oliva
revealed 2 glass pipes and a pouch which contained approximately 6 grams
of a white crystal substance. A search of the vehicle revealed a
marijuana pipe, rolling papers and marijuana located in a glass bottle.
Oliva was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation.

RECOVERED VEHICLES – WHITE HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mark Elkenbary, 43, of
White Hills, Tuesday (1/8) morning on two counts of unlawful use of
transportation and theft, felonies.  Tuesday (1/1) deputies responded to
a reported burglary at a residence on the south side of White Hills
Road, near milepost 2.2.  The 64-year-old male victim reported that
someone broke into his residence and taken the following items;
microwave, television, stereo, phone, wall pictures, various mechanic
tools, 20” chain, red 1983 Honda 250 dirt motorcycle and red and white
Honda 4-wheeler all terrain vehicle.  Upon investigation, deputies
determined multiple suspects may be involved with the burglary and
theft.  Deputies spoke with witnesses and learned that Elkenbary had
possession of the motorcycle and ATV at his residence.  On Friday (1/4)
deputies located the reported stolen motorcycle and ATV at Elkenbary’s
residence located in the 19000 block of Highway 93.  Deputies attempted
to contact Elkenbary, but he was not home.  The victim was at the scene
and he identified the items.  At about 9:15 a.m., deputies contacted
Elkenbary at his residence.  During conversations with Elkenbary, he
said that he purchased the motorcycle from someone at the swap meet and
he also purchased the ATV from someone that he knows.  Further
conversations with Elkenbary, he said that he did not have receipts for
either purchase.  Elkenbary was taken into custody without incident.  He
was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  This case
remains under investigation. 

WARRANT ARREST – BULLHEAD CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Toby James Sexton, 32, and
Andrea Allyson Anderson, 36, both of Bullhead City, early Wednesday
(1/9) morning.  Sexton was
 arrested for driving with suspended license,
failure to produce vehicle insurance and failure to carry registration,
misdemeanors.  Anderson was arrested on a failure to appear misdemeanor
warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice court.  Approximately 12:05
a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Bullhead City Parkway,
approximately .2 miles east of Highway 95.  Deputies contacted Sexton,
the driver, and Anderson, the passenger.  A records check showed Sexton
to have suspended driver’s license and Anderson to have an outstanding
warrant.   Sexton was cited and released at the scene.  Anderson was
taken into custody without incident.  She was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II Substation.  The vehicle was towed
from the scene.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Cruz Beckmon, 27, of
Kingman, early Wednesday (1/9) morning for assault/aggravated domestic
violence, felony, and criminal damage, misdemeanor.  Approximately 3:41
a.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 2800 block
of McVicar Avenue and contacted the 23-year-old female victim.  The
victim reported that Beckmon, her boyfriend, jumped on her and was
punching her in the stomach.  The victim further reported that Beckmon
kicked in their bedroom door.  Deputies observed a five inch crack in
the wooden door.  Deputies contacted Beckmon.  During conversations with
Beckmon, he said that he had a few beers and he did not have any
physical contact with his girlfriend.  A history check showed Beckmon to
have a history of domestic violence incidents.  Beckmon was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail.

SEARCH WARRANT – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Allen Dumond, 35,
John Warren Armitage, 48, and Shenna Jean Greathouse-Farmer, 18, all of
Mohave Valley, Tuesday (1/8) morning.  Dumond was arrested for
possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and
possession of a weapon by prohibited person, felonies, along with a
felony warrant and a misdemeanor warrant.  The felony warrant was issued
by Bullhead City Justice Court for conspiracy and burglary.  The
misdemeanor warrant was issued by Bullhead City Justice Court for
disorderly conduct per domestic violence, criminal damage per domestic
violence and two assault charges.  Armitage was arrested on a parole
violation felony warrant issued out of California Department of
Corrections.  Greathouse-Farmer was arrested for possession of marijuana
and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Approximately 4:45
a.m., Mohave County Sheriff’s Office TOU (Tactical Operations Units)
executed a search warrant in the 7800 block of Mallard Street for a
wanted felon identified as Dumond.  The occupants inside the residence
would not comply with orders to come out.   The occupants barricaded
themselves inside the residence and tear gas was eventually deployed
during the incident.  After the tear gas was deployed, the occupants,
identified as Dumond, Armitage and Greathouse-Farmer, came out of the
residence where they were detained.  A records check showed Armitage to
have an outstanding warrant.  A search of the residence revealed
marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a rifle and an object that looked similar
to a pipe bomb.  Bullhead Police Department’s Bomb Squad responded and
determined the object was not an explosive device.  Dumond, Armitage and
Farmer were transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation without further incident.

FAIL TO REGISTER – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Sean Paul Desrosiers, 24,
of Kingman, Monday (1/7) afternoon for failure to register as a sex
offender, a felony.  Mohave County Sheriff’s Sex Offender Registration
Officer was informed that an unregistered sex offender identified as
Desrosiers may be residing in the area.  Upon further investigation, the
Sex Offender Registration Officer learned that Desrosiers was convicted
on a sexual abuse case in Oregon on 10-21-01 and that Desrosiers has not
registered in Mohave County.  Approximately 2:42 p.m., Desrosiers was
contacted in the area of Cherum Road and Calle Charcas Road where he was
taken into custody without incident.  Desrosiers was transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail.

FRAUD/FORGERY – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jacob Colin Douglas, 18, of
Fort Mohave, early Sunday (1/6) evening for forgery, fraudulent
schemes/artifices and trafficking stolen property, felonies.  On
November 28, 2007, deputies responded to a theft report at a residence
in the 5600 block of Flint Street.  Deputies contacted the 53-year-old
male victim.  The victim reported that someone cashed a check against
his checking account.  The victim further reported the check was cashed
by someone with the name of Jacob Douglas for $150.14.  The victim also
said that he discovered that 9 checks were missing from his check book.
Investigations determined the check was cashed at a bank the previous
day by Jacob Douglas.  Deputies attempted to contact Douglas numerous
times without success.  On Sunday (1/6) at about 5:35 p.m., deputies
made contact with Douglas during a traffic stop in the area of Highway
95 and Chaparral.  Douglas was taken into custody without incident.  He
was transported to Mohave County District II Substation.  During
conversations with Douglas, he said that he got the check from some guy
after he worked 4 hours doing landscaping.  Further conversations with
Douglas, he said he cashed the check at a bank in Fort Mohave.   Douglas
was booked into the jail.

AGGRAVATED DUI – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael James Klis, 26, of
Bullhead City, early Monday (1/7) morning for aggravated DUI, felony.
Jeffrey Allen Kunz was arrested for open container in a motor vehicle, a
misdemeanor.  Approximately 12:43 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic
stop on Highway 95 at El Rodeo Road.  Deputies contacted Klis, the
driver, and Kunz, the passenger.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol
coming from the cab of the vehicle and on Klis breath.  During
conversations with Klis, he admitted to having one beer earlier.
Deputies had Klis exit the vehicle.  Deputies observed two bottles of
beer sitting in the cup holder between the driver and passenger seats.
A records check revealed Klis driver’s license to have been suspended
due to a prior DUI.  Klis and Kunz were taken into custody and
transported to the Mohave County District II Substation.  Following the
field sobriety tests (FST’s), an analysis of Klis revealed his blood
alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .138%.  He was booked into the jail
without incident.  Kunz was cited and released.  The vehicle was towed
from the scene.

ASSAULT – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lowell George Springer, 54,
a transient, Monday (1/7) morning for assault, misdemeanor.  Early
Saturday (1/5) evening deputies responded to an assault call in the area
east of Craggy Wash, approximately 1 mile east of Highway 95.  Upon
arrival, deputies contacted the 59-year-old male victim.  The victim
reported that he was watching television inside his van when Springer
knocked on his door.  The victim further reported that he opened the
sliding door and Springer hit him on the forehead with the metal part of
his walking cane.  Deputies observed a laceration on the victims’
forehead.  Desert Hills Fire Department personnel responded and treated
the victim.   Deputies were unable to locate Springer at his campsite,
approximately 100 yards southeast of the victims’ site.  An ATL
(Attempt to Locate) was issued to area law enforcement.  At about 9:35
a.m., deputies located Springer in the Craggy Wash area.  During
conversations with Springer, he said that the victim threaten to take
his dog from him.  Further conversations with Springer, he admitted that
he hit the victim.  Springer was taken into custody without incident.
He was booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Karen Jane Andrew, 40, of
Kingman, early Monday (1/7) evening for aggravated assault per domestic
vi
olence, felony.  Friday (1/4) deputies responded to an assault call in
the 3800 block of Northfield Avenue and contacted the 22-year-old male
victim.  The victim reported that Andrew, his dad’s girlfriend, struck
him with her vehicle as she was doing donuts.  At about 2:30 p.m.,
deputies contacted Andrew in the 2600 block of Packard Avenue.  During
conversations with Andrew, she said that her vehicle slid a little bit
as she was peeling out and she didn’t think she was going to hit the
victim.  Andrew was taken into custody without incident.  She was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DRUGS/WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Arabella Deseray Chaffin,
35, of Kingman, late Friday (1/4) morning for possession of narcotic
drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, probation violation warrant
issued by Mohave County Superior Court, felonies, and a misdemeanor
warrant for failure to appear issued by Kingman Justice Court.
Approximately 10:43 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at a
residence in the 3800 block of Northfield Avenue.   Deputies contacted
Chaffin outside the residence.  A records check showed Chaffin to have
outstanding warrants.  Chaffin was taken into custody without incident.
A search of Chaffin revealed a pipe with burnt residue and numerous
pills.  Deputies later identified the pills to be a narcotic drug and
determined Chaffin did not have a prescription for the pills.  She was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/EXTREME DUI – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Richard Christopher Arizaga
Jr., 20, of Bullhead City, early Saturday (1/5) morning for possession
of drug paraphernalia, felony, DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .08%, extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration
over .15%, and minor driving after drinking, misdemeanors.
Approximately 2:00 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 9000
block of Highway 95 and contacted Arizaga, the driver.  Deputies smelled
an odor of alcohol on Arizaga.  During conversations with Arizaga, he
admitted to have been drinking.  Following the field sobriety tests
(FST’s), Arizaga was taken into custody.  A search of the vehicle
revealed a glass pipe located in the glove box.  During conversations
with Arizaga, he said the pipe belonged to his cousin.  Arizaga was
transported to the Mohave County District II Substation where an
analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .162%.  He
was booked into the jail without incident.  The vehicle was towed from
the scene. 

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jimmy Wayne Gravitt, 47, of
Bullhead City, early Saturday (1/5) morning on a misdemeanor warrant for
failure to appear issued by Bullhead City Justice Court on 10-31-07.
Approximately 5:45 a.m., deputies contacted Gravitt in the parking lot
of a grocery store located in the 4800 block of Highway 95.  A records
check showed Gravitt to have an outstanding warrant.  Gravitt was taken
into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the
Mohave County District II Substation.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Lee Avery, 45, of
Kingman, Saturday (1/5) morning on a failure to appear felony warrant
issued by Coconino County Superior Court on 11-4-98.  Approximately 8:21
a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 4700 block of Powell
Avenue and contacted Avery.  A records check showed Avery to have an
outstanding warrant.  Avery was taken into custody without incident.  He
was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Thomas Eugene Achor, 48, of
Mohave Valley, Saturday (1/5) evening for assault per domestic violence,
a misdemeanor.  Approximately 9:07 p.m., deputies responded to a
domestic violence call in the 7400 block of Harquahala Drive and
contacted the 45-year-old female victim.  The victim reported that she
and Achor, her boyfriend, had been arguing.  The victim further reported
that Achor tapped her multiple times in the chest.  Deputies contacted
Achor.  During conversations with Achor, he admitted to hitting the
victim by tapping her in the chest several times.  Achor was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District II Substation.

Lake Havasu City, Sunday (1/6) morning on a misdemeanor warrant for
failure to pay fines issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court on
12-12-07.  Approximately 10:55 a.m., deputies contacted Moore at a
residence in the 4000 block of Little Finger regarding his outstanding
warrant.  Moore was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

WARRANTS ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ronald Melvin Belton Jr.,
56, of Bullhead City, late Sunday (1/6) morning on two misdemeanor
warrants both for failure to pay fines issued by Bullhead City Municipal
Court and Bullhead City Justice Court.  Approximately 11:57 a.m.,
deputies made contact with Belton during a traffic stop at Palm Lane and
Valencia Road.  A records check showed Belton to have multiple
outstanding warrants.  Belton was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation.

AGGRAVATED DUI – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Harry Charles Acebes, 38,
of Fort Mohave, Sunday (1/6) evening for aggravated DUI, felony.
Approximately 8:15 p.m., deputies responded to a suspicious person that
may have passed out in the driver’s seat of a parked red vehicle
located in the 1700 block of Willow Drive.  Upon arrival, deputies
observed tire tracks leading west bound off the north side of Willow
Drive onto the dirt shoulder.   The tire tracks led up to a small
embankment to a red 1993 Ford vehicle.  As deputies approached the
vehicle, they observed a male subject, later identified as Acebes,
asleep in the driver’s seat.  After numerous attempts, Acebes finally
awoke.  Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Acebes.  During
conversations with Acebes, he admitted to have been drinking.  A records
check revealed Acebes driver’s license to have been suspended due to a
prior DUI.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Acebes was
taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District II
Substation where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration
(BAC) to be .254%.  He was booked into the jail without incident.  The
vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dennis George Foster, 28,
of Desert Hills, Sunday (1/6) evening on a misdemeanor warrant for
failure to pay fines issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court on
12-13-07.  Approximately 11:00 p.m., deputies responded to an agency
assist in the 1900 block of Thrasher Lane.  Deputies contacted Foster.
A records check showed Foster to have an outstanding warrant.  Foster
was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District III Substation.

Mohave County Sheriff's Office is asking the public’s assistance for
information regarding a burglary that occurred sometime between Saturday
(12/29) evening or early Sunday (12/30) morning at a new house
construction site located in the 4200 block of Old Ranch Lane.  The
following appliances were reported stolen; Maytag range gas oven (where
the door opens to the side), Kitchen Maid Refrigerator, Kitchen Maid
stainless steel dishwasher, Whirlpool front loader dishwasher, Whirlpool
dryer and two electric floor heaters.
If anyone has any information, please contact Mohave County Sheriff’s

SUSPENDED LICENSE/WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Sheldon Almeida, 53, of
Lake Havasu City, Thursday (1/3) evening for driving with suspended
license and a warrant for issuing bad check issued by Lake Havasu City
Justice Court, both misdemeanors.  Approximately 8:20 p.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at Lake Drive and contacted
Almeida, the driver.  A records check showed Almeida to have a suspended
driver’s license and an outstanding warrant.  Almeida was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation. 

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT/DRUGS – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew Thomas Herschberg,
43, and Alfonso Cahuante Padilla, 41, both of Anaheim California, early
Friday (1/4) morning.  Herschberg was arrested for possession of
dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of
drug paraphernalia, felonies.  Padilla was arrested for possession of
marijuana, felony.
Approximately 1:25 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Frontage
Road at Gardner Road.  As deputies contacted Herschberg, the driver, and
Padilla, the passenger, they smelled an odor of marijuana coming from
inside the vehicle.  During conversations with Herschberg, he admitted
to having a pipe in his front pocket and marijuana in the vehicle.
Deputies retrieved a black metal pipe from Herschberg.  Deputies located
a plastic bag containing approximately 7 grams of marijuana from inside
the cab of the vehicle.  Herschberg and Padilla were taken into custody
without incident.  A further search of the vehicle revealed a glass pipe
with residue and a vial containing a white crystal substance.  They were
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.  Alfonso Cahuante Padilla was
determined to be an illegal immigrant with the assistance of Immigration
and Customs Enforcement.  Immigration and Naturalization Service placed
an immigration hold on Padilla.

FAILURE TO COMPLY – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Dominick Maningoine,
43, of Mohave Valley, early Friday (1/4) morning for failure to comply
with sex offender registration requirements, felony.  Approximately 6:40
a.m., deputies contacted Maningoine in the area of Boundry Cone Road and
Highway 95.  A records check showed Maningoine to be a registered sex
offender and his driver’s license expired which is a violation of a
registered sex offender.  Maningoine was taken into custody without
incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District

Arrest made in Burglary to business

On Wednesday, January 2, 2008 about 7:30am, Kingman Police arrested Eugene Edmondson, 46 homeless, for the felony charge of 3rd Degree Burglary.  Officers responded to a business in the 2400blk Kingman Ave., upon the report of stolen copper.  Edmondson was identified as a suspect in the theft.  Edmondson was later located nearby and admitted to the theft.  Edmondson was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Patrick Lunde, 43,
of Fort Mohave, late Wednesday (1/2) morning on a failure to appear
misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court on original
charge of shoplifting.  Approximately 11:01 a.m., deputies contacted
Lunde as he was walking in the 1600 block of Joy Lane.  A records check
showed Lunde to have an outstanding warrant.  Lunde was taken into
custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District II Substation. 

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jose Valenzuela, 44, of
Oatman, early Wednesday (1/2) afternoon on a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court on original
charge of DUI.  Approximately 12:45 p.m., deputies contacted Valenzuela
at the Mohave County District II Substation.  A records check showed
Valenzuela to have an outstanding warrant.  Valenzuela was taken into
custody without incident and he was booked into the jail. 

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Sean Springer, 30,
of Fort Mohave, Wednesday (1/2) evening for possession of drug
paraphernalia, felony.  Approximately 8:30 p.m., deputies contacted
Springer as he was walking in the 1600 block of Camp Mohave Road.
During conversations with Springer, he said that he has a marijuana
pipe.  Deputies retrieved the pipe.  Springer was taken into custody
without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation. 

BURGLARY – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Jon Sandoval, 42,
of Golden Shores, Wednesday (1/2) evening for burglary, felony, and
criminal damage, misdemeanor.  On June 8, 2007, deputies responded to a
burglary at a residence in the 1300 block of Vacation Drive.  Deputies
contacted the 56-year-old female victim.  The victim reported that
Sandoval had burglarized and taken items from her residence.  Deputies
observed damage to the front door frame where someone had forced entry.
The victim further reported that wires were cut and the power box had
been disconnected from the wall.  Deputies contacted a witness and the
witness observed Sandoval go into the residence on June 8th.
Approximately 9:50 p.m., deputies contacted Sandoval in the area of
Bermuda Place and Carol Drive.  Sandoval was taken into custody without
incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District
II Substation. 

EXTREME DUI – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Bryan Wagner, 19,
of Kingman, Wednesday (1/2) evening for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .08% and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .15%, misdemeanors.  Approximately 10:35 p.m.,
deputies responded to a non-injury accident on Jerome Avenue at Highway
95.  During the investigation, deputies contacted Wagner, one of the
driver’s involved in the accident.  Deputies smelled an odor of
alcohol on Wagner.  During conversations with Wagner, he initially said
that he had not been drinking and later he admitted that he had been
drinking.  Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Wagner was
taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District II
Substation where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration
(BAC) to be .219%.  He was booked into the jail without incident.  The
vehicle was towed from the scene.

MCSO NEEDS YOUR ASSISTANCE  
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in
identifying the person or persons involved with the shooting of Anthony
Ray Martin Jr., 28, of Kingman.
 On Tuesday, December 4th, 2007, deputies responded to the scene at
about 3:32 p.m. where they spoke with the reporting party who discovered
Martin’s body as they were passing by.  Martin was located lying off
the roadway of N Bank Street near Cactus Wren, approximately 5 miles
north of Kingman. 
Autopsy results determined the victim died of multiple gun shot wounds.
 This case remains under investigation. 
Anyone with any information regarding this case is urged to contact the

leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for

SUSPENDED LICENSE/WARRANTS ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ryan Franklin Webb, 20, of
Fort Mohave, Monday (12/31) morning on a felony warrant for theft issued
by Bullhead City Justice Court and a misdemeanor warrant for failure to
appear issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court.  Aaron Hoft, 27, of Fort
Mohave, was cited for driving on suspended license, misdemeanor.
Approximately 7:23 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Calle
Viveza at Camp Mohave.  Deputies contacted Hoft, the driver, and Webb,
the passenger.  A records check showed Hoff’s driver’s license to be
suspended and showed Webb to have outstanding warrants.  Webb was taken
into custody without incident.  Webb was transported and booked into the
Mohave County District II Substation.  Hoft was cited and released at
the scene.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Charles Mungarro Jr., 40,
of Kingman, Monday (12/31) afternoon on a probation violation felony
warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court on 6-16-06.
Approximately 12:45 p.m., Mungarro turned himself in on an outstanding
warrant at the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.  Deputies contacted
Mungarro and a records check confirmed his outstanding warrant.
Mungarro was taken into custody without incident.  Mungarro was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. 

CRIMINAL DAMAGE/ESCAPE – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Nicholas Paul Umphress, 20,
of Mohave Valley, early Tuesday (1/1) morning for criminal damage,
destruction of jail property, escape, felonies, and the following
misdemeanor charges; two counts of furnishing alcohol to minors, minor
in possession of liquor and under twenty-one years of age with alcohol
in system.  Approximately 1:01 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance
in the 2300 block of Willow Drive.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted
Umphress, the tenant.  Deputies observed band equipment and many young
adults in the garage.  Deputies further observed beer cans in the front
yard, driveway and scattered in the garage.  Umphress was taken into
custody without incident.  Deputies made contact with over fifteen
individuals.  While deputies were speaking with the individuals, they
heard a loud sound come from their patrol unit.  Deputies walked over to
their patrol unit and observed that Umphress had positioned his
handcuffs from the back of his body to the front of his body.  Deputies
further observed the vehicles’ door panel was ripped off the door
frame and the door no longer opened.  Deputies removed Umphress from the
patrol unit and he was re-handcuffed and placed into another patrol
unit.  Umphress was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation without further incident. 

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Ray Babb, 43, of
Mohave Valley, Tuesday (1/1) morning on a contempt of court misdemeanor
warrant issued out of La Paz County on 10-30-07.  Approximately 9:51
a.m., deputies responded to a business located in the 5000 block of
Highway 95 in reference to a burglar alarm.  Upon arrival, deputies
contacted Babb, an employee of the business.  Babb advised that another
employee had set off the burglar alarm.  A records check showed Babb to
have an outstanding warrant.   Babb was taken into custody without
incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District
II Substation. 

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Sarai Marie Canales, 23, of
Prescott, early Wednesday (1/2) morning on a failure to appear
misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court.
Approximately 3:08 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95
at milepost 183 and contacted Canales, the driver.  A records check
showed Canales to have a
n outstanding warrant.  Canales was taken into
custody without incident.  She was transported and booked into the
Mohave County District III Substation. 

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Hubert Allen Bennett, 36,
of Fort Mohave, early Tuesday (1/1) evening for aggravated domestic
violence, felony.  Approximately 8:35 p.m., deputies responded to a
domestic violence call in the 1400 block of Paseo Redondo Drive and
contacted Bennett.  During conversations with Bennett, he said that he
and his girlfriend were out earlier drinking with friends and they
returned home around 8:00 p.m.  Further conversations with Bennett, he
admitted to yelling and cursing at his girlfriend.  Deputies contacted
two witnesses and both witnesses said they observed Bennett throw beer
on the victim and slammed the victims’ head against a wall.  A
computer check showed Bennett to have a history of domestic violence
incidents.  Bennett was taken into custody without incident.  He was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. 

RESISTING ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Earl Scott Flewell, 43, of
Fort Mohave, early Wednesday (1/2) morning for resisting arrest, and the
following two warrants; probation violation on original charge of sexual
conduct with a minor issued by Mohave County Superior Court and failure
to register as sex offender issued by Arizona Department of Public
Safety, all felonies.
Approximately 1:58 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway
95 at milepost 230.  Deputies contacted Flewell.  A records check showed
Flewell to have outstanding warrants.  As deputies were taking Flewell
into custody, he resisted and ignored their commands.  After a brief
struggle, Flewell was taken into custody.  Flewell was transported and
booked into the Mohave County District II Substation without further
incident.

Aggravated Assault, Flight from Law Enforcement, Criminal Damage and DUI

On Tuesday, January 1, 2008, Kingman Police arrested James Alvin Redd III, 24 of Kingman, on felony charges of aggravated assault/domestic violence, aggravated assault on police officer, felony flight from law enforcement, criminal damage, resisting arrest and three charges of misdemeanor DUI.  At about 4:10am, officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 1800blk. Morrow Ave.  Upon officers arrival Redd had entered a white SUV and accelerated at the arriving officer.  The officer was able to avoid being hit by the vehicle being driven by Redd.  Redd fled from the scene in the vehicle.  Officers attempted to stop Redd.  Upon entering the parking lot of a business in the 3300blk Stockton Hill Rd., Redd drove into a cement barrier, causing the SUV to flip over, landing on its top.   Redd exited the vehicle and refused officers commands.  A Taser was used on Redd who was taken into custody without further incident.   The investigation revealed that Redd had threatened to kill his 21 year old girlfriend at the residence.  Redd had threatened her with a knife, kicked and punched her numerous times.   Redd also caused damage to another vehicle at the residence.  Alcohol was believed to have been involved
